Other mistake: Near the end, after they enter Cyberdyne, the other guard notices the main guard gone. He goes to the bathroom to find him. "Gibbons, you can't leave the desk like that." The interior door is slightly closing when he opens the main door. How is this possible?

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
Suggested correction: That's explainable by air pressure from opening the outer door causing the inner door to move. They don't have handles and only have to be pushed open so they can be moved by air pressure.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
Revealing mistake: Right before Sarah fires the second shot at Dyson at his home office, you can see a puff of smoke come from where she is at. The problem is, she doesn't shoot until a second or two after that and no sound is heard. What is the puff of smoke?
Suggested correction: After the first shot, there is only a brief close-up of Dyson and then one of Sarah before she fires the second shot. There is no smoke coming from her side before she fires the second shot, as that can't be visible. There is some smoke appearing after the second shot though, in the shot with the camera behind the desk and Dyson diving under it. But that's probably electronics flying and exploding from the second shot hitting the computer. A second or 2 later, she opens up full auto.
The puff of smoke is outside.

Hot Shots! (1991)
Revealing mistake: When Topper is showing off on his bike near the beginning, there is a scene where he gets down from standing up on his bike. It's very obviously a stunt double. The man looks thinner than Charlie Sheen and his hair is different.

Top Gun (1986)
Trivia: The Navy only authorized two actual missiles to be fired for the film. Thus a couple of the missile shots are obviously repeated, and they're easy to spot. The rest of the missile shots were done with miniatures. The company responsible for the miniatures did such a good job that an investigation was done by the Navy to see if more than two missiles had been fired.

Top Gun (1986)
Continuity mistake: Maverick is talking to Charlie in the scene where she gives him her address. In the angle from behind him, his right hand is up holding a pencil next to his head. In the reverse shot, his hand is down. No pencil.

Better Call Saul (2015)
Continuity mistake: In the desert when Tuco and Nacho are interrogating Saul, the sun and sky change half a dozen times. When he is being cut free, the sun is to his left. The next shot it's overhead. The continuity gradually improves as the scene goes on.

The Quiet Man (1952)
Continuity mistake: When Wayne and O'Hara leave on the carriage with the horn, the door to the house is open. Cut to the wider shot and the door is closed.

The Quiet Man (1952)
Other mistake: Maureen O'Hara's brother punches John Wayne. You can tell how far away from him Wayne is, and the sound of the punch is a touch off. He's punching air.

The Quiet Man (1952)
Trivia: As was custom with a lot of films at the time, this movie makes some extensive use of rear-projection. Several scenes were shot in a studio but used filmed or still backgrounds to make it appear like they were shot on location. A lot of the scenes that take place while characters are on a horse-drawn carriage use the technique, except the shots behind the characters are moving. The biggest use of rear projection is during the horse race on the beach.

The Quiet Man (1952)
Visible crew/equipment: Maureen O'Hara takes off her stockings and runs across the water toward the camera. As she gets closer, it's clear there is a light behind the camera as the camera casts a big shadow on her.

The Quiet Man (1952)
Revealing mistake: During the courting scene as they're riding through the countryside, the man controlling the horse has a pipe in his mouth. It casts a shadow on the rear-projected background, making it very obvious. So does Maureen O'Hara's hat. John Wayne's shoulder does as well.

Independence Day (1996)
Trivia: The scene where Will Smith climbs aboard the crashed craft ("Welcome to Earth") was accomplished by using forced perspective, an in-camera technique that is as old as cinema. The ship is much closer to the camera than Will is, but it gives the illusion he is climbing aboard this massive craft. The technique is also used elsewhere in the film but this is one of the best examples.

Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987)
Audio problem: When Lewis is checking into the first hotel and finds out the rooms have been cancelled, he asks the front desk clerk Sunny if there is anything she can do. She leans back a bit and you can hear her say, "I don't," but her mouth doesn't move. She then says she will ask her manager. This is a weird error, likely caused by audio overlaid from another angle where the line was different.

Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987)
Continuity mistake: When Louis is carrying all of the luggage into the first hotel, he bumps into people who bump the guy on the ladder, Stewart. This causes a coconut to fall on the guy's head. You can see Stewart start to come down the ladder. Cut to a different angle; Stewart is back at the top of the ladder and climbs back down again.

The Fugitive (1993)
Visible crew/equipment: During the parade, Gerard motions for the other guy on his team to stay to the right. There are a couple of shots of the parade, followed by the one where Gerard looks over the green wall. As this is happening, the camera is moving to the left. Look in the windows of the building. You can briefly see it pass.

Vegas Vacation (1997)
Factual error: Near the beginning, it's clear we're in Chicago because we're hearing a Chicago radio station. Clark turns the corner before nearly running into people in the road. You can see mountains in the background very briefly. The Griswold house was one of the properties on the Warner Brothers Ranch in Burbank, California which has since been demolished.

Thelma (2024)
Continuity mistake: At the gas station, Thelma and Ben are talking to random people Thelma thinks she knows. Meanwhile, her family is on the way there. The sun is going down in this sequence and it's noticeably getting darker. Before they run behind the building, it's suddenly lighter outside and gets darker again.

Toy Soldiers (1991)
Plot hole: When the military says they're going in, they ask how Billy got off campus through a pipe. Earlier when Billy goes through the pipe he's immediately met by two soldiers in ghillie suits. You mean to tell me the soldiers that meet Billy wouldn't know how to get through a pipe? The military is incompetent in this film but come on.

True Lies (1994)
Continuity mistake: During the "bridge is out" scene, Harry's helicopter is parallel to another chopper to the right of it. The chopper to the right is in front of and then behind Harry's chopper depending on the angle.
Revealing mistake: Han and Leia are arguing in the ice tunnels near the beginning. Han tells her she wants him to stay, and they stop and talk about it. Two people pass. Han moves back for the first person to come between them. The second alien-looking guy walks behind Han. His rubber mask gets caught on Han's right shoulder and bounces back into shape immediately.
