Magnum, P.I.

Thicker Than Blood - S1-E12

Audio problem: When Magnum is pushed against the metal shelves by TC, a big clunking sound is dubbed in, but you can see that the shelves and their content are not wobbled in the slightest and Tom Selleck jumped himself against them using his hands to impact in perfect safety. (00:36:40)

Lest We Forget - S1-E10

Audio problem: The young judge runs away from the guy he stabbed. He promptly then tells Diane "C'mon, get in the car, c'mon." Not only is the audio of different quality and dubbed later in studio, but Miguel Ferrer's lips don't move at all for the last part. (00:28:25)

Missing in Action - S1-E9

Audio problem: In the highlight reel that comes before the opening, Mac's computer does a scrambled electronic sound different than the cleaner bleeping sound used in the actual episode. (00:00:05 - 00:11:50)

Missing in Action - S1-E9

Audio problem: Magnum found Eric at the abandoned building. In their unlikely chase, at one point Magnum gets by a railing he ducks underneath to get - questionable - protection. If you look at the left of the frame, you can see the puff of smoke and debris that would imply a bullet being fired, but there's no audio for that. (00:28:50)

The Ugliest Dog in Hawaii - S1-E8

Audio problem: During the car chase, the evil boss says a line "Well, there ain't gonna be no witnesses now, so be a good boy and pull that piece and get ready to use it." recorded at higher volume and 'flat' as opposed to variation of the street noises, making obvious that it was dubbed in later. Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7

Audio problem: In the episode montage that precedes the opening theme, Rick does his fake sushi delivery man schtick ringing the doorbell. The sound of the doorbell there is a buzzing sound different from the one used later in the actual episode. Which also is a single neat two-tone sound, in contrast with Larry Manetti pressing the button multiple times. (00:00:30 - 00:37:40)

Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7

Audio problem: The first time Magnum goes to the Honolulu hospital, the first sound in the building consists of an announcement; "Janet Clark, please report to Maternity, Janet Clark." The announcement is repeated throughout the scene Magnum is in the doctor's office at night, just as he switches off the lamp on top of the filing cabinet (by the life preserver), Janet Clark is paged in maternity again. (00:12:25 - 00:34:15)

Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7

Audio problem: During the climax with Lena on the boat defending their action, from "They have no right to hunt us like animals" onwards the parts of dialogue with Hanna Landy are dubbed later and with a very inconsistent audio level. (00:45:40)

Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7

Audio problem: During the close-up of the photo held by Rick, Magnum's voice saying "Her right arm" is dubbed in with a marked difference from the rest of the conversation (added in post - perhaps to specify which arm, or originally the wrong one was mentioned and they corrected the mistake, but the artifact is strikingly noticeable). (00:39:50)

No Need to Know - S1-E5

Audio problem: The episode opens with a news report, which itself opens with the words; "In Belfast, Northern Ireland, where a bomb blast destroyed an office building last Tuesday, a special task force under the command of Brigadier General Alistair Folkes", etc. The report runs for a minute, then the phone rings and Higgins, off-camera, answers. The audio of the TV fades in and out to leave room to the relevant conversation, but you can still hear that it's going in a loop, repeating the exact sentence it started with and moving on from there word by word.
