Visible crew/equipment: After Magnum deliberately makes a threat against the reporter on the beach, when it cuts to the estate Magnum walks over to Rick who's talking about the union guy, and the white T-mark is visible on the grass where Magnum had been standing. (00:18:45)

Super Grover

Heal Thyself - S3-E11

Revealing mistake: Magnum confronts on the beach the slimy journalist and he 'threatens' him. He then turns around to leave. Close-up on Reporter Eric Daniels and after a second you can see in the left corner of the screen a tiny bit of Magnum's maroon hawaiian shirt pop in view. He never left. (00:18:50)

Heal Thyself - S3-E11

Visible crew/equipment: While Karen is packing up her car Dr. Jorgenson walks over to talk to her, and he begins by saying that he had spoken to her friend. Just as Karen says, "Thomas," in this shot we can spot something covered with black cloth and tape, presumably the boom mic, hovering low between them. (00:25:50)

Super Grover

Heal Thyself - S3-E11

Continuity mistake: To get to the pool area, Magnum slides a door open to the left (of the screen). When he finds the body floating in the water, the underwater camera shows the background, and the door opens towards the right. (00:39:20)

Heal Thyself - S3-E11

Revealing mistake: During the flight towards Karen's location at the end of the episode, TC's chopper suddenly has emergency floats equipped on the skids in the shots when it flies over the coast. (00:43:00)

Of Sound Mind - S3-E12

Continuity mistake: Mr. MacLeish is in his plane, and before taking off he presses Play on the cassette player. He is holding it in a different way (fingers on opposite sides of the tape lid) between shots. (00:03:40)

Of Sound Mind - S3-E12

Revealing mistake: When the plane is blowing dust all over the lawyer and the money-conscious nephew, you can see the face of the extra piloting the plane instead of Donnelly Rhodes. (00:03:50)

Of Sound Mind - S3-E12

Continuity mistake: During the scene when Higgins comically 'abuses' Magnum and his sax skills, the shadow of the instrument on Magnum's chest changes position depending on the angle of the camera. Moreover, when Higgins mentions he came "on two accounts", Magnum tilts the sax back two times in two separate movements. (00:05:50)

Of Sound Mind - S3-E12

Continuity mistake: The first time we see the blonde cousin, she is holding in her arms the picture of dear departed. Cut to a view of the room, and her right hand is at the top of the frame, completely different position from before. (00:08:00)

Of Sound Mind - S3-E12

Continuity mistake: After a breathtaking rendition of "Silent Night", Marina sits down. Next to her Simon is on the couch, who stretches his left arm placing it along the back of the couch, and the right arm goes on the armrest. Yet in the next shot he has both hands in his lap. (00:08:45)

Of Sound Mind - S3-E12

Audio problem: The lawyer and Magnum join the others in the room for the reading (rather, play) of the will. One of the prospect heirs says "It's about time then", but their lips are not moving and the muffled and unnatural ambience makes it even further clear that it is dubbed in. (00:08:55)

Of Sound Mind - S3-E12

Revealing mistake: Magnum takes an ancient gun from the cabinet and stumbles upon one of the eccentric millionaire's practical jokes. The joke though is an impossible one; the string that supposedly triggers it is not there, and when the gun goes off, Magnum is not holding the gun in a way that would pull it. (00:16:25)

Character mistake: Carlton's favourite gun is a Colt "Bisley Model", rare and produced starting 1894. When he introduced it to Magnum in the cabinet he called it a "Colt 45, vintage 1860" (or sixty-something, as Magnum started his line when he might have not finished). (00:16:50)

Visible crew/equipment: When Magnum leaves the guesthouse, he tells TC and Rick that all he wants to do is, "Have a little drinkipoo and watch some telly." Then it cuts to Magnum inserting Wilson's tape, and there are multiple black T-marks visible on the floor, all around the room. (00:22:45)

Of Sound Mind - S3-E12

Continuity mistake: Magnum gives Marina the glass of scotch. When she nervously laughs saying "We all did", she is holding her glass with one hand; in the same shot, the other hand joins, but in the reverse shot it's not there, and back there as it returns to the previous angle. Moreover, the forefinger is at different heights in the separate shots, as shown by the level of scotch. (00:26:15)

Higgins: How fiendishly deceptive of you, Magnum. I could have sworn I was hearing the emasculation of a large rodent. To my great surprise, I see the sounds are emanating from what I thought was a harmless musical instrument.
Magnum: Cute Higgins, real cute.
Higgins: Why Magnum? Why do this terrible thing?
Magnum: Higgins, I'll have you know I used to be very good. I was the second best sax player in my High School band!
Higgins: Well, how many sax players were there?!
Magnum: ...Anyway. I just saw this in a pawn shop window and thought I'd like to try and get my chops back.
Higgins: May I suggest that your "chops" are irretrievable.
Magnum: Higgins, did you come here just to abuse me!?
