Visible crew/equipment: At the end of the third act, when Diesel and Walker line up at the lights to drag the quarter mile beside the train tracks, you'll notice the reflection of two crew members appear in the back of the side view mirror of the Charger as they approach it to get the steadicam close-up of Diesel telling Walker that on green, he's going for it. Revealing mistake: There is a scene near the end of the movie, where Brian is chasing Johnny and Lance on motorcycles that just shot his friend. At one point, first the motorcycles, and then the car leap over a hill on the street. You can see two ramps at the top of the hill, one for each motorcycle. (01:32:50)

Continuity mistake: When Brian and Roman are at the car impound, Brian is searching inside the Ferrari, and Roman says "Look in the center." Roman is holding onto the side of the car and looking away from Brian, yet in the following shot he is now holding onto the top of the car and is looking directly at Brian. (00:32:50)

Continuity mistake: In the car chase scene towards the end of the film, Brian is not wearing his seat belt in close-ups, yet in the outside-the-car shots, the driver has his seat belt on. (01:17:00)

Continuity mistake: The smudges and blood-stains on Dom's shirt in the end change a lot during the scene. (01:25:50)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Brian is chasing Johnny Tran, he stops the car and shoots Johnny. Johnny spins out and falls off the bike. While he falls off the bike you can see a shopping cart on the side of the road, but when Brian runs over to see if he is dead, the cart is gone. (01:34:15)

Visible crew/equipment: Near the end, in a shot of Monica and the baddie (just before they get onto the boat) standing beside a large vehicle, the camera is quite close and then it tracks backwards. The reflection of the legs of the steadicam operator walking backwards as he moves the camera, is seen at the side of the car. (01:27:50)

Continuity mistake: Close to the end, when Brian and Roman are driving to meet Verone in Roman's car, Roman has his arm out the window, yet in the following shot its not out the window. (01:24:55)

Revealing mistake: When Suki and Tej are being booked for speeding when they took Brian's and Roman's cars, the police officer next to them should be writing on his notepad, but instead the words are already written and he is just moving the pen over these words. (01:24:25)

Continuity mistake: When Tej and Suki get stopped, they both get out of the cars, and Tej's door remains open in one shot and is closed in the following shot. (01:23:25)

Continuity mistake: When the Evo and the Eclipse enter the highway, after Brian and Rome loaded up their cars with the bags of money, Brian shifts into third gear and later fourth gear. The Evo has the aftermarket Momo pedals installed, but after the Evo gets shot with the ESD from the helicopter, and when Brian tries to hold down the gas with his foot, the pedals in the Evo are the stock ones. Continuity mistake: When Brian Roman and two of Verone's guys are at the trailer park close to the end, on the road through the trailer park there is a speed bump, yet when Roman sets the Dodge off on its own, there is a view of the road again, and the speed bump has vanished. (01:14:05)

Continuity mistake: When Luda is explaining the rules of the drag to Rome and the bloke in the Challenger, he has his hands on his knees, then in the following shot they're behind his back, then again in the next shot they're on his knees. All in quick succession. (00:47:00)

Continuity mistake: When they are about to race against Fonzie and Fabio the two muscle cars, the blue one and the orange one, are parked in a line. Moments later, when Roman moves forward and stops there is only the orange muscle car there. (00:45:50 - 00:46:55)

Continuity mistake: At the end of the first race, Brian speeds over the finish line then stops in front of Tej, and when the camera cuts to a wider shot of Tej the crowd is a few feet away from Tej in all directions, but in the following closeup Tej is now surrounded with people. (00:12:35)

Continuity mistake: Brian wears sneakers with white laces during the race. In the close-ups of his feet on the brakes, they're laced up differently through the eyelets. (00:10:00 - 00:14:50)

Super Grover ★

Continuity mistake: When Brian and Roman are speeding down the highway to get to the boatyard, the camera cuts to inside police headquarters (I think). On the computer screen are two GPS signals (Brian and Roman), and it says 6th and 7th Street, but when it cuts to a wider angle it says 4th, 5th and 6th Street, indicating the screen has moved up instead of down. Factual error: In the first hijacking, one of the Honda Civics slips under the truck's trailer to avoid the road crew. Trailers with that much ground clearance do not exist, also trailers have a safety guard running the length of that space designed to prevent this very scenario from happening with a lower vehicle. The trailer has been modified to ride much higher than normal to make this stunt possible. The modifications to the lowered Honda are not sufficient to fit beneath an un-altered trailer. (00:02:35)

Continuity mistake: When Sean Boswell is driving the red Lancer for the first time at the docks, right after the guy in the orange sweater says, "Will someone please teach this guy to drift", Sean crashes the back of his car against a pile of wood, and you can see the spoiler falling on the ground. In the next shot, you see Sean's face, and in the background the spoiler is back on the car. (00:45:20)

Continuity mistake: While Brian is running the Eclipse through the stadium parking lot, he shifts and the car jumps from 120 mph to 140 mph in about one second. (00:03:35)
