Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the car chase, Rick is in a bit of a jam. There's a close-up with the actors in between two wide shots with the stuntpeople in the car; in that close-up the sunlight is different, as it can be easily seen on the backseats. (00:26:00)

When she says peeved "He was my father, Magnum!" she puts her hand on her hip, but the reverse shot does not acknowledge this change of stance, and she is still standing with her arms down her body like in the earlier matching angle. He puts the towel by the side of the plate he has In front of him, a plate with a fork and a leftover bit of his sandwich. Continuity mistake: Having breakfast with his client, Magnum asks her "Why did the Navy arrest you?" He starts asking while she has the left hand raised, but ends up doing it while she has her right hand raised and chewing on it. (00:08:25)

Continuity mistake: In a remarkable coincidence, the Admiral Magnum needs to talk to happens to be chilling at his place about to get a mouthful of Higgins' buns. When he answers Magnum "Probably too much" after the vigorous shake, his left hand is behind the seat of the Ferrari, but it's on the car door in the shot that follows. (00:22:15)

Other mistake: When Magnum passes a can of nondescript soda to Bridget outside of the Navy building after the chat with Maggie, the vending machine has a big triangle of masking tape to conceal the Coca Cola logo for sponsorship reasons - however the production failed to cover the Sprite button which remains recognizable.
