Visible crew/equipment: After Magnum deliberately makes a threat against the reporter on the beach, when it cuts to the estate Magnum walks over to Rick who's talking about the union guy, and the white T-mark is visible on the grass where Magnum had been standing. (00:18:45)

Revealing mistake: When Higgins shows Magnum the article that (allegedly) manipulates his words to support the thesis that Karen was driven mad by 'Nam, the paper uses the famed recurring filler text that many Earl Hays Press papers use ("An immediate investigation is assured") that appears in dozens of movies.
