Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Revealing mistake: While Magnum and Rick are driving to Greenberg's house, as Magnum shouts that they're not meddling, in this shot there's a bar with duct tape (device to secure side camera) over the Ferrari door beside Magnum's left arm, where the camera is located at this particular angle. (00:10:25)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Visible crew/equipment: While Magnum and Rick are with the body at Kessler's home, when Magnum says that it's not their style, the shadow of the boom mic is moving around behind Magnum. (00:38:25)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Continuity mistake: When Rick and Magnum figure out what really happened with the whole nazi business, the telephone spiral cord keeps going back and forth between shots. (00:39:45)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Continuity mistake: When Rick examines the old photo, he's holding it high, directly under the lamp, in the wide angle. In close-up he has it hovering merely an inch above the table. (00:39:40)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Audio problem: In the episode montage that precedes the opening theme, Rick does his fake sushi delivery man schtick ringing the doorbell. The sound of the doorbell there is a buzzing sound different from the one used later in the actual episode. Which also is a single neat two-tone sound, in contrast with Larry Manetti pressing the button multiple times. (00:00:30 - 00:37:40)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Audio problem: The first time Magnum goes to the Honolulu hospital, the first sound in the building consists of an announcement; "Janet Clark, please report to Maternity, Janet Clark." The announcement is repeated throughout the scene Magnum is in the doctor's office at night, just as he switches off the lamp on top of the filing cabinet (by the life preserver), Janet Clark is paged in maternity again. (00:12:25 - 00:34:15)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Continuity mistake: After the cliffhanger with Higgins pointing his gun at someone and seemingly unaware that that someone has a backup, it's time to show Magnum again that is rushing back home saying in voiceover how worried he is. Slightly undermining the severity of the predicament is the fact that in that particular shot and just there, he's driving with no pants on. (00:28:50)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Audio problem: During the climax with Lena on the boat defending their action, from "They have no right to hunt us like animals" onwards the parts of dialogue with Hanna Landy are dubbed later and with a very inconsistent audio level. (00:45:40)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Continuity mistake: Rick and Magnum spot the ambulance carrying someone away from Saul's home, and so they run out of the car to check what happened. Rick does not shut the car door, they go then straight into the Greenbergs' house, but when they come out, the Ferrari has both doors closed. (00:10:45 - 00:11:50)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Revealing mistake: Magnum catches the boat that already sailed away through a great feat, leaping from the pier. The editing trick is fairly obvious; the stuntman's leap is not quite reaching, headed to a platform we can spot at the bottom. But it cuts then to Tom Selleck who with a true airwalking prodigy connects right with the top of the railing, pulling himself aboard. (00:43:25)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Audio problem: When Magnum chases the boat that is taking off, he shouts something to Rick about the coast guard with Tom Selleck's lips not moving. (00:43:15)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Audio problem: During the close-up of the photo held by Rick, Magnum's voice saying "Her right arm" is dubbed in with a marked difference from the rest of the conversation (added in post - perhaps to specify which arm, or originally the wrong one was mentioned and they corrected the mistake, but the artifact is strikingly noticeable). (00:39:50)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Continuity mistake: When Magnum switches on the table lamp inside Dr. Bernard Kessler's study, the pencil is on the left side of the green blotter. In close-up it sits on the right of the pad. (00:34:25)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Revealing mistake: The day for night filming is particularly obvious at the entrance fence, and when the two mysterious guys try are kneeling outside of the house wondering how many people they have to deal with, with just 4 shots; you can see perfectly white clouds. It's even worse later in the episode when the Ferrari stops in front of the doctor's house; you can literally see the sun shine reflected by the car and the wet asphalt throughout the whole scene. (00:26:15)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Continuity mistake: When Magnum runs into Saul and Lena's home, the shadow of the hedge covers the whole steps. They stay inside less than a minute, and when Rick stands there wondering how's gonna break the news gently, the hedge shadow reaches barely half the width of the steps. (00:11:10)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Continuity mistake: Look when Magnum and Rick in front of the shirt shop begin to get out of the car. Before the cut, passersby enter in frame, and are gone in the next shot. (00:09:10)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Continuity mistake: Rick and Magnum see an ambulance in front of Saul's home. There's a guy walking down the street, exactly on a curb cut. The Ferrari races by him, and yet in the next shot the guy with his relaxed stroll is several meters forward. (00:10:35)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Continuity mistake: In the close-up where Rick giggles at Magnum after he got smacked, his pen is in his left hand. Next shot and he's writing with his right hand. (00:06:05)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Continuity mistake: In the first scene with Saul Greenberg outside his store, the same woman with blonde hair and a yellow top and blue pants passes behind him at least three times. (00:04:00)
Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7
Continuity mistake: When the Mercedes gets close to the shop (as the two occupants themselves say), it cuts to a closer angle, but the passersby change during this cut (the woman with a purple dress jumps 15 meters ahead, the people past the carpet store are different, etc). (00:03:30)
