Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie when the mob guys come to the boat house to move the body, Barry the Blade shoots a raccoon with his gun which has a silencer. But, later when Reggie shoots the neighbor's alarm system with Barry's gun, it does not sound like it has a silencer anymore.
Suggested correction: The silencer fell off the gun when "the blade" tackled the kid and Reggie. They show the silencer falling off the gun into the leaves.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Thora Birch's character goes to a café with her psychologist, the psychologist takes a bite of a cake and puts it back on the table. In the next scene, the cake has not been touched.
Continuity mistake: When Billy is holding logs still for George to chop, the second log he puts on the stump is stripped of any bark. But when George swings down to chop it, the log is suddenly covered in bark. (00:50:45)
Continuity mistake: When Sy is following Nina and Jake after he put the picture of the husband cheating in with Jake's pictures, the cars pull over to the side of the road. If you watch when they pull over, you see that they pull over next to a down sloping hill that is nicely green with grass and a few sporadic trees. But when they show Sy's car in the rearview mirror, you see that they are now pulled next to a large up sloping hill that is covered in leaves, dirt, and a lot of trees. (00:53:40)
Continuity mistake: When the spaceship first springs a leak and begins to sink, the interior shots show it tilting to starboard; Taylor falls against the starboard bulkhead and the other two survivors need to brace themselves from slipping. All of the exterior shots of the ship show it level from port to starboard.
Continuity mistake: In many places in the movie, a cat noise is heard even though the cat's mouth is quite obviously not open or the cat is licking its face.
Continuity mistake: When Graham goes into Ray's kitchen you see the vegetables scattered and the knife further on the other side of them. When Graham leans up for the knife, however, it is on the other side of the now grouped vegetables. (00:56:40 - 00:58:10)
Continuity mistake: During the close up of Paul writing the word "Mark White" on the lid of the coffin, he is using his right hand. The shot then goes back to Paul, and he is writing with his left hand.
Continuity mistake: When Paxton & Kana escape the factory by stealing a car, he checks his rear-view mirror to see the car pursuing him - the road has a dividing dashed white line on it. When the angle changes to see them driving away from the camera, there is no line on the road. Approx. time code 1:20:00.
Continuity mistake: Minnie gives her the necklace with the tannis root inside and Rosemary holds the chain between her thumb and first two fingers. In the next shot the chain is draped over her fingers. (00:32:15)
Continuity mistake: When Nancy defuses the bomb, leaps into the air and falls down, her head is rested on her arm when she is lying on the floor (in the first scene). In the next scene, her hands are both together and her head is on the ground. (00:50:50)
Continuity mistake: As Rachel is preparing the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, she places the knife on top of the open PB jar in a closeup, but in the very next shot the knife has disappeared, then reappears again. (01:23:15)
Continuity mistake: In the scene in which Leonard writes on the back of his picture of Teddy, "He is the one. Kill him," we see a shot of Leonard placing the picture on top of his tan jacket on the bed as he goes to write on it. Then, it goes to a close-up of the picture in which the jacket has disappeared and the picture is lying directly on the blue bedspread. It actually happens twice within that same scene. (00:15:15)
Continuity mistake: The bottle of Peach Schnapps that Trip (Josh Hartnett) brings to the dance is alternately full and half empty during the scene. When Trip pulls it out, it is new and unopened. He hands it to Lux to drink, at which time it is nearly empty. He then drinks from it, and it is about half-full. He next hands it to the other couple, at which time the bottle is nearly full again. Continuity mistake: When John is driving to the gas station, the back door of his car is missing, although it was there when he was driving from his house.
Continuity mistake: When Vince leaves the freezer and is making his way onto the elevator, he is carrying a Baretta model pistol. When he shoots as the elevator doors are closing the camera cuts to a Glock model pistol, then back to the Baretta again. When the elevator reaches the upper level, the woman picks up the remains of the backfired pistol and it is back to the Glock. (01:21:15 - 01:24:30)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas Cage is being escorted to fetch the roll of film from his car, there are a few scenes where the accountant is holding a gun to Nicholas's head. When the camera is directed at the accountant, two hands can be seen grasping the gun, but when the camera is facing Mr Cage, initially there are two hands but after the next switchback there only appears to be the one! Continuity mistake: In the scene where Rick kills Ray and takes him to that warehouse, Rick stabs Ray in the back, yet when Rick carries Ray to the incinerator he is carrying him with Ray's back against his chest, but there is no blood on his clothes.
Continuity mistake: When Sidney is first going into the house for the end of the movie it is clear that she is not wearing the vest underneath her clothes and as she is walking around or when she is rolling on the ground fighting with her half brother you see her bellybutton but then she has the vest on and it goes over the belly button.
Continuity mistake: When Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are getting ready to bring back Nicole Kidman's jerk boyfriend from the dead, they are going to put him on a counter that has towels and other stuff on it. The camera shows them picking him up and putting him on the counter, and when they do, the towels and stuff are all gone, without them clearing it off. (00:36:40)
