Continuity mistake: Peyton arrives at his destroyed lab, grabs a computer screen and holds it vertically. When the shot changes he's holding it horizontally.

Continuity mistake: At the hospital, when the doctor talks about Peyton's injuries, note that in front of him stands a group of doctors with a medicine cabinet behind them. When Peyton escapes and they all return to the room, the cabinet has been replaced by a window.

Continuity mistake: At the fair, Peyton runs away with the pink teddy elephant and Julie goes after him. She passes by a woman holding a bunch of balloons. In the following shot the woman is nowhere to be seen.

Continuity mistake: While standing on the beam, Louis cries "I built it all!", and the gun in his right hand appears and disappears between shots.

Continuity mistake: When Louis takes Robert's mask out and reveals Peyton's burnt face, Peyton takes his left hand to his cheek. When the angle changes, his hand is lowered and he repeats the movement. In the following shots the position of his hand is inconsistent all the time.

Continuity mistake: During the helicopter scene, when Peyton is hanging onto the cable, in the close-ups he's simply grabbing it, but in the wide shots the cable is strapped around his body.

Continuity mistake: While on the helicopter, Peyton smacks a goon's face, who turns away and shows a streak of blood on his mouth. When the angle changes his head position has changed and is now facing Peyton.

Continuity mistake: When Marty arrives at 1955-Lyon Estates he removes his hood and his fringe is brushed from right to left. When the angle changes it has swapped sides.

Continuity mistake: After the DeLorean disappears with the dog inside, flames appear underneath Marty and Doc. In the close-up of their legs, a shot later, the road is spotless and the flames reappear a second later.

Continuity mistake: Right before Doc presses the remote control to send Einstein to the future, his left index and thumb fingers are on the remote. In the close-up it's just his thumb on it. In further close-ups it swaps to the index and thumb.

Continuity mistake: Before Doc sends Einstein to the future and says "If my calculations are correct...", Marty raises his left arm. When the angle changes it's lowered.

Continuity mistake: Judy comes back from work and throws her notepad and cell phone on the table. When the angle changes the notepad has vanished.

Continuity mistake: When 1955-Marty reads Doc's 1885 letter next to the Western Union car, his right hand is either on the lower part of the paper or the upper, depending on the shot.

Continuity mistake: When Doc travels to 1885, Marty stands on the road holding a rope and says "He's gone." When the angle changes, the length of the rope sticking out is much shorter. (01:38:03)
