Trivia: After Sylvie activates the reset charges in the store, some of the places that show up on the TVA's monitors are planets visited throughout various MCU films, including Sakaar, Niflheim, Hala, Xandar, Vormir, Titan and Ego.
Trivia: SPOILER: Some fans of the show correctly theorized that Kang would be the man behind the TVA, as one of the Timekeepers in Miss Minutes' animated presentation in the first episode bears a strong resemblance to Kang actor Jonathan Majors, who was confirmed to be playing the character in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania several months before Loki debuted on Disney+.
Trivia: Nick Fury, as played by Samuel L. Jackson, is modelled after the Ultimate version of Nick Fury in the comics, who in turn was modelled after Jackson, with his blessing. Though Jackson claims to have no recollection of giving Marvel his blessing to use his likeness.
Trivia: Frog Thor, aka Throg, has a brief appearance in this episode, trapped inside a jar and trying to retrieve Mjolnir. Director Kate Herron revealed that Chris Hemsworth actually provided the sound of Throg struggling to retrieve his hammer.
Trivia: In the years following its release, the skull logo used in this film had been co-opted by Blue Lives Matter advocates and American far-right conservatives, including some of the Capitol insurrectionists of January 6th. Punisher co-creator Gerry Conway and Jon Bernthal - who would later portray the Punisher in the Netflix series - have criticized these groups for misunderstanding and appropriating the character. Punisher #13, which was released in July 2019, even had a scene that depicted the Punisher beating up and admonishing cops who idolized him.
Trivia: When Loki, Sylvie, Mobius, Classic Loki, and Kid Loki are standing atop the hill looking at Alioth in the distance, visible in the background on the left side of the screen is the Dark Aster, the ship of Ronan the Accuser.(00:34:40)
Trivia: When all the Lokis are running towards the hatch to Kid Loki's lair, the Thanos-Copter, Thanos' personal helicopter from the comics, is visible in the background.(00:08:46)
Trivia: Although she was an original creation for the show, Sylvie is partly based on the second version of Enchantress from the comics, whose real name is Sylvie Lushton, and, as her name suggests, has the power to enchant people.
Trivia: This is the first Marvel show that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige considers to be canonically set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although other shows such as Agents of S.H.I.E.L. D, Inhumans, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, Runaways, and Helstrom were said to be set in the MCU, Feige had no direct involvement or say-so on their direction, and therefore doesn't consider them to be canon. He even stated that he considers Phil Coulson to still be dead, despite being the main character in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Trivia: Bucky and Rhodey are the first characters to appear in all four phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though this is due to Black Widow's theatrical release being delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Trivia: When the camera is panning through the ruined city in The Void, the Avengers tower is visible, with "Qeng" displayed on the side of the building, a clue to Kang being the man controlling the TVA.(00:02:59)
Trivia: After Kid Loki tells Loki what his Nexus event was, the helmet of Yellowjacket is visible on the ground on the left side of the screen.(00:08:40)
Trivia: In order to help promote the film, Ryan Reynolds and Taika Waititi filmed themselves reacting to the trailer in character as Deadpool and Korg from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, respectively.
Trivia: When Yelena is talking about Alexei wanting to relive his glory days as the Red Guardian, she sarcastically calls him Crimson Dynamo. In the comics, Crimson Dynamo is one of Iron Man's enemies. Ivan Vanko from Iron Man 2 was partly based on this character.
Trivia: At one point in this episode, Mobius mentions that the TVA has interrogated vampires. While this may seem like an innocuous line, it may be a subtle way for Marvel to plant the seeds of Blade's forthcoming MCU debut.
Trivia: In the comics, the Grandmaster has blue skin. Taika Waititi opted not to color Jeff Goldblum blue for this film since he already previously played a blue-skinned character in the film Earth Girls Are Easy. However, you can see Grandmaster's fingernails are painted blue, possibly as a reference to his comic counterpart.
Trivia: A behind the scenes photo showed Chris Hemsworth sporting an extremely muscular build. However, it wasn't for this film that he achieved that physique, but rather for an upcoming Hulk Hogan biopic.
