Scream (2022)

Trivia: If you look closely, you can see a box containing Tatum Riley's ashes on a shelf in Dewey's home. Tatum was of course Dewey's sister who was killed in the original movie.

Scream (2022)

Trivia: The song "Red Right Hand" briefly plays during one of the murder scenes. The song has been featured in every other "Scream" movie except "Scream 4." (They wanted to include the song in the fourth film, but there was a copyright dispute behind the scenes and it could not be included).

Scream (2022)

Trivia: Sidney makes a brief passing reference to having a husband named "Mark." After hearing much fan speculation, the directors confirmed that her husband is indeed Mark Kincaid from "Scream 3," who was played by Patrick Dempsey.

Trivia: The demon effects were done by Carlo Rambaldi, who is arguably most famous for creating the design of the benevolent titular character from Steven Spielberg's "E.T."

13 Ghosts (1960)

Trivia: The exterior of the house was actually shot at the Winchester Mansion. (Albeit not at the main entrance.) The Winchester Mansion was owned and built by Sarah Winchester, who was convinced that she was being haunted by the ghosts of those that were killed by the Winchester rifles her family had created. Throughout her life, she had more and more construction done on the house, often creating stairways and doors leading to nowhere, to try to "trick" the ghosts and keep them from getting her.

Trivia: The machine is called "Sissy," which is short for "Sisyphus." In Greek mythology, Sisyphus was cursed to push a boulder uphill for eternity - every time he'd reach the top, it would roll back down and he'd have to start again. The use of the name "Sisyphus/Sissy" is a reference to the fact that Tree has to relive the same day over and over again, much like Sisyphus must push the rock up the hill over and over again.

TedStixon

Trivia: The costume designer threw in Easter-Eggs that most people never notice. When Tree wakes up in the other dimension, she's wearing the same clothes from the first movie, including a concert-tee. However, if you compare the shirts from the two movies, while the picture is the same, the words are slightly different. (Ex. A different venue is listed on the shirt.) This is to provide a subtle hint Tree is in another dimension. There are similar tiny changes in the other character's clothing, too.

TedStixon

Trivia: Just a funny bit of censorship to look for. In the film, Tree wears a shirt that says "FML" in one scene. For those who don't know, this is an abbreviation for the phrase "F**k my life," which is a phrase commonly used to express frustration when something bad happens. But because of its profane connotations, the shirt was digitally altered in trailers to instead say "OMG," which means the much less naughty "Oh my god."

Valentine (2001)

Trivia: There was a deleted scene explaining that the grown-up boys from the prologue (who beat up Jeremy at the dance) were found dead shortly before the events of the film, implying that they were also murdered, but it was cut for whatever reason. Ironically, this would have solved one of the major complaints audiences had with the film, which is that Jeremy is going after the girls who rejected him instead of the boys who bullied him - he was actually meant to be going after ALL of them.

Valentine (2001)

Trivia: As of 2022, this is the only widely-released theatrical film to feature David Boreanaz in a starring role. His only other starring film roles have been in TV-movies, limited releases and direct-to-video movies. (Although thankfully, he is an incredibly successful television actor).

Suggested correction: Those are very narrow parameters that could describe a lot of TV actors, but how would you classify "The Mighty Macs" (2009)? He has a starring role that opened to almost 1,000 theaters its opening week and remained in theaters over a month (albeit with reducing numbers of theaters showing the film).

Trivia: Supposedly, one early draft of the script had Rick and Evie resurrecting Imhotep from the first two films as a begrudging ally to help them defeat the Dragon Emperor. Imhotep actor Arnold Vosloo wasn't keen on this idea, and opted out. He was also good friends with Stephen Sommers, who directed the first two films, and didn't want to do a "Mummy" movie without him at the helm. (Sommers produced this film but stepped away from the director's seat).

Trivia: The actors who voiced the toons would usually stand off-camera and recite their lines to help the live-action actors with their performances. Charles Fleischer, who voiced Roger Rabbit, had one peculiar demand, though - he asked the production to make him a full-size Roger costume to wear, complete with fur and big, floppy ears. He felt that dressing up in a (ridiculous and hilarious looking) Roger costume would help him get into character every day.

TedStixon

Trivia: A fun little tid-bit about how an effect was achieved. According to one of the effects artists, when the Emperor is dying, you see parts of his face sort of bubbling and melting and turning black. Especially his cheeks. Evidently, this is actually digitally manipulated footage of sheets of processed cheese being melted and burned, which was then color-corrected and 3D mapped onto Jet Li's face. I guess you could say this movie kinda takes the term "cheesy" to a whole 'nother level.

TedStixon

Trivia: Many involved with the film have spoken about its poor reception. Eddie Murphy has joked that he knows "two or three" people that like it. Director Ron Underwood has said he thinks the film "was not very good." And co-star Joe Pantoliano has said "because of the material and the style in which some players came to work, we were off the mark, you know?" Pantoliano has also expressed regret at the way the film impacted director Underwood's career, saying Underwood was "victimized" by it.

Trivia: The scenes in the snowy mountains were actually filmed on an incredibly hot soundstage. Everyone was profusely sweating at all times under the hot stage lights. It reportedly was so hot that whenever she could, Maria Bello would wear literally nothing beneath her coat except a bra.

Jackass Forever (2022)

Trivia: Series co-star Bam Margera was fired during production for reportedly failing to take cooperate with various conditions set for his appearance, such as random drug tests. After being fired, he started a lawsuit against the other creators and reportedly sent death-threats to longtime "Jackass" director Jeff Tremaine, resulting in Tremaine taking out a restraining order against him. Despite his firing, Margera did film a few scenes and does briefly appear in the finished film.

Halloween Kills (2021)

Trivia: Spoilers: The original ending featured Laurie calling her daughter and hearing Michael breathing... thus realizing her daughter was dead. Laurie then walks out of the hospital holding a knife, presumably on her way to face Michael. However, this ending was cut short at the last minute, when director David Gordon Green and the writers decided that the next film would feature a time-jump ahead. They didn't want to give the impression that the next film took place immediately after.

TedStixon

Trivia: Reportedly, Eddie Murphy, director Ron Underwood and the producers all had different ideas for what the style, tone and humor of the film should be. Murphy, being the biggest name, would often overrule director Underwood and the producers, and he allegedly also supervised reshoots without Underwood involved.

TedStixon

Trivia: At various points early in the writing process, both Jessica Rabbit and Baby Herman were considered to be twist-villains during the third act. Ultimately, the character Judge Doom was created and became the bad-guy as the script was further developed.

TedStixon

Trivia: They hadn't come up with the final design for Jessica during filming, so Bob Hoskins was told to just imagine his "ideal sexual fantasy" when picturing the character. Hoskins later remarked that the final design was actually sexier and more risque then what he pictured in his head.
