Super Mario Bros. (1993)

Trivia: Directors Rocky Morton and Annabel Jankel were reportedly widely despised by the cast and crew, who found them arrogant, difficult and unpleasant. Morton reportedly once even poured scalding hot coffee on an extra, burning them, because he wanted their costume to look dirtier. It came to a head one day when co-star Dennis Hopper had enough of their attitude and spent over three hours screaming at Morton and Jankel, berating them over and over and refusing to shoot his scene.

Super Mario Bros. (1993)

Trivia: Stars Bob Hoskins, John Leguizamo and Dennis Hopper were reportedly all furious while making the movie, as the script was constantly being changed (to the point it bore no resemblance to the one they signed up for) and the two directors were reportedly extremely difficult to work with. Hoskins and Leguizamo reportedly combated their fury by often getting very, very drunk during filming.

Super Mario Bros. (1993)

Trivia: Barry Morrow, the writer of "Rain Man," wrote a draft for the film that went unused. It was noted that his draft strayed very far from the source material, and was reportedly a low-key drama about the relationship between the two brothers that was described as being very much like his script for "Rain Man." When producers asked him to write a more adventurous script like the video-games, he refused, and was booted from the project.

Jack's Back (1988)

Trivia: The film's original title was "Red Rain" and the Peter Gabriel song of the same name was meant to be featured in the film. However, they couldn't get the rights to feature the song, so the song "Red Harvest" was commissioned and written specifically for the film. Shortly before the film's release, the studio decided that the title "Red Rain" no longer made any sense without the Gabriel song in the movie, and instead retitled the film "Jack's Back."

Midsommar (2019)

Trivia: Jack Reynor himself suggested that he run away nude after the sex scene. He was originally scripted to have grabbed a robe. Reynor felt this would make him look more pathetic and vulnerable. He also reportedly was influenced by seeing numerous women in horror movies run around naked, be sexually assaulted, etc. He felt it only made sense that male characters should also be forced into similar compromising and undignified situations.

Trivia: The flower dress Dani wears at the end of the film took weeks to build, and included over 10,000 artificial flowers. The crew wanted to use real flowers, but it would have been impossible to keep them all alive. It was reportedly incredibly heavy and unwieldy, and actress Florence Pugh could barely move in it.

Midsommar trivia picture

Trivia: Near the end of the film, as Dani is lifted and being carried to the dinner table, if you look closely, you can see the ghostly image of her deceased sister's face (with the exhaust hose in her mouth) in the background. It's been superimposed over the trees in the distance. It's very subtle and easy to miss, but if you know where to look, it's there.
