Trivia: This was the first post-pandemic film to both earn more than $100 million at the domestic box office on its opening weekend and at least $1 billion globally. Even with an ongoing pandemic, it managed to have the second highest domestic opening of all time at $260 million. Trivia: SPOILER: Prior to the film's release, unconfirmed reports stated Charlie Cox would appear in the film as Matt Murdock, reprising his role from the Netflix series Daredevil. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige practically spilled the beans days before the release, stating that if the day ever came that Marvel would use the Daredevil character in their films, Cox would be playing him. The episode of Hawkeye that premiered the day before this film's release all but confirmed this, as Vincent D'Onofrio was revealed to be reprising his role as Kingpin from the aforementioned Daredevil series.

When their respective characters of Robb Stark and Jon Snow bid farewell to each other, Robb Stark said to Jon Snow "Next time I see you, you'll be in all black." Harington plays Dane Whitman, who in the comics is one of several men in his bloodline to go by the codename Black Knight, due to his all black armor.

Trivia: A promotional poster for the PG-13 version of this film (Once Upon a Deadpool) was released as a parody of a painting commissioned by the LDS church called "The Second Coming." This was reportedly done in response to the state of Utah - known for the LDS church having unconstitutional influence over its state laws - fining a theater that served alcohol for showing the first film, alleging that it violated state liquor laws by serving alcohol while showing nudity or simulated sex.

Trivia: Ryan Reynolds donated $5,000 to the defense fund of a theater in Salt Lake City that was fined for showing this movie. The theater in question is known for serving beer, and Utah state liquor laws prohibit the showing of nudity or simulated sex in places that serve alcohol. A U.S. district judge ruled that the law violated the theater's freedom of speech and ordered the state to pay them $474,000. In response to the fine, Reynolds tweeted "Thank god, they've found a way to legislate fun."
