Question: Is there an episode where Bernard can't think of the word for a scanner or card reader or something and refers to it as a "beepitibeep"? Might have the wrong show entirely.

The Shining (1980)
Trivia: At various points in the film, Jack Nicholson flicks his eyes to the camera, often only for a few frames, frequently hard to catch. It's deliberate - in one clip of behind the scenes footage Kubrick lies under him while setting up a scene, and specifically tells him to look down to the camera when filming. But there's no specific answer as to why - genre-defying, or to make the audience feel more threatened, or to make the viewers feel like the ghosts he sees. Hard to unsee though.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005)
Trivia: More recent seasons have fewer scenes outside the front of the bar - the cast have said the area's been gentrified over the years, so it's now a bit too nice looking around there to match the low-rent feel of the setting.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005)
Revealing mistake: As Mac says "I'm very worried about these guys" and exits the bar, there's a shot right through the door and it's not the bar inside at all, just a wall with some pictures on it, much closer to the door than it should be.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005)
Charlie: All right, fine. I voluntarily stepped in the dog shit so that I would smell of dog shit. Happy?
Dennis: Less happy!
Dee: Why would it make me happy?!
Charlie: I was trying to cover up the smell of the skunk that I let spray me so that there would be no questions.
Dennis: Well, now I have more questions!
Dee: Of course you do.

Futurama (1999)
Question: Which episode is it where the characters visit either a museum or an archaeological dig of the 20th century, and come across a voiceover/narrator/scientist making wild and wrong assumptions about the use of common objects? I've got a quote in my mind that's something like "here's where people would maybe do [something] perhaps."
Chosen answer: In s02e06, "The Lesser of Two Evils", they go to "Past-o-Rama" amusement park. There's a hologram of an Old New York traffic and the voice over guy says something like "it was a forum for a free exchange of opinions", followed by New Yorkers yelling.
Thanks! I think what I was remembering was that combined with the Bigfoot video where the narrator says "In the dense forests of the Pacific Northwest dwells the strange and beautiful creature known as Bigfoot, perhaps."

Fast X (2023)
Other mistake: Dante and The Agency both have extensive photos and videos of the team's previous exploits. Trouble is that most of it is simply stills and footage from the previous movies in the franchise, often occasions when nobody was around with a camera to witness and document what was going on, certainly not at the angles we see.

Rick: Listen, I'm not the nicest guy in the universe. Because I'm the smartest, and being nice is something stupid people do to hedge their bets.

Deadpool (2016)
Trivia: Because Ryan Reynolds' face is covered for most of the film, it gave them the opportunity to change some of his dialogue after filming. Reynolds would often think of funny lines, record them on his iPhone, send them to the editors, and if the line worked he'd then record it properly. He's said that some of the iPhone recordings were used directly.

Deadpool 2 (2018)
Trivia: As with the first film, Reynolds' face being covered meant if he thought of funnier lines after filming was wrapped it was comparatively easy to record new ones and replace the originals.

Poker Face (2023)
Continuity mistake: When talking on the roof at the start, the guy in green has his hands in his apron pockets when being told the security cameras are off. Cut to a wider shot and his arms are folded instead.

Castle (2009)
Other mistake: Beckett points out to the murderous security guard that some graffiti magically appears on the tape, showing the live image was replaced with older pre-recorded footage. "Do you see that? It's actually kinda hard to spot." Except the graffiti doesn't appear at the point where the live feed restarts (when the guard enters the shot), it only appears on the footage after a cut away and then back.

Castle (2009)
Stupidity: Castle casually smashes two dolls expecting there to be something hidden inside, but a) he knows they're valuable collectibles which the captain would take serious issue with him smashing, and b) anything inside must have gotten inside somehow non-destructively, so there's no need to smash the dolls, why not get whatever's inside out the same way it got in?

Castle (2009)
Stupidity: The dancing show is appallingly organised - they launch into the opening dance without any of the production crew knowing where one of the two dancers is, leaving everyone mystified when she misses her cue (because she's dead in her dressing room). They wouldn't even have started filming without her being offstage ready to go.

Castle (2009)
Stupidity: Castle and Beckett are trapped in a refrigerated container - they bang against a steel door and shoot it, but never even consider doing anything with the refrigeration coils or vents which are visible, accessible, and what keeps the container cold. Damage them and the space they're trapped in wouldn't be below freezing any more, which is the main danger to them.

Castle (2009)
Continuity mistake: The guy at the door says "I purchased a ton of crap at that place" and the door is partially open next to him. It cuts to a barely different angle as he says "come on in" and the door is instantly wide open. (00:25:25)

Chosen answer: You may be thinking of S3E1, "Manny Come Home", when Manny quits and gets a job at Goliath Books next door. The device they use to scan books, look up items, or even order muffins is referred to as the "Doo-Deedee-Doo," after the sound it makes when employees scan their cards in it.
