Trivia: Professional wrestler Kevin Nash, who portrays the Russian, had long hair for several years prior to making this film. At the time he was working for WWE, and he engaged in a mini feud with Chris Jericho, which culminated in the two competing in a hair versus hair match, with the loser having their long locks cut off by the victor. Nash tipped off that he would lose the match prior to the start by having his brunette hair already bleached blonde to match the Russian's look.

Trivia: The makeup design worn by the clown that Dexter kills in the flashback is almost exactly the same as Joaquin Phoenix from Joker. Harrison even refers to Dexter being like Batman.

The man did not find it funny and attempted to attack Murr before security intervened. Despite being told it was for a hidden camera show, the man's anger was not assuaged, and he waited for Murr outside the store to confront him again. Murr was able to use an alternate exit.

Trivia: Ethan Hawke, who portrays Arthur Harrow, was previously considered to play Doctor Strange. Prior to signing on to this show, Hawke for his part said that the superhero genre didn't really appeal to him.

Trivia: Rider Strong, who had otherwise retired from acting, agreed to reprise his role of Shawn Hunter from Boy Meets World under the condition that he be allowed to direct some episodes of this series.

He portrayed Apocalypse in Fox's X-Men: Apocalypse, voiced Spider-Man 2099 in Sony's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and lastly makes his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as the title character of this series.

Trivia: Homer becomes the owner of the Denver Broncos at the end of the episode, much to his chagrin as he preferred to own the Dallas Cowboys and the Broncos are bumbling. In real life, the Broncos won two consecutive Super Bowls not long after this episode aired, while the Cowboys have been mediocre at best since.
