Continuity mistake: In the dormitory, when lovestruck Ron is going gaga over Romilda, he is wearing a brown sleeveless tee shirt and its tan trim has many holes. When Harry brings Ron to Slughorn, Ron is still wearing that tee shirt, but now some of the holes are gone and the rest of the holes have changed position. (01:26:50)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Watson and Adler are laying out the map, they place two objects on the map to hold it down. In the very next clip where it shows Holmes talking, you see Watson and Adler placing those same objects on the map.
Continuity mistake: When John is driving to the gas station, the back door of his car is missing, although it was there when he was driving from his house.
Continuity mistake: During the sheriff interview scene with Abbey, the time is listed as 3:45am, but later in the scene, the clock reads 2:15am.
Continuity mistake: After Emily burns her home it's night time, then she follows the police cars and it seems like evening, and when she comes out from the water the sun shines in the background.
Continuity mistake: After Esther suffocates Daniel in the hospital, Kate slaps Esther in the face. The hospital staff then hold down Kate and she drops her iPhone, screen down. The iPhone starts ringing, even though the screen is facing the floor. In the next scene, it is still ringing, but with the screen facing upwards.
Continuity mistake: When the antimatter explodes in the helicopter, the the shock-wave blasts off part of the roof inside St. Peter's Basilica, above the alter, obliterating everything below. However, in the scene where the Camerlengo self immolates himself at the altar close to the end of the movie, there is no evidence of the shock wave earlier, the candles are burning, oil lamps are lit and alter is intact. Continuity mistake: In the scene where Clouseau is having his hair shampooed, the amount of shampoo on Ponton's hands changes, and then the suds disappear. (01:07:40)
Continuity mistake: Jill opens the 6th envelope to show Hoffman. When she does, the envelope instantly vanishes from her hands. (01:18:25)
Continuity mistake: While Sam is talking to Trudy in the bank about the burned church, the name tag on the door in the background when the camera is focused on Trudy is there, then it isn't, then it reappears again throughout the scene. (00:35:30 - 00:36:00)
Continuity mistake: When Sam 2 places Sam 1's helmet on his head before placing him back into the damaged rover, the faceplate is still blood-spattered and dirt-smeared, obscuring Sam 1's face. However, when Sam 1 is settled into the seat in the rover, the faceplate is very clean and his face is visible.
Continuity mistake: Somewhere during the car chase scene, one of the rear lights of the delivery van breaks. After that it magically fixes itself in some shots.
Continuity mistake: When the kid & babysitter go down to the basement, she enters the stairs first. The shot changes, and now the boy is in front of her. (00:46:00)

Continuity mistake: When the killer's truck drives off the bridge, the right headlight gets destroyed and goes out during the roll. A few seconds later, it is lit again. (01:55:35)
Continuity mistake: Liam loads a stretcher in a van. The interior is a Chevrolet. The outside view is a Ford with a bubble window and drives away. Then the next scene shows the gas gauge on a Chevy dashboard. But the worst is at the gas station. While he was filling the van you can see the "express" tag on the door, which is Chevrolet with no bubble window. In the next frame you see the side of the van. Definitely a Ford and the bubble window is back.
Continuity mistake: Sophie Marceau's Jeanne meets the Hachette executive Robert (Didier Flamand). She enters the room with handbag and jacket in one hand. She then follows him into the other half of the room. Now she has her clothes in her right hand and her bag is in her left. Not just that; the man had the folder in his left hand in the first shot, but in the new one it's in his right. (00:04:25)
Continuity mistake: When Max is going to stab Naoko at the end of the movie, he grabs her by the hair, but in the next shot he's grabbing her by the chin. (01:18:30)

Continuity mistake: After the blue car hits the white car, the back bumper, on the left side is sticking up. In the next shot of the white car from the back, the bumper looks like nothing happened. (01:01:30)
