Question: When Blackadder is taunting Dr. Johnson with his knowledge of the English language, are any of the words he says legitimate words? If so what are their definitions?
Answer: None of them are actually real words, although, in most cases, they're close enough to genuine words that some sort of plausible meaning can be determined. Good examples would be "interludicle", which is obviously a variant on "interlude", "velocitous", a play on "velocity" expressing Edmund's desire that Dr Johnson leave as soon as possible or "anaspeptic" which could be drawn from the prefix "ana", meaning "up" and "peptic", which refers to the stomach - possibly some sort of vomit reference.
Question: Where did the original zombies come from? I understand that if you were bitten, you became a zombie, but how did the very first zombie come about?
Answer: The very first zombies would have been dead people that rose from their graves, but part of the horror of the story is that we don't know exactly why this is happening or how to stop it.
Question: Does anyone know where I can find transcripts for the show (mainly Day 1)?
Answer: http://www.geocities.com/scripts_for_free/home has the first seven episodes of series one, the first episode of series two and the first eight episodes of series three.
Question: What does the Russian say when the Americans are going to board the Red October?
Answer: He asks him if he likes bologna sandwiches.
Question: How do you get the secret easter eggs on both of the Extended DVD's? I've tried and I've only managed to get two of them and they were the trailers.
Answer: To get to the MTV Council of Elrond parody: Disc 1 extended edition. Go to "Select a Scene" and scroll to scene 27, the C of E. Press DOWN and a ring should pop up. Select the ring. PJ appears and you see the parody. To get to the Two Towers preview: Disc 2 extended edition. From main menu, go to "Select a Scene." Select chapter 48 in right column. "Fan club credits" appears. Go back to the right column to chapter 48 and press DOWN. An image of the Two Towers pops up. Select the Towers. PJ appears and you see the preview.
Question: Was that Justin Timberlake i saw on the far left of the screen after the dance competition?
Answer: No. If someone as big a star as Justin Timberlake was doing a cameo in a movie, it would be VERY well-known.
Question: During the Simpsons, characters have died and not come back as you would expect in real life. However, one character, Hans Moleman has been run over, been attacked by a drill and so on. How come he has not died?
Answer: This is a recurring joke - Moleman should really be dead (he pops out of a grave in "Mother Simpson" and during the heatwave episode Dr. Hibbert find him cooling down in the morgue and says "Don't go too far", etc.) yet somehow isn't. It's a cartoon - don't look for too much reality.
Answer: There is a theory that moleman is a clone among other versions of him. This was even a gag in an episode when one character falls through the ground and there are hundreds of them. It was probably just a gag or joke but is certainly makes sense.
Question: What was so bad about the bearing's to the Isla De Morta that there was a mutiny back when Jack was captain of the Black Pearl?
Answer: The island was almost impossible to get to and had a large treasure. Jack, as captain would have taken a greater share of the profits, so once the rest of the pirates knew the co-ordinates, they didn't need Jack anymore and got rid of him to increase their share. They were being greedy but hey - PIRATES!
Question: I never understood the two people on the bikes, you know the people with all the stars. What are they suppose to represent?
Answer: They are extraterrestrials, the fact they are weird gives it away to K now he has been deneuralized. He started to notice them again as his mind is rebooting.
Answer: They don't represent anything. Barry Sonnenfeld says in the commentary that he simply likes to use that cycling couple as he thinks that it is a cool visual.
Answer: And apparently they are a couple who actually live in that area of New York. So they may be familiar to some who see them in the movie.
Question: The Director states in the commentary that there are some clues to some kind of puzzle at certain scenes (such as When Lara is doing the bungee ballet and when Alex gets knifed). What are these clues that we're supposed to be looking for - something in the background? The action? Some kind of composition? And just what is the puzzle?
Answer: This movie left a lot of holes. It was pretty much: Lara knew what to do and she did it. Perhaps there are clues in the movie, but the book explains all the puzzles in much more detail (as books do). So if you are really interested in the deep puzzles of the adventure, the Tomb Raider book is what you should look at.
Question: I am confused as to the time difference between X-Men and X2. I heard it is 3 weeks and it was 3 years. Some say its 3 years because of Cyclops' new car, but then I realize that it doesn't take Logan 3 years to reach Alkali Lake. So, what is the time difference?
Answer: 3 weeks would be more than enough time to get to Canada and back. Further, we never know for sure if Cyclops had 2 or more cars to start with. Also, as Rogue is only 17-18, she would have changed dramatically in 3 years. 3 weeks, or a similar relatively short period of time, is far more likely.
Answer: I've been wondering that too. 3 weeks definitely makes more sense to me, but that actually made me think of another question. Since the first movie came out in 2000 and the second in 2003, it made me wonder what year it is. I suppose either are possible.
Question: If Rachel is already safe because she copied the tape, why does she still get all the symptoms that the other doomed victims do?
Answer: The main point to remember is, Samara wants to tell her story. Yes, by copying the tape, Rachel's s letting other people know of Samara's story, but the symptoms are probably still there as an extra mean for Samara to show her what she went through. I think this shows that the curse is in full effect for the whole time, and that the copying only prevents the final outcome.
Question: I'm an Aussie who just bought the box-set of CSI Series 1 DVD's and I was wondering why all the episodes have a different opening song? It definitely isn't 'Who Are You?' but the song's credit is still at the end of every episode. Was there some copyright issues or something?
Answer: Pete Townshend did a "remix" of the song. If you listen to it all the way through (it's about 6-7 mins long) You will find that it is the same piece of music.
Kill the Alligator and Run - S11-E19
Question: During the Spring Break vacation in 'Kill the Alligator and Run' episode, I don't understand a lot of the Kid Rock section. Who is Kid Rock and Joe C? And what is going on with the presenter with the diamond in her hand who gets dragged off by security when she says it's her birthday?
Answer: Kid Rock is a rock star, and Joe C was his sidekick (he died in 2000). The jewel in the hand was a reference to the movie Logan's Run, where the changing color of the jewel indicated that a person had reached the end of their alloted lifespan of 30 years.
Question: There is one thing that bothered me at the end of the movie. When the two police investigators are killed and the narrator says that the case is still open why didn't the authorities (police, FBI and so on), descend on that area and try to catch Leatherface? He just killed two police officers among other people and they are just going to leave it as an open case?
Chosen answer: What makes you think they didn't? They obviously just never caught him.
Question: Does anybody knows why Seinfeld did not accept to make one more season of his show? I'm sure money wasn't the problem...
Answer: Seinfeld has claimed that he wanted to "go out on top". He was done with TV and wanted to venture back into stand-up comedy.
Answer: I saw an old interview with him, and he realised he was in his 40s, he didn't have a partner or kids just all this money, guess it's true what they say money can't buy happiness, I believe he just wanted a life.
Adding on to this comment, he got married in 1999. In 2014, he said, "If it wasn't for Jess and the kids, I'd really blow my brains out. Jessica saved my life. She gave me something to care about."
Question: In Lockharts classroom, Hermione shouts "Imobulous" or something like it and all the pixies are frozen in mid air and can't move. Why don't Ron and Harry just use the same spell on the spiders when the spiders start to come after them?
Answer: They're panicking and can't remember the spell. Hermione is the smarter and more level headed of the three, that's why she remembered it.

Answer: Primarily in the Middle Ages, but both before and after as well, preadolescent boys had their testicles cut off to preserve their voices by preventing the sexual changes of puberty. They then maintained the high voices of their youth through adulthood, though they never physically matured. So to call someone a eunoch is to say they are a person with no balls, and all the connotation thereof. Hence the insult to the French.
