Question: Does anyone know who appeared in later seasons as the Outer Limits "Intro Girl"? This question has circulated on the Internet for the last 20 years with no definitive answer. There is unsubstantiated speculation that the Intro Girl was either Diane Venora, Sofia Shinas, or even Paz de la Huerto; however, none of these actresses look anything remotely like the Intro Girl.

Charles Austin Miller

Answer: The blonde girl with bangs in the intro does not appear to be a Jerry Uelsmann model, whose still photographs were used to set the theme of the intro. Although the "Intro Girl" clips are in the Uelsmann style, they are video motion clips. The end credits identify a video production company responsible for creating the introduction, but they seem to be out of business. My best guess is that she is a local model hired by that company to shoot the intro.

Question: When we go through the scenes of Bruce preparing to come back as Batman and face Bane, we see a nifty little device that helps with Bruce's knee and allows him to demolish rocks with a kick. My question is, why is this device all but forgotten about in the fights against Bane? It's one thing to ignore pain through use of constant painkiller exposure it is entirely another to physically move if the force of such a kick breaks a limb.

Answer: The device is just a high tech leg brace, it merely allows Bruce the ability to use his leg somewhat normally. It does not give Bruce super kicking strength. He does not demolish rocks with his kick, he kicks a brick or two off an old brick structure in the batcave. An impressive display of strength to be sure but hardly superhuman. He would be no more likely to break Bane's bones than he would be without the device.

Question: After Jack's meeting with Beckett on board the Endeavour, they have a deal where Jack has to lead Beckett to the Pirates. Then why does Jack fire a canon on the main mast, making them incapable of pursuit? Later, however, he lets Will escape the brig, gives him the compass and lets him go to Beckett. The two actions seem inconsistent.

uk_07

Chosen answer: It's a little complicated. Jack would never betray the other pirates. He made the deal with Beckett in order to escape and then shot down the ship's main mast to slow Beckett's pursuit (the mast could be repaired fairly quickly) while putting his plan into action. Jack wanted the pirate lords to fight Beckett, so he let Will escape so that he would lead Beckett's fleet to Shipwreck Cove. (Will's motive was to save his father and Elizabeth.) Jack knew the pirate lords would not fight Beckett and were untouchable once they were ensconced inside their floating fortress. Jack voted for Elizabeth Swan to become pirate king because he knew she would declare war on Beckett, forcing the pirate lords into the battle.

Question: Since they are all friends why did Julie get mad at Courtney when it was just a accident that she swallowed the jawbreaker? Then when Courtney came out with a plan to keep everyone from going to jail Julie stabbed her in the back.

April Rose

Answer: Because Courtney killed her she intended for her to suffocate because she wanted to be queen.

Question: How did Quentin find others in the last scene? he was left unconscious and he had no way to figure out where others went after that (considering his lack of knowledge in mathematics) so how could he possibly make his way to the bridge room?

Answer: It's established that sound travels throughout the structure reasonably well. Also, they didn't travel relatively far, even with the rooms shifting.

Actually, considering the distance that they travelled and the injuries he sustained, Quentin would have had extreme difficulty catching up. It looks like the 3 travelled upwards at least 12 cubes, meaning Quentin would have had to climb up each one with the chance that any of the rooms could be trapped fast enough to catch up to them with enough strength left over to kill Leaven.

Adrenaline is an extremely driving force, so I'd still consider it entirely possible it happened that way.

Question: Where did that hydra boss go? I didn't see him on the helicopter.

Answer: Ant-Man punched him, knocking him unconscious, when they were in the vault, so he was presumably killed when the Pym Technologies building exploded.

Question: I have never understood why Luke and Leia needed to be hidden with two different families. As a princess, Leia is actually in the public eye. It would have been much safer to let Owen and Beru raise her along with Luke. Why keep them apart?

Answer: The reason they are split is so if one is discovered they still have the other. Leia certainly lives a much more public life but she could easily be passed off as the daughter of Bail Organa since she takes his last name and lives as his daughter. The real question is why on earth would Obi Wan give Luke to family that Vader is aware of and let him keep the Skywalker name?

BaconIsMyBFF

Adding to this, Tatooine wouldn't be somewhere where Vader would want to go. He doesn't have fond memories there e.g. death of his mother, slaying all those Tuscan raiders.

Also, if I remember correctly, no-one knew she was having twins. Everyone knew she was pregnant, so when Luke showed up it wasn't necessarily questioned. Leia was given to another family so no-one would put it together that she was also Vader's child and therefore hiding her from existence.

scaryterri

Answer: Nobody knew Luke and Leia were alive, most did not know they existed, others thought they were dead. If someone with the name of Skywalker were around, it could be anyone. Aunt Uncle, Cousin, not necessarily the Skywalker. Besides, the Empire was busy fighting and maintaining control of an entire Galaxy.

It certainly could be a popular name, but it is still tempting fate since this particular Skywalker is being raised by Anakin's step-brother. A step-brother that Anakin is not only aware of but has personally met. Also, once Vader finds out that the pilot who blew up the Death Star was named Skywalker, he knows that young man must be his son.

Answer: Obi-Wan said they needed to be taken somewhere where the Sith could not sense their presence and then Yoda said they needed to be separated, which one could assume was to increase the chance the Sith won't sense them. They also made it seem like Padme was still pregnant when she died, meaning everyone would think her child (ren) died before being born. Leia being in the public eye wasn't really a factor or concern. Bail and his wife had always talked about adopting a girl, so when they took Leia, no-one would question where she came from, especially if the Organas appeared loyal to the Emperor. In "There is Another" (from "From a Certain Point of View", considered canon), it's suggested Yoda's plan was to train Leia and not Luke. So sending Luke to live with his family would hopefully limit his development of the force, limit his involvement with the Empire, and if discovered, draw attention away from Leia.

Question: After Bucky explained about all the other Winter Soldiers, Sam says 'This would have been a lot easier a week ago' but what difference would it have made if it was a week ago?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: Because the U.N. has been preparing to pass the Sokovia Accords and they want to oversee the Avengers. A week earlier, the Avengers would not have had to seek permission to find the other Winter Soldiers (or wait while the oversight committee makes a decision). As a result of the U.N. Sanctions, Captain America and Sam Wilson have to go rogue in order to find the other soldiers. (Their actions of going rogue result in Iron Man and his team in hunting the rogue Avengers down, creating a "civil war").

Question: Why did Arthur tell Aurora that Jim woke her up even though he promised to keep it a secret?

Answer: Being that Arthur is an android, he takes everything that is said literally and without analyzing it. Once Jim and Aurora began their romantic relationship, Aurora casually mentioned to Arthur that she and Jim have "no secrets" from one another, which Jim, without realizing the context or the consequences, confirmed. Arthur then interpreted it to mean that Aurora knew Jim had intentionally awakened her from the sleeping pod.

raywest

Answer: Because the ship had been malfunctioning due to collision with the asteroid it had effected Arthur as he is part of the vessel. This shows something is wrong with the ship as previously indicated, Arthur's sudden change of behaviour being integral to what is going on.

Question: While Junior initially hesitates to fire Tulip as Hunter orders him to, he does not tell her he was supposed to fire her until after Jasper saves them from the wolves. Why doesn't Junior tell Tulip she's fired earlier when he is upset with her for crashing the plane?

Johman

Chosen answer: He simply does not have the nerve. Even when he is angry with her, he knows telling her she's fired would be incredibly hurtful for Tulip.

Question: Right after the fruit whack one of the customers like a piñata, you hear the grocery items saying something while fighting the humans. What are they saying?

Question: The clerk Darren voiced by Paul Rudd asks somebody "why he keeps calling him that" while he takes cover in the climax. What does he mean?

Answer: He hears the food calling him the "dark lord."

Question: When Bond is getting ready to go down the ski jump, he starts getting chewed out by the guy at the top. What is the guy saying to him? I've always assumed that he is demanding to know why Bond has only one ski pole...but that's just a vague guess.

Gavin Jackson

Answer: He's complaining that Bond didn't wait his turn for the ski run. He cut in front of everyone.

Chosen answer: I always thought that the guy in charge of the jump was saying that Bond didn't have the correct skis to do the jump or something. As I saw it Bond's skis were generic ones for cross country and / or regular skiers and to do the jump Bond needed, and didn't have, special, specific skis designed for jumping.

Alan Keddie

I'm more inclined to agree with you. It didn't appear like Bond had queue jumped. And I doubt the guy at the top would have known (or even cared). The guy did seem to be looking at Bond's attire, so I have to agree that he was chewing him out on that.

Question: In the trial at the start of the movie, we see a flashback of Andy walking with his gun. Where exactly was he? Was that a real flashback, or just what the prosecutor was assuming happened? Did Andy actually almost kill his wife but decide against it?

MikeH

Chosen answer: Andy showed up at his wife's lover's house, either to kill them or just threaten them. He had a change of heart and left. Unfortunately, his fingerprints were all over the bullets and liquor bottle he left at the scene, which was pretty damning.

Brian Katcher

Question: What is the name of the song that is played when Lovejoy discovers that Jack and Rose are together in the bedroom, and they both escape through the elevator?

Answer: Funnily enough, this movie's soundtrack has been released on two separate albums, and neither one contains that part. It's also heard when Jack and Fabrizio are running across the dock in Southampton.

Friso94

Answer: On YouTube you can find it like "the Chase" but it's a version quiet diferent than the film. Also is very good.

Answer: Rakish Paddy.

Question: Why did Clooney say to his so called boss in the beginning that his Swedish girlfriend that he shot dead had nothing to do with it?

Answer: Because she didn't, but once she saw evidence of who/what he was, he had to kill her to protect his identity.

Answer: Venice Fung (HK).

Answer: Nobody in particular. Just a random woman he slept with.

Question: I am trying to identify the music (string quartet) playing during the hypnosis scene? Thanks.

Chosen answer: Most probably due to mass corruption within the prison. Guards on the mafia payroll would let them wear their own clothes in the same way they didn't eat the prison food but got to have their own superior food brought in.
