Continuity mistake: Magnum and his client go to Mrs. Iko Tamura's house. Bridget leans against the fence right by the post, and in every front view of her she has her right hand to the right of the post, or on top of it. When the camera is behind Magnum, she is nowhere to be seen. (00:15:50)

Continuity mistake: Magnum grabs Bridget by the arm and drags her to the Ferrari. When she says peeved "He was my father, Magnum!" she puts her hand on her hip, but the reverse shot does not acknowledge this change of stance, and she is still standing with her arms down her body like in the earlier matching angle. Continuity mistake: In a remarkable coincidence, the Admiral Magnum needs to talk to happens to be chilling at his place about to get a mouthful of Higgins' buns. Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the car chase, Rick is in a bit of a jam. There's a close-up with the actors in between two wide shots with the stuntpeople in the car; in that close-up the sunlight is different, as it can be easily seen on the backseats. (00:26:00)

Continuity mistake: TC and Magnum incapacitate a yoyo with a net, then make a hasty escape. The camera cuts when Selleck's stuntman has the camera hand on the window frame, but Selleck himself in the next one has his legs already out and simply has to hop off the sill. (00:31:30)

Continuity mistake: Karen and Magnum have their chat in 'Nam about Thomas' gambling debt. During the scene, in one recurring angle Karen has hair down her temple, in front of her ear, which is gone in other views. (00:03:00)
Revealing mistake: In the close-up of the newspaper with the headline about Karen being the suspect in the serial killings, the same 3 paragraphs are plastered randomly all over the page. (00:06:50)
Audio problem: Not getting much sympathy from his buddies, Magnum just hands his coffee mug to Higgins and bolts off to go meet Karen. If you look at Roger E. Mosley face when he says "Hey Thomas, Higgins said we don't have t...", the audio is dubbed and does not match his lips' movements. (00:07:00)
Factual error: Magnum shows the news of Dr. Karen Harmon on the newspaper to TC and Rick and tells them "She was with the 71st Evac Hospital at Binh Thuy, remember?", but the 71st Evac was at Pleiku, over 600km up north. (00:07:00)
Continuity mistake: When Thomas hands the newspaper to Rick, the paper is perfectly straight in close-up, then folded with the middle pointed down, then folded with the middle being raised. (00:07:00)
