Question: There seemed to be an unusually high number of guards as compared to the number of prisoners; would they actually be armed with pistols?

Answer: Since this movie takes place in the '30s, I think the number of guards is about right. There were no such things as stun guns back then. If a prisoner freaked out, they would need a few men to overpower him, just like we see when 'Wild Bill' is brought in. Prison guards today don't carry guns because they could be used against the guard. In the '30s no such rules existed. If you were a cop or a guard, you had a gun no matter what.

Question: I know this movie was based on a Broadway play. Does anyone know how it is revealed in the play what Alice's real name is, and also how Dan realizes that "Alice Ayers" was a fake name? Both of these facts are revealed in the movie without dialogue, so I was wondering what the play was like.

Answer: The play ends quite differently from the film. Larry and Anna meet in the park with the plaques - they are no longer together, they are each dating someone new. Larry points out the "Alice Ayers" plaque to Anna, who reads it out loud. Larry notes how she made up everything about herself. Anna says she is meeting Dan there, he asked to see her. When Dan arrives, with a suitcase, Larry leaves. Dan says the police in New York called to tell him "Jane Jones" had died, and he learns that was Alice's real name. He is on his way to New York. The End.

Question: One of the Easter Egg entries says an egg is on every DVD and can be accessed by entering '35' when the alien writing appears on the screen. I have tried this, but it doesn't work. Can someone please go into a little more detail for me or explain why it might not work? The other easter eggs can be accessed fine.

Answer: I did some research around the net and it seems this only works with region 2 DVDs.

Question: I wonder whether Kraven and Lucian are actually the two (out of three) Sons of the Corvinus clan. Before Lucian died after being shot by Kraven, he called him 'cousin'. I would also be grateful if anyone would explain what Viktor meant by Marcus being a descendent of Corvinus (Does it mean that Marcus turned one of the sons of the Corvinus clan into a vampire or he is related to that guy who survived the plague? I'm confused).

Answer: Alexander Corvinus was the first true Immortal, he had three sons, William bitten by wolf, Marcus by bat and the unnamed third who remained human. Michael Corvin is the last true human descendant of Corvinus in the present world. The cousin reference is that all vampires and lycans are related through the bloodlines after being turned. This is why Michael survives a bite from both species. Normally the viruses they carry are deadly to humans and no one has survived a bite from both species, except Michael who becomes a hybrid, half vampire, half Lycan, but stronger than both.

Question: When Deloris asks the class where their music books are, and they point to the ceiling, what is on the ceiling, and why do they point to the ceiling in the first place?

Answer: Because they have torn all the pages out and used them as spit balls and stuck them to the ceiling.

shortdanzr

Answer: The students point to the ceiling because the books are ripped up on the ceiling because the kids did not need to learn anything to the class and that is the reason they ripped them up.

Question: When Keira Knightley finds out that Andrew Lincoln loves her on the video, he gets really awkward and says something along the lines of 'I've got to go somewhere for lunch.' Then he pauses and says, 'It's a self-preservation thing' and walks out. When he says that does he mean the eating (ie his lunch) or the video (so he at least can look at her sometimes even if he can't have her)?

Answer: He refers to the fact that he is usually not very nice to her and pretends not to like her. That makes it easier for him not to show his love, which is important because otherwise he would spoil the friendship with her husband.

nightline

Her question is more about the disparity between his behavior towards her and this video which shows he's felt very differently from how he's acted. The video of her (close ups of just her) was meant only for him.

Question: What happens to the Adam Sandler and Tea Leoni characters? Were there any cut scenes that explained it, or something? Does the marriage fall apart?

Answer: There were no explanations offered. I think the movie was far better in leaving that question, and whether or not he married Flor, unanswered. The focus was on the child and her respect for her mother - not the other relationship.

Question: In the Return of the King movie, after Arwen has a vision of her unborn son, she rides back to Rivendell to ask her father whether he saw a son in her future. He explains that he saw death. She argues that that is not a certainty and then asks him to reforge Narsil (Isildur's Sword) for Aragorn. She then sits down and drops the book she was holding. What book was she holding and what is its significance?

Answer: The book contained the exact information about the legend that she was pointing out to Elrond. When he balked, she sat dejectedly and let the book fall from weakened fingers.

scwilliam

Question: What is the song playing right after the scene where Elle is dressed as a playboy bunny?

Answer: The song is called "Watch Me Shine" by Joanna Pacitti.

Question: At the beginning of the movie, when the men are boarding the ship, a line of sailors are marching single file, nodding their heads up and down and chanting "Ahh-ah, ah-ooh" repeatedly. What are they doing this for?

Answer: It's a marching chant, sort of like an ancient version of the marching music we have now.

Blibbetyblip

Answer: http://www.cagebypage.com/abouthismovies/factsstats/gone_in_60_seconds_facts.html - the power of google.

Cheryl Gibson

Question: Is the naked student who claims to be just a lust object for nerds a reference to a movie, and if so, which one?

Answer: It is from "American Pie". She is a parody of Shannon Elizabeth's character Nadia, who was a foreign exchange student and appeared naked in the film.

Question: Is there a reason why people on the Simpsons TV always say "You may remember me from such films as..."?

Answer: I have only seen one person ever say this and that is Troy McClure. Prior to the retirement of this character (when his voice, Phil Hartman, was killed), McClure was a prolific actor who appeared in movies, commercials, infomercials, public service announcements, etc. If you notice, whenever he says this, it was to reference to a similar commercial, PSA, etc. he had done before. It came to be his signature line, like C. M. Burns' evil "Excellent," Dr. Hibbert's inappropriate laugh, or Dr. Nick Riviera's "Hi, everybody."

Guy

Answer: There is no Child's Play reference in this movie, the closest one was the living clown doll, which is a spoof of "Poltergeist"

Question: I had always thought Balthazar was the son of the Devil, is this not the case?

Answer: Balthazar was one of the kings, or magi as it is called, that visited Christ when he was born and gave him a gift. He is (obviously) not the son of the Devil/Hades/Satan or however you'd want to call him.

Question: What does 'carina' mean? Paulo says it a lot, like when Lizzie and Paulo are on the motorbike (just before seeing the class bus), Paulo says 'Si, carina.'

Answer: Carina means "pretty" or "pretty one".

Question: At the Academy Awards, LOTR won for Best Visual Effects for each of the 3 films. One of these recipients was Joe Letteri. Can someone please tell me what is he credited for? (e.g. Jim Rygiel was visual effects supervisor).

Answer: Joe Letteri is also credited for visual effects supervisor.

Question: Why can't Paige heal people? I've only ever seen her heal about one person. Is there any particular reason for this?

Answer: Chris explains in the episode "Valhalley of the Dolls" that healing is extremely difficult, and can only be done by accomplished Whitelighters. Paige has only had her powers for a few years and is only half-Whitelighter, so at first, she can only heal people when Leo helps her. In Season 8, when she realizes she loves Henry, she unlocks the trigger to Healing (as explained by Leo at the end of season 1), and is able to heal others like a regular Whitelighter from then on.

Question: When Miguel is watching Tulio and the girl talking, he walks off looking annoyed. I didn't quite hear what Tulio was saying to the girl so I don't understand why Miguel was so upset. Can anyone help?

Answer: Miguel had just told Chief Tanni how loyal Tulio and he were to each other. Then he overheard Tulio saying to Chel that he wanted to go to Spain with her, ONLY with her "Forget Miguel." That's why Miguel was so upset, because Tulio excluded him from his plans and his life.
