Question: After Paulie is shot, Clemenza says, "Leave the gun, take the cannoli." Do the two men then walk home, catch a cab, take a bus?

stella01

Chosen answer: No, and this is explained in the book. Everything was pre-arranged, and the entire trip was a ruse solely to execute Paulie for him helping set up the hit on Don Corleone. Clemenza had Paulie drive them in Paulie's car on the pretense of looking for apartments to house Corleone "soldiers" in the event of a gang war. He directed him to drive and then stop at that specific isolated location (supposedly to relieve himself) where Rocco then shot him. Another car is waiting nearby to pick up Clemenza and Rocco.

Question: This question is sort of across the whole trilogy: If the elves are immortal (or, as I think someone pointed out, they just age very very slowly) but they still have children, (various elf family trees confirm this), how is it that Middle Earth isn't overrun by them?

Answer: Elves aren't prone to churning out the kids - they breed very infrequently. Elrond, who's been around for six thousand years, has only had three children in that time period. Galadriel and Celeborn, whose marriage dates back even further than that, have only had one (Celebrian, Elrond's wife). While elf lifespans are sufficiently long that they can be considered effectively immortal, they do die in accidents or wars. Plus others (including the aforementioned Celebrian) have gone into the West. Put all that together, and it does a good job of keeping the elven population of Middle-Earth down to reasonable levels.

Tailkinker

Chosen answer: I think the only clue they give is that he is half Scottish!

Anastasios Anastasatos

In The Rumour Chandler says everybody at my school heard it: "you're the cheerleader from Long Island?" So he couldn't have lived top far away.

Question: If Alice can see the future, why did she not protect Bella from Jasper's attack before it happened at Bella's birthday party?

sunfox35

Chosen answer: The way I understand it, Alice's power only works once someone makes a conscious decision to act. Since Bella's paper cut was unanticipated, Jasper's attack was impulsive, not premeditated.

Cubs Fan

Answer: She wanted to be with the couple, she did not think of the repercussions.

Phixius

She was incredibly depressed. She wasn't happy anywhere and she didn't fit in with her own family or anything they were trying to do. She was a goth girl. The realm of the dead and the macabre seemed more a place for her. When one sees the "Netherworld," it kind of seems like a more interesting place. But... upon closer inspection, it's not really all that different from our world.

Answer: She wanted to be with her mom who had passed sway.

It's never stated that her mom had died. There could be a possibility that Charles and her mom got divorced. The first two answers are more likely.

I've heard the interpretation that Delia really is Lydia's biological mother, but they are very different and don't get along, so Lydia pretends that Delia is a stepmother.

Question: Does Missingno, the infamous "Pokemon 000" glitch from Pokemon Red/Green (Red/Blue in the states) appear in this movie?

Question: Why does no one ever sit on the window bench, behind the desk? It seems to be there for no apparent reason, the only person I've ever seen sitting on it was Rachel. Why does no one ever sit on it?

Eclipse

Chosen answer: Unless there is a specific plot reason for someone to sit here, such as when Rachel was moping after her first break-up with Ross (after he made "the list"), it does not serve the overall story well. A character would be sitting far away from where the central action takes place, making it more difficult for them to interact with what is going on. Rachel again sits on it when she, Phoebe, and Chandler were looking for where Monica hid the Christmas presents. Rachel discovers them inside the window seat. Also, a window bench is not that comfortable to sit on, and the other furniture is far more inviting.

Question: Near the end of the movie, when the characters are seen reacting to Donnie's death, what is Kitty Farmer's hand resting on?

Answer: Her bed.

Question: Can someone give me Kick-Ass's speech to the three muggers at the diner, word for word?

Answer: Guy: "You'd rather die for some piece of shit that you don't even fucking know? Kick-Ass: "And three assholes, laying into one guy while everybody else watches, and you want to know what's wrong with me?! Yeah, I'd rather die, so bring it on!"

Question: Every time I've watched The Half Blood Prince I've found myself asking whether or not, at some point during shooting, Daniel Radcliffe actually broke his nose in reality. I'm not sure if it's because of the way the scene is lit, but during several moments within the movie, particularly at the end during his scene with Professor McGonagal, his nose looks swollen. Was any news about an actual broken nose ever reported during the filming?

Answer: At the beginning of the film, when they are travelling to Hogwarts, Harry hides under his invisibility cloak to spy on Draco. Draco finds out and knocks Harry to the floor where he cannot move. Draco then kicks Harry in the face, breaking his nose. Luna fixes his nose with a spell, but says she onle practiced on toes before. Maybe what you are seeing is the spell not being done properly and it wearing off through the movie. There were no reports of him actually breaking his nose.

Question: Where are all the other staff members for Jurassic Park? I can understand most of them left on the boat before disaster struck, however the events also continue throughout the morning/afternoon. It's completely light, the weather is fine so the returning boat shouldn't have had a problem returning to the island. Also much of the final scenes of the film happen in or near the visitors centre. So surely there will be staff returning to the island that could have helped or even been involved with some of the escaped dinosaurs having arrived on the island in the morning.Yet we see no other Jurassic Park staff until the helicopter arrives. Surely we should have been able to see the rest of the staff returning to the park in the morning to continue their day's work.

dancutd

Chosen answer: The inference I got was that people were sent away on the boat and told to stay away until the problems in the Park were resolved.

Question: When the scene with the song "Why So Silent" takes place, how long has it been since anyone last saw/heard from the Phantom?

Answer: Actually it says three months, I'm watching it right now.

Answer: It is actually six months. Masquerade is shown as "6 months later, " and the lyrics, if you look at them, say "six months of relief, of delight..."

In the movie, it's three months. In the Broadway production, it's six months.

Answer: As said in Masquerade, "Three months of relief, of delight, of Elysian peace."

You Wish ('Shanghaied') / Gary Takes A Bath - S2-E11

Question: On "Shanghaied", I have seen this episode on TV with three different endings. The first one is the common one, where Spongebob wishes the Dutchman was a vegetarian. The second one is shown less, where Patrick gets the third wish. (He wishes for gum). The third, and least common, ending I have seen, Squidward gets the final wish (he wishes he never met Spongebob and Patrick, and then Spongebob says, "I don't believe we've ever met.") Is there a DVD where I can find the alternate endings?

Answer: Well, I've never heard about those other endings before, but I'm pretty sure the only DVD you can find the episode on (correct me if I'm wrong) is the Season Two boxset. I have seen the episode on this DVD before, and it only has the the common ending which you described. So I would say no.

MooCow

Yes, it is available on the Sea Stories DVD with all three endings. That can be purchased online.

Question: At the end of the episode with the Hash-Slinging Slasher, what do Spongebob, Squidward, and the Hash Slinging Slasher say to the vampire that was turning the lights on and off?

Answer: They say Nosferatu. That's the name of the vampire that was turning the lights off. He appeared in the 1922 movie of the same name.

Answer: It's never explained. Historically, little is known about George and Jane BoleynÂ’s marriage, though it is believed it was not particularly happy. At that time upper-class marriages were usually arranged by families to provide their offspring with the most advantageous situation - socially, politically, financially, and so on. It mattered little if the two parties were in love, though it was assumed the couple would eventually learn to care about each other. A woman, who was considered her husbandÂ’s property, was expected to be a dutiful and faithful wife to her spouse, whose responsibility it was to provide for his family. George and Jane may simply have been incompatible, and as divorce was unacceptable then, they may simply have had to tolerate each other. Also, some historians have theorized that George Boleyn may have been either bi-sexual or homosexual, but there is no documented proof whatsoever that George was either. There is some evidence he may have been a womanizer, though having a mistress was hardly uncommon for someone in his station. Whatever their relationship, JaneÂ’s testimony against her husband at his trial helped condemn him to death.

Question: I would like to know from a real Navy pilot if the scene is correct where Maverick's F-14 is right on Iceman's tail and he tells him to fly hard right to get out of his way. This leaves jet wash in his flight path and the jet goes down. Wouldn't a real pilot be trained to avoid this kind of danger from happening with the jet wash?

jcmann01

Answer: The original F-14A used the TF30 engine which was prone to compressor stall. This problem was fixed in later aircraft. https://theaviationist.com/2014/12/12/f-14b-engine-goose/.

Chosen answer: Probably not a lot of Navy fighter jocks on this site. Of course he'd be trained to avoid it, but Maverick is hyper-aggressive and is following Iceman way too closely. Had he been farther back he'd have avoided it.
