Other mistake: Towards the end of the film, after Snipes beats up of a lot of vampires, Whistler throws Blade's sunglasses to him. They show him throw them in one shot, then in the next shot they show Snipes catching them. But look in the background at Whistler, he doesn't have the glasses, but is moving his arm like he is throwing them. The glasses must have been computer animated, and bad editing contributed to this mistake. (01:37:34)

Continuity mistake: Just after Scud gets blown up, Reinhardt's face has no blood on it. Yet when he walks out of the room with Whistler, his face is covered in blood.

Migster

Revealing mistake: When Damoscinos is dying, just after being bitten, he stumbles to the ground. As he does so, you can see the tube feeding the green "blood" to his neck on the ground behind him.

Continuity mistake: After Nomak rips into Damaskinos's neck, Damaskinos backs up with no blood on his face, but in the next shot, his mouth is suddenly covered in blood and he is spitting up blood rapidly from his mouth.

Revealing mistake: In the opening scene, Novak attacks and bites a woman, and when the security guard begins to shoot at Novak there are bumps on Novak's back exactly where he gets shot, signifying the explosive squibs. (00:02:50)

The-Immortal

Continuity mistake: At the end of the film when Reinhardt and Whistler are in a room together, Reinhardt turns and looks at the monitors and mouths "what the f**k?" he turns his head to the side, yet in the following shot his body is side on, and he is looking right at Whistler ready for the punch. (01:27:00)

The-Immortal

Revealing mistake: This is during the fight between Blade and Nomak at the House of Pain. While Blade is walking across the wooden platform, you can see Nomak readying himself to get launched on the platform. (00:52:20)

Continuity mistake: During the scene where Damaskinos is talking to his lawyer, there is a lot of the jello-like blood substance on his plate. However, when he gets up to go to the pool of blood, there's nothing on the plate.

ACertainShadeofGreen

Continuity mistake: In the middle of the film when the Bloodpack gear up ready to go out and into the sewers to find the reapers. Blade and Nyssa are talking at a table, Whistler shouts "hey Blade, give me a hand". In this shot we see Nyssa looking at Blade, but in the following shot she is now looking down and away from Blade. The-Immortal

Continuity mistake: When Blade is fighting the henchmen near the end, he lifts the last surviving one into the air and you can see Blade's hand through the henchman's throat and it is obviously a dummy. Then, when he falls backwards, his hand is not on his throat, it is on the henchman's shoulder.

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, Novak is walking down a corridor with a woman, and when she says, "Where did you get that scar on your chin? " Novak puts his hand to his mouth to cover it when he coughs, but in the shot from the security camera and normal view his hand is not at his mouth. (00:01:25)

The-Immortal

Continuity mistake: At the end when Reinhardt and Blade face off, Blade grabs hold of the sword, and in one particular shot the sword bends, yet in the following shot, it is straight. (01:33:15)

The-Immortal

Continuity mistake: At the beginning, when Blade is chasing the vampires, in one shot two of the vampires are on the right, then one is on the left. Also, when Blade shoots them he runs past the exploding corpses, but in the next shot he's running past them again. (00:05:05)

Visible crew/equipment: When Blade is entering 'the house of pain' where all the vampires are dancing, a crew member is seen at the bottom right hand side of the screen behind a table, pushing a button which makes the door go up for Blade. (00:35:10)

Continuity mistake: When Scud gets blown up there is only dry pieces of him that go everywhere, surely there would be blood as well.

Migster

Other mistake: At the end of the movie, when Novak bites Nyssa, Nyssa is screaming. You can clearly see mercury-amalgam fillings in her teeth. (01:41:02)

Continuity mistake: When Blade's giving Whistler an injection, in one shot he has just his left hand on the back of Whistler's head; in the next shot, he has both hands there. (00:13:35)

The-Immortal

Other mistake: When Blade is fighting Nomak in the House of Pain, Nomak pulls a steel bar out of the ground and Blade retaliates by drawing his sword. The way he does this however (Blade grabs hilt and the sword magically detaches from his back) would suggest that either the sword wasn't sheathed or he just cut through both the scabbard and his coat. (00:54:20)

Blade II mistake picture

Revealing mistake: When Blade slices Reinhardt in half, as the sunglasses fly off the two halves of his face you can briefly see that Reinhardt (or more precisely the CGI model of him) has no eyes. (01:37:23)

Continuity mistake: When we first see Novak in the head vampires's house on the computer, the image we see is not from a security camera perspective. (00:25:25)

The-Immortal

Scud: So, B-man, what do you think?
Blade: Sounds like a plan.
Whistler: What do you really think?
Blade: They're gonna fuck us the first chance they get.

Trivia: At the end of the film, Rush is killed by Blade, who is hiding behind the curtain at a peep-show booth. In the 1996 film "The Crow: City of Angels", the lead character Ashe surprises a villain in the same manner. Both films were written by David S. Goyer. Goyer had disowned "The Crow: City of Angels" however, due to studio-enforced edits, and decided to re-use the scene in this film.

Question: If Blade knew the bomb on the back of Reinhardt's head wasn't actually a dud like Scud believed it to be, why didn't he detonate it and kill Reinhardt instead of using it to kill Scud? Surely Reinhardt is a bigger threat than Scud. Blade could kill Scud with his bare hands if he wanted to.

Phaneron

Chosen answer: Killing Scud with it probably was more satisfying for Blade than Reinhardt, who he easily beat as well. He hates familiars and that moment he used the bomb to have Scud reveal his betrayal, and then kill him, so he won't get away. Reinhardt he knew would not try to run, he was killing him anyway.

lionhead

Agreed. I saw it as he was waiting for Scud to show his hand. Like Blade said, he knew Scud was a traitor/a familiar the moment they turned him. He was waiting for the perfect time to let Scud know that he was already well informed on his betrayal, and that his azz was now cooked. Doing it that way was way more satisfying for Blade.
