Question: In the Fellowship it shows Isildur dead in the water from some arrows and then the Ring falling into the water. In the RotK it shows Deagol picking up the Ring in the water. Where exactly is this?

Answer: This takes place in an area referred to as the Gladden Fields, which is where the Gladden River meets the Great River Anduin (the river that the Fellowship travel on by boat), some distance to the north of Galadriel's realm of Lorien.

Answer: As seen in the Extended Edition, their primary reason is to talk to Saruman and to find out what he knows. While they would know by that point that the Ents are up to something - the appearance of the Huorns at Helm's Deep (Two Towers Extended) would tell them that - it's not likely that they'd actually know that the Ents had attacked Isengard. They might strongly suspect that something had happened there, but it's not likely that they actually knew for certain.

Question: Near the start of the film when the woman who throws herself off the building is being chased up the steps, she gets bitten on her lower left arm and another bite just appears on the top of her same arm. I never saw how she got this. Did she get bitten again?

Answer: Yes, she gets bitten twice.

Question: At the beginning of the movie, who is the guy who tells someone he cannot imagine Chow Yun Fat playing Madman?

Answer: That is Matt Wagnerm, creator of the "Madman" comic series.

Question: Why was there dog food on board in the first place? I thought that Red Dwarf wasn't meant to have any animals on board- so why was it needed?

Answer: It's entirely possible there were animals on board. Lister mentions lab mice, there could have been other lab animals too, or pets. Lister got in trouble with the cat because it hadn't been quarantined or vaccinated.

Answer: Jason is the son of Elias and Pamela Sue Voorhees.

Question: I have not seen this film but have heard that at one point Jack Black sings the Bruce Dickinson song 'Tears Of The Dragon'. Is this true? There is nothing on the IMDb.

Answer: The song isn't on the soundtrack, and I can't find anywhere in the film where Jack sings lyrics that even sound like Tears. I don't think it's true.

Question: At the beginning at the movie, there is a scene with Val Kilmer using a red/pink t-shirt and it is very visible a swelling in the elbow of his left arm. Can anyone tell me what is that?

Answer: It's an injury he picked up while working on "The Doors". One scene required him to dive off a stage, and the director had him repeat this many times. During one take, he landed quite heavily on his left elbow, which caused a permanent swelling.

It's actually Olecranon Bursitis.

Question: In Highlander The Sorcerer, Conner had adopted a son. Anyone know what happened to him as in Endgame, Conner gets killed?

Answer: It's hard to say. Since the series totally ignores "Highlander 2" some assume that they also ignored "Highlander 3." But if you don't like that idea, you can probably assume he's off at college with his own life, or maybe even been killed by Jacob Kell.

Question: What exactly is a Witch King - where did it come from and why is it there?

Answer: The Witch-King is a name given to the Lord of the Nazgul, leader of the kings corrupted by the Nine Rings. The title "Witch-King of Angmar" refers to a time in the middle of the Third Age, around 1500 years before the War of the Ring, when he founded the northern kingdom of Angmar to oppose the kingdoms of the north, which were populated by Aragorn's ancestors. The specific title "Witch-King" alludes to the fact that the Nazgul leader was a powerful sorceror - whether he was before he fell to darkness, or whether he learned his skills from Sauron is unclear. What his mortal name was is unknown.

Question: Where can i find a website showing the map of Middle Earth, and preferably one that shows the path of all the fellowship thoughout the movies?

Answer: The most popular and complete site I've seen is theonering.net. It contains detailed information about the books and films, and includes extensive material on Middle Earth. It also happens to be Peter Jackson's favorite fansite for the films.

Question: Exactly how did Van Helsing and Carl get out of Draculas' Castle? When Carl tried to back out shortly after arriving he just bounced off the wall, so how did they get out later?

Answer: The spell's objective was to keep Dracula prisoner; once he is dead, the spell is broken, so everyone could have left the way they came in.

Question: In the beginning of the movie when we see Frank Morris(Eastwood) getting out of the car and onto the boat, why wasn't he cuffed? The guards later cuff him when he is on the boat and would be difficult for him to escape.

Answer: I believe the director is trying to lure us into thinking that Eastwood is a good guy as he usually plays the hero. However that myth is shattered when he is cuffed.

Question: When mama said she dreamt of fish last night, her daughter said that it meant either someone was coming or someone was pregnant. Then Faith showed up at the front door. So wasn't Faith really the fish in Mama's dream and not Bird?

Answer: Yes, but it could have easily been both.

Question: What's the deal with Phantom's magical lasso? One of the actors talks about it. What is this magical lasso, and did Phantom ever use it?

Answer: It's what he uses to kill Buquet, and what he tried to strangle Raoul with at the end. It's not really magical though - that's just Buquet over exaggerating for the sake of his story.

Question: The number 1138 gets referenced in many later Lucas-related projects. What, if any, is the original significance of the number?

Answer: It's been widely suggested that Lucas based the title on his telephone number at the time. The first three digits corresponded to T,H and X on the keypad - the last four were 1138.

Question: Just two things I was curious about whilst watching. Does anyone know how they trained the boy who plays Little Jack to do the hand signals and cry on cue etc.? I imagine it would be quite difficult to teach a toddler all of that. Also, how did they get a boy who looks so much like Ben Stiller for the part of Jorge? Is he related in any way or is it just luck that they found a boy like that?

Answer: Little Jack is played by twins so both twins did not necessarily have to learn all of the "tricks". Ray Santiago is not related to Ben Stiller and there are quite a lot of make-up effects applied to his face especially around the nose, ears and eyebrows.

Answer: The boy was already taught to sign by his parents before he was discovered.

Question: On Scene 20 of the DVD, if you immediately pause it (just before the camera starts to pan up the outside of the hotel), you can see a shadow in the first window that looks like it's E.T. I can't find anywhere else online where this is mentioned. Is this my imagination? Or might this have been done intentionally?

Answer: I have looked at this about a dozen times, and I think it's just a shadow that resembles E.T. I can't imagine why it would have been done intentionally.

Question: In "The Killer Cut" DVD, there is an interactive menu with REALITY, DREAM, and NIGHTMARE on it. Each can be clicked to go to the main menu, but what is the difference among the three?

Answer: There is no difference it's just for show. I've clicked on all three and it takes you to the same place.

Question: Soundwave has two non-animal cassette robots, Rumble and Frenzy, but I'm getting confused on who is who, because in the guide to Transformers, the red and black one is said to be Rumble, but in the episode 'Desertion of the Dinobots part 1', Megatron calls the purple one Rumble, (and if you are wondering, I only have the season two part one DVD, so I don't know much about the T.V series), Can someone please tell me which is which?

Answer: The guide to Transformers (which I believe is known as Transformers: The Ultimate Guide) is based on the comics in terms of character profiles for the most part. In the Transformer comics, Rumble was red and black and had Piledriver arms, whilst Frenzy was purple and could use sonic screams. However, in the cartoon the character colours were reversed for no known reason (so Rumble is now purple and Frenzy is red and black) and both used pile driver arms.
