Other mistake: When finally Richard gets the inspiration to crack the case, he grabs the evidence bag with the phone. The label on the bag says it was processed on 2/4/2011, in contrast with the security camera video date, 3/7/2011 (not to mention Richard's alarm clock in the previous episode, 7/2).(00:40:25)
Other mistake: During the airport reunion with father and son, there are several boxes of "Cole" brand pineapples...which are just Dole brand pineapples with masking tape put on to alter the letter D to a C. The tape came off one box revealing the original unaltered letter - you can also see it on the side of a box carried by an extra, Cole on the front, but Dole on the side.(00:43:05)
Other mistake: The supposed teen prodigy at the beginning of the episode hits the balls shot by the machine sky-high and off her right. Her coach and mum though are thoroughly impressed.(00:01:30)
Other mistake: In the study, Phyllis Reardon retorts bitterly at Magnum that he was kissing Ginger 'yesterday'. But they are staying at Robin's nest, and it's impossible that a whole afternoon and night went by without them talking about what happened - including Magnum to Higgins. And the doctor just came to give her a sedative for the shock...or an earlier day?(00:12:45)
Other mistake: The culprit does not have wounds on their hands, but whoever tampered with the box left blood inside it. If the blood is irrelevant to the case and could have been left by Higgins, then it's unclear why it has an effect on the culprit and make them admit their guilt.
Other mistake: At the beginning of the episode Magnum has some banter with Higgins, but also needs his help with a tie knot he's clueless about, to the point that he can't even pronounce its name and calls it "double Winslow", with Higgins promptly correcting him. And he's completely useless at doing it. However, in the previous season's episode "The Last Page", Magnum was helping Rick with his tie and giving him expert and sensible advice about it and explicitly referencing the Windsor knot, in fact discussing the merits of the half Windsor.
Other mistake: Magnum quite literally breaks into TC's office, shattering the glass with his shoe and reaching through to unlock the door. When he and Rick leave, he reaches in again and locks the door back. They get stopped by Lieutenant Yoshi Tanaka in the corridor, have a bit of banter without them touching the door, and when the policemen walk past them, they just have to push the door to open it; it's completely unlocked already.(00:15:55 - 00:16:55)
Other mistake: During the game at the beginning of the episode, the opposing team (the Pearl City Chargers, white and purple) fields at least two players with the same jersey number 12. The kid protagonist runs past a guy with number 12 at he starts his run, and then dodges another two in front of him, who are present in the same shot - it's not a matter of editing/continuity, at least in that second shot.(00:50:00)
Other mistake: The episode makes sure to mention the real places where the action happens. The fugitive escapes from Halawa Correctional Facility, and dumps the car at Kakaʻako Beach Park, which is about 25 minutes away. Danny and the others arrive at the location way before Steve, who was at the airport, which is roughly 15 mins away from the penitentiary (kinda odd that they'd happen to be even closer than him, but fine). They have then the footage to investigate, the guard to talk to, the game of hoops with the prisoners, go back to their precinct, but despite the huge headstart Ellers had, they catch the car that was abandoned "15 minutes earlier." Moreover, Chin calls Danny to tell him about the car only after he already investigated the location and interrogated the witness. It can't even be 15 minutes, because 15 minutes is when the fugitive bought the products from the market, and he still needed to dye his hair.
Other mistake: When Chin shows the ID of the fugitive, his last name is Ivanovitch, with a T. Later he is looking at his travel history and immigration record, and he's Sergei Ivanovich, no T.(00:16:25 - 00:26:35)
Other mistake: When Steve picks up the call from the Governor, his wristwatch points at about half past 10. The kidnapping, he then says getting to the location, happened one hour before, but during the opening his kid Evan whined that it was 6 am. Also to be noted, Steve in typical movie fashion is expositing the mission during the drive in the outskirts of town, as if he'd just have dragged his partner for miles without saying the first thing about the reason.(00:05:40)
Other mistake: The human trafficker Sang Min covers his retreat from the warehouse firing wildly with a Micro Galil. In the time it takes for Steve to shout to the others if anybody is hurt, he somehow already ran all the way to his Mercedes deep up the alley and start it up so it can make a nice screeching noise and ram McGarrett.(00:34:50)
Other mistake: Speaking with Chen, Higgins tells him that she had Robin Master's IT experts "scrub every byte" of the computer Magnum used to upload the report, and there was no security breach on their end. Considering that she is with Magnum when they visit the crime scene that the police is still processing, it'd mean that the experts 'scrubbed' the computer doing a complete forensics analysis in an hour or so - assuming they did it on remote too, since obviously Robin Masters' team is not in Hawaii.(00:13:00)
Other mistake: During the opening credits, the writing "and Lance LeGault as Buck Green" appears. As shown by the name tag later in the episode, his character's last name is Greene with 3 Es.(00:06:50)
Other mistake: When Magnum asks Higgins a favour, she tells him that he already asked for one 'last week'. She repeats that later in the terrorist's car. With that being a reference to the previous episode, it means that her arm, literally pierced by a bullet and that she had in a sling, healed completely without as little as a bandage (she is even wearing a sleeveless dress!) in 7 days or so.(00:25:40)
Other mistake: Nuzo saved Magnum's life in Afghanistan, cauterizing with gunpowder a big deep wound that hit a blood vessel in his chest. Throughout the whole series, Magnum flaunts all the time his flawless torso, with no scars whatsoever.(00:20:40)
Other mistake: Travis built a special arm holster for a gun that allows him to pull a gun easily, popping it in hand while his arm is already outstretched. It's the weapon he prepared for in the iconic "You talkin' to me?" scene, and practices handshaking with it. We see a scene when he prepares to go kill the Senator cutting the sleeve of the shirt off. And yet, when the actual attempted hit is shown, Travis has his hand (the gun hand) inside his jacket, alerting security.(01:36:30)
Other mistake: After the weird scene with the dude in a wig, there's one quick display of all the various pages that talked about the viral video. One of those pages is written in Italian, but it's obviously machine-translated and/or not supervised by anyone speaking the language, since it contains multiple mistakes (including also an edit flub with the picture of the brothers on top of an article about medusae). Even the name of the magazine is certainly pretty bad for an Italian one; "Daily du Jour", which is French, not Italian.(00:14:15)
Other mistake: Mike and Dave put the ad on Craigslist, and people begin to share it through social media. The first time we see someone share it through Facebook the date of the post is "March 19 at 12:38 AM." Moments later there's a zoom in and now the date is still the 19th, still at 12:38 AM, but the month changed to May.(00:12:30)
Other mistake: In the close-up of the gun freshly printed, there's a bunch of molten plastic by the gun cylinder and the grip. Waikiki retrieves it right away, bare handed, and the bed is completely clean too.(01:03:25)
