Continuity mistake: When Magnum drops the ring out of the envelope, nothing is near it as it's shaking. In the close up shot, it's next to keys. (00:44:20)
Continuity mistake: For the first episodes (minus the plot), the opening of the series features the Ferrari with two different license plates. The opening shot shows the ROBIN-1 vanity plate that is in every episode but not in the most well known version of the opening (with the iconic Mike Post theme music used in all the other seasons), and the following shows the license plate from the pilot.

Continuity mistake: Inside his study when he talks with Magnum explaining the radiographs to him, Higgins is wearing trousers. Interrupted by the intercom, Higgins then goes outside with the intent to shoo off TC and the "juvenile delinquents", but does so wearing shorts. (00:12:40 - 00:14:20)
Continuity mistake: The plane at the beginning of the episode stops with the propeller at 7:05. When Louise DeBolt walks past the propeller to get in the cockpit, the propeller is at 11:25, and goes back to 7:05 next time it's shown. (00:02:10 - 00:03:10)
Continuity mistake: During the rescue escape, while Magnum is carrying Higgins on his back, Higgins has handcuffs around his wrists. Each of the locked wrist cuffs have a single and double bar, and during the span of the rescue these cuffs switch direction and face the opposite way around Higgins' wrists, which is impossible.
The Curse of the King Kamehameha Club - S1-E11
Continuity mistake: While Magnum is at the morgue he ends up being interviewed and filmed by Christine. There's a closeup of the TV set which is broadcasting Magnum's interview, then it cuts to a wide shot of the TV set as Higgins clicks the TV off in annoyance. The two TV sets in the closeup and wide shot are completely different.

Continuity mistake: When Rick exits Robin's Nest in the pool service van, there's a closeup of Michael and Steve waiting in their car. Michael is in the driver's seat and he's wearing a dark plaid shirt, but when Rick's van gets cut off the driver of the car is wearing a solid white shirt. (00:41:15)

Continuity mistake: When Magnum picks up Algie while driving the Jimmy, Sharon is wearing a white blouse with a floral design, then during the following chase she's still wearing the same style blouse, but the floral pattern on Sharon's blouse changes. (00:17:10 - 00:31:20)

Continuity mistake: When Magnum, Sharon, and Algie are driving in the Jimmy, the rearview mirror appears and disappears depending on the angle of the shot. (00:18:00)
Continuity mistake: While Magnum is at Erin's place he watches Erin's videotapes, and the TV set he uses changes style between wide shots and the TV's closeups, during the requisite scenes. (00:21:25)
Continuity mistake: While Magnum is at Erin's place, when he pops in the videotape of "acting class winter 1974" the VHS machine atop the TV is entirely silver on its top in this and a following closeup (also note there's black tape covering the machine's brand name). However, in other shots the machine is black and silver on top, which is even more noticeable in another closeup after Magnum shows David the videotape of Erin with the shotgun. (00:22:05 - 00:25:45)
China Doll - S1-E3
Continuity mistake: When Magnum and TC are in the chopper headed to Kauai with the passengers in the back, Magnum's microphone is attached to the helmet on his left side, but in a couple of closeups from behind Magnum his mic is attached to the right side (not flipped shots). (00:07:25)
Continuity mistake: When Rick is helping Magnum after the swim session, he's putting the sock on him twice (although he did not finish the first) and the shoes on the ground are in radically different positions between shots. (00:39:45)
Continuity mistake: When Magnum protests that TC is "killing him" with his too much vigorous toweling, TC is wearing his baseball hat backwards, while it's worn normally in the previous and following shot. (00:39:20)
Continuity mistake: Magnum leaves the first checkpoint with the number on his back that covers entirely TC's sponsor logo - later in the race though he wears a different race bib that puts the logo on display. (00:40:15)
Continuity mistake: At the checkpoint after the swimming section, Magnum has to get out of the speedo and put on dry running shorts. He does so, but in the shot where Rick is powdering his feet and putting socks on him, he's still wearing the wet speedo. (00:39:40)
Continuity mistake: Barbara Terranova is biking behind Magnum when the golden teeth man and his buddy stop her. She screams "Magnum!"; look at the sweatstain on his back. When a few moments later he runs in to beat up the aggressors, the stain got smaller, or rather, oddly narrower, not being as wide on the neck of the shirt as before. (00:23:00)
Continuity mistake: TC is trying to convince Magnum at the beginning of the episode, and tells him "Bet you can do it." Ten seconds pass and there's a new reaction shot on him laughing at Rick's little Higgins impression. Thing is, those few seconds a large ship that was present in all the other previous shots disappeared at the horizon all of a sudden, and there are fresh slipstreams showing that it is a much earlier or later take. (00:03:05)
Continuity mistake: Babs tells Roger "He's a private investigator" pointing at him with the same hand she had on his shoulder, and that is still there in the reverse shot. (00:31:40)
Continuity mistake: Babs finally produces a picture with Roger. In close-up, Magnum is holding it by the corner, while he had his hand at the bottom in the first shot. (00:25:20)
