Plot hole: After Captain Ron gets fired, Martin mentions seeing Roscoe. How does he know who this person is? This is the first time we've heard Roscoe mentioned in the film. Sure we are then shown that Roscoe is the pimp for the prostitute but how did Martin know who he was?

Visible crew/equipment: When Sherman and Carla are walking down the steps at the college, the camera is moving backwards down with them. When they are in the sun there is one moment where the shadow of the camera can be seen right between the two on the lower part of the screen.

Revealing mistake: Near the start of the journey, there is a shot of Chance and Shadow running through a creek. This is followed by a shot of Shadow coming toward the camera. As she turns off to the left screen, something on the bottom moves with her. It is likely a guide for the cat to follow.

Visible crew/equipment: When Chance is mingling at the wedding, the camera shows his point of view going under a table. The shadow of the camera (with wires) can be seen on the left side of the screen.

Continuity mistake: After Joshua is leaving Hunsaker's home after killing him, he is talking to Peter on a mobile phone and it is nearly dark. In Peter's scene in the car, the sun is still up and it is late afternoon/early evening. They are both in the same city.

Continuity mistake: Near the end of the film as the shields come down, the jets start firing missiles at the ship. There is a shot of Randy Quaid's son walking through the control room at Area 51. Notice in the background, the lights are blinking on and off. The alien ship hasn't fired it's main weapon yet. Once it does they show the lights flickering off and on in the control room. These scenes are several minutes apart.

Visible crew/equipment: When Riggs frees Murtaugh near the end, the camera pans from left to right following him (after he kills the bad guy). On the bottom of the screen the shadow of a leg can be seen and it moves when the camera pans.

Audio problem: The same female scream can be heard three times during the first attack by the aliens. It is first heard in the scene when Jeff Goldblum is riding his bike to his father's house. The second time it is heard right as Jeff gets to his father's door. The third time is in Los Angeles when the people are running away. It's a very distinct scream.

Character mistake: When Roy is heading toward Devil's Tower in his car, you can hear a radio report. The man says something about the Tetons and then mentions the town of Meteetsee. He says "Meh-test-ie." That's the incorrect pronunciation.

Continuity mistake: The pattern of shaving cream on Roy's face changes during the scene in which he gets fired.

Continuity mistake: The sky at the end changes several times from being cloudy to clear. Look at the reflection of it when Willy comes over to Jessie in the water. The next shot is cloudy. The jump scene is clear, and then it is sunny.

Continuity mistake: Minnie Driver helps Christian Slater escape from the prison by unscrewing a metal cage. Right before she is finished unscrewing there is an underwater shot of the cage already broken through. Cut to the next shot and she frees the cage again.

Visible crew/equipment: When Bond and another man are pulling into the "new digs", there is a shot of their black SUV turning right. In the reflection of the car, you can see a boom mic.

Continuity mistake: When the kids burst into the house party there are two shots of them flooding in. In the second shot there are kids already on the stairs partying.

Continuity mistake: In the scene when the IRS man attempts to pry open John's door, he gets one board slightly off. In the overhead shot, the board is completely off and on the ground.

Continuity mistake: During the beginning of the chase sequence, Marty is hanging on to a rope and there is a rear facing shot looking at him. There are two wet tire tracks in the shot. These disappear in the following shots.

Revealing mistake: In the hotel room, Nathaniel picks up the squirrel by the tail. In the very first shot he goes to grab it and grabs thin air below the prince's knee. In the quick angle change he has the squirrel in his hand. It looks like either the actor or the computer animator didn't quite sync things up.

Factual error: Nick says earthworms are dormant this time of year. In the summer? No way. Basic common sense says otherwise.

Visible crew/equipment: When the neighbors are shooing the cops out, the husband opens the door. As he does the reflection of a crew member in the door glass.

Continuity mistake: Bash takes his shirt off revealing the wound on his right arm. He starts wrapping it again with cloth and the scene cuts to Kenna. It cuts back quickly to Bash and his bandage is fully tied. There is no way he could accomplish this one handed.
