The Greatest Showman (2017)
Trivia: Making a film based on P.T. Barnum had been a passion project for star Hugh Jackman for some years before it was finally made. Reportedly, what kept the film from being made sooner was the fact that most major studios were apprehensive about producing an original musical not based on a pre-existing film or stageplay.

Deep Rising (1998)
Trivia: Spoilers. Originally, the character Pantucci was indeed meant to die in the film. However, test audiences liked the character so much and were so disappointed when he was killed off, that his death scene was dropped and the ending was slightly re-shot to show him surviving in the final theatrical cut of the film.

Deep Rising (1998)
Trivia: The original script was titled "Tentacle." It was written in the mid-90's by Stephen Sommers, with some uncredited re-writes by "Karate Kid" writer Robert Mark Kamen. The ambiguous ending was meant to serve as a lead-in to a sequel, with rumors that it would have been either a loose adaptation of "Journey to the Center of the Earth" or a "King Kong" remake, given the Island resembles "Skull Island."

Deep Rising (1998)
Trivia: Howard Atherton, the director of photography, had a lot of issues working on the film. When director Stephen Sommers asked him why he was having trouble, Atherton explained that he usually worked with directors who he didn't get along with, and their mutual animosity made him try extra hard to compensate. Atherton actually really, really liked working with the friendly, easy-going Sommers, which was a pleasant change of pace for him - but he also felt like he wasn't being challenged as he usually was.

Deep Rising (1998)
Trivia: Footage of the party scene from the ship has since been re-used as stock footage in a number of low-budget films. Director Stephen Sommers has stated that he's not sure exactly how that works legally, but that he suspects the footage was licensed out by the studio in order to help recoup the budget, as "Deep Rising" didn't do well on initial release.

Home Alone 3 (1997)
Trivia: The film was conceived with Macaulay Culkin in mind to reprise his role as Kevin. Culkin refused, however, thinking that a third adventure with the character would be too unbelievable, and also feeling a bit burnt out with the role. Thus, the film was rewritten to focus on a new lead.

Home Alone 3 (1997)
Trivia: At one point in time, the movie was going to be made for television and serve as a backdoor pilot for a potential "Home Alone" TV series. But this idea was dropped for a traditional theatrical film. The following movie, "Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House," was written to be a stand-alone movie but was retooled to serve as a backdoor pilot for a potential TV series. (Which of course never happened).

A Quiet Place (2018)
Trivia: At one point early in production, the film was going to be slightly retooled in order to make it the third entry in the "Cloverfield" franchise, following "Cloverfield" and "10 Cloverfield Lane." Eventually, this idea was dropped, and the movie was left as a stand-alone film.

Halloween (2018)
Trivia: Spoilers. Several moments in the climax directly mirror events from the original film, though with reversed roles. For example, in the original Michael falls off a balcony and then disappears when Loomis goes to check. In this film, it is Laurie Strode who falls off a balcony and then disappears. Another example being that in the original, Michael appears from the shadows behind Laurie in a doorway, whereas again in this film, Laurie appears behind Michael from the shadows in the same manner.

Halloween (2018)
Trivia: Spoilers: The film's original ending was quite different. Originally, rather than Michael being burned in the basement, he would instead get into a knife-fight with Laurie outside of the house. After a brief tussle with Laurie, he would then be shot through the chest with a crossbow-like weapon by Karen. The film would end with Michael sitting down, bleeding profusely from his wounds and breathing in slow, heavy manner (implying he's dying) while Laurie, her daughter and her grandaughter drive away into the night. This ending was disliked by test-audiences, and thus the film's theatrical ending was shot to give it a more action-packed finale.

Life is Strange
Trivia: Chloe wears a necklace that's made of three bullets throughout the game. This is commonly viewed as either representing the three people who "abandoned" her and thus hurt her (her father, Max and Rachel Amber), or representing three times Chloe is murdered during the game - When she is shot by Nathan at the start, when she is shot by Jefferson in chapter four, and when Max can chose to sacrifice her to save the town in Chapter Five.
