Continuity mistake: In one of the last scenes, Cate Blanchett is standing in the doorway of her son's room. She is wearing a blue striped dress. When she walks into the room, she's wearing a floral dress.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the film when Miss Rhode Island is crowned Gracie tries to take the crown from her. Miss Rhode Island beats her with her bouquet of roses. All of the blossoms are knocked off of the stems. A few seconds later when Gracie is fighting Miss Texas the blossoms are back on the roses that Cheryl, Miss Rhode Island is holding. (01:35:00)
Continuity mistake: In the scene in which Leonard writes on the back of his picture of Teddy, "He is the one. Kill him," we see a shot of Leonard placing the picture on top of his tan jacket on the bed as he goes to write on it. Then, it goes to a close-up of the picture in which the jacket has disappeared and the picture is lying directly on the blue bedspread. It actually happens twice within that same scene. (00:15:15)
Continuity mistake: When Sidney is first going into the house for the end of the movie it is clear that she is not wearing the vest underneath her clothes and as she is walking around or when she is rolling on the ground fighting with her half brother you see her bellybutton but then she has the vest on and it goes over the belly button.
Continuity mistake: After Mrs. Lewton closes the kettle lid, it is open in the next shot.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where James Spader meets Keanu Reeves in the graveyard, we first see a Ford Taurus taxi driving through the gates, but when Spader gets out, the taxi is now a Chevy Caprice.
Continuity mistake: In the last scene Kiefer Sutherland throws his cigarette away and turns to walk to his car but when the camera angle changes he is still smoking it, when he reaches the car he throws the same cigarette away for the second time.
Continuity mistake: When Kawada takes the picture with Keiko on it out of his wallet, you can see the picture from behind, because the light is on it. Then, when it is handed to Noriko, the picture is a completely different one. (00:54:20)
Continuity mistake: When Harrison Ford is watching his wife laying in the bathtub ready to drown, the camera shoots her head several times between cutaways to Ford and the running water. Watch her head relative to the top of the tub in the various shots. In some her head is much higher than in others yet her body never moves.
Continuity mistake: When Tony is stuck in the tunnel in the prison and is talking to Wolf, there are still several feet of tunnel ahead of him before the end of the tunnel. But when Wolf gives him a push, he is shown coming right out of the tunnel's end.
Continuity mistake: When the Wiccan girl and the guy writing the book were sitting at the table the guy knocks down the cup when he hits the table. In the next shot the cup is up again.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the movie, the pan of the house shows the lava lamp on. While the camera is on Jesse, the lamp is off, and when it leaves him, the lamp is on again.
Continuity mistake: After Willis rescues the people, he's at breakfast with his son and wife. He slides the newspaper to his son. Close-up on paper (beside orange juice) shows "Bold" typestyle on story slug. Camera pans up to Willis, cuts to son, cut back to newspaper. Suddenly typestyle is italicised (noticeable on "f" in "found"). (01:34:30)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Jody is with her boyfriend on his bed, as he holds her neck the shot changes and he is holding her shoulder. This repeats a few times.
Continuity mistake: When Bateman goes to Paul's apartment to pack up his stuff to "send him to London" after killing him, as he is packing the bathroom light is off and then about 2 seconds later the light has come on by itself with him nowhere near the room.
Continuity mistake: After they rescued Pierre Niéman, Kerkerian and Fanny out of the avalanche, they put an O2-mask over her face. The strings of the mask were full of blood - even before they touched the bloody face of Fanny.
Continuity mistake: In the gas station scene after Ellen learns that Phil has drowned, she is so distraught she forgets to put the gas cap on and we can see it on the roof of her car as she drives away. But when she arrives at the police station we can see that the gas cap is on. (01:10:20)
Continuity mistake: When Eloise goes down the staircase and Tom Tom stops her, she is clutching a book to her chest, holding it at the top. When the camera angle changes she is holding it at the side. (00:15:50)
Continuity mistake: In the close up of Thorne dropping his keys in a dish near the beginning of the movie, his keys are for a Dodge vehicle, but he drives a Cheverolet Sedan.
Continuity mistake: When Jones throws the glass of wine on the floor, the glass shatters and is completely dry.
