Continuity mistake: After the Peary financier says "The Aurora will not reach the meteorite", the scene cuts back to the Aurora sailing through a storm. In this shot, the name "Aurora" is visible on the side of the side. Yet by the end of this scene, and the camera is in front of the boat, the name "Aurora" isn't visible on the front of the ship. Continuity mistake: A soldier guarding the hotel picks up a smashed light bulb with 1cm of glass on the edge. Shot cuts and there is now about 4cm of glass on the edge. The smashed glass around the bulb also disappears. (00:35:30)

Continuity mistake: When Tintin and Haddock walk through a corridor with two drunk men, Tintin opens a door. The key hole on the door is blue. For a few frames, the key hole becomes brown, then back to blue again. As he closes the door, the key hole is once again brown for a couple of frames. (00:34:50)

Continuity mistake: When Haddock starts to fall out of the helicopter, he tugs on a seat belt. The wall around the seat belt is red. In the next shot, the wall is blue. Then when Haddock gets back into the helicopter, the wall is brown. (00:28:55)

Continuity mistake: As Tintin, Haddock and Snowy are running whilst being shot at, Snowy is holding Calculus's umbrella with his teeth. The handle is facing the right as this happens. However, when they are shown in the helicopter, Snowy is suddenly seen holding the umbrella with the handle facing the left. (00:28:25)

Continuity mistake: Snowy finds a bone. He bites down on the middle of it. When Tintin takes the bone off him a few seconds later, Snowy is suddenly biting the near end of it. (00:01:15)

Continuity mistake: After killing all of the assassins, Frank places bullets in a frying pan and turns the stove on. When the bullets go off, the rest of the assassins start shooting at the house, destroying a snowman on Frank's porch. In all future shots of the porch afterwards, not only has the snowman disappeared, but there's also no sign of the snowman's remains either. (00:09:05)
