The Abyss (1989)

Visible crew/equipment: The ship is moving underwater and explosions are going off left and right. The main female character says she is going to check the battery room. As she goes, the camera is in front of her, and its shadow, including a microphone antenna are on her.

Visible crew/equipment: After Malak causes the rocks to fall at the waterfall, he is thrown off and flies outward, but comes back towards the rocks as if he is swinging on a wire harness. If using a DVD player, the wire harness can be seen right as he starts to fall. (01:24:20)

Revealing mistake: When Conan's assistant Malak is climbing down the waterfall, he causes some rocks to fall, one large one obviously lands right on him, but he is fine in the next shot. (01:24:15)

Revealing mistake: In both shots rowing toward the ice castle and back from it, the shot is obviously using some sort of rear projection, as the film running behind has marks such as hairs and scratches that have been amplified. The contrast between the main shot and the rear projection is different too.

Visible crew/equipment: During the opening fight before the queen reveals herself, the camera shadow, along with the shadows of a few crew members can be seen when one of the fighters is thrown to the ground. The camera pans down, and you see its shadow.

Audio problem: When Nora is trying to tell Mark that it wasn't his fault that the boy committed suicide, her lips aren't in sync with what she is saying. (00:38:00)

Audio problem: Around half an hour into the film, some kids are listening to a tape of the radio show and a teacher takes the tape out because he doesn't like the content. As he takes the tape out, the audio ends right after the tape door opens, when it should have ended a little sooner, if it was actually coming from the tape player. (00:32:35)

Visible crew/equipment: About an hour and 12 minutes into the film, Russell Crowe is chasing the guy in the Bronco. After he gets to where he is going, he stops by the window of a building and watches some men enter. The camera changes to his point of view and pans to the left. As it is doing so, its reflection becomes visible in the glass. (01:12:30)

Visible crew/equipment: When the camera is pulling back really fast being chased by the people in Africa, its shadows can be seen multiple times on the characters and the walls.

Miss March (2009)

Other mistake: Throughout most of the sequence in Hugh Hefner's office, the framing of the camera cuts the main character's head off. This is not a cinema error, this is bad framing. The framing fixes itself then goes back to cutting the character's head off.

Miss March (2009)

Visible crew/equipment: During the beginning of the prom party scene, the camera pans from left to right down a street. On the left side of the frame, the shadow of the camera equipment can be seen at the start of the shot.

Milk (2008)

Continuity mistake: When James Franco leaves Harvey, his dog is sitting on a chair next to him. The dog disappears in the next scene, but is back seconds later. There is not enough time for him to jump off and back on.

Continuity mistake: Near the beginning, Paul is putting peanut butter on his pie. The amount significantly changes from the point when he puts it on until the final scene. At first, there is a lot of peanut butter, then there is only a little.

Visible crew/equipment: When Paul and the bad guy fall through the skylight into the play area with a lot of colored balls, the crash mat becomes visible as they land on it. The mat also throws the balls into the air.

House of Voices (2004)

Other mistake: The DVD release was created with a "pseudo widescreen" as various scenes cut off major action. The most obvious is in the beginning of the film when the main character meets the crazy girl. Her head is framed bottom right but the widescreen completely cuts off the crazy girl's head. This can be explained by the enormous aspect ratio of the original film, which is bigger than standard (USA) widescreen, that or a bad transfer.

Visible crew/equipment: During the very first scene of the movie with Denzel walking toward the crime scene, the shadow of the camera is on the back of his shirt, below the NYC crime scene lettering.

Bedtime Stories (2008)

Visible crew/equipment: Right after it rains gumballs we are back in the hotel and looking at the front desk while the bad guy and girl are talking. This shot is a low angle moving right. On the counter mid-frame is a perfect shadow of the camera as the shot moves to the right.

Yes Man (2008)

Continuity mistake: When Carl arrives to notify the girl that he likes Redbull, he is wearing a glow stick necklace. During the course of the next couple of scenes, the necklace changes positions and the color becomes stronger towards the end.

Yes Man (2008)

Continuity mistake: Near the beginning of the film, Carl's car runs out of gas and as he is walking into the gas station, we can see the sign, including the gas prices. They are all around 5 dollars and 30 cents a gallon. However, later, when the girl arrives, a closer shot near the pump shows the price of gas to be 3 dollars and 30 cents a gallon.

Visible crew/equipment: At the end of the film, when Ernest comes in with the sleigh, the camera moves down to ground level as the actors on the ground are shouting at him. When the camera is descending, it creates a shadow on several of the characters as well as the ground.
