Plus one is the loneliest number - S5-E5
Revealing mistake: The scene where Charlotte is shown sleeping with her new 'plus one' to the next morning was all filmed in entirely one sequence, real time, without any editing. Therefore, Charlotte had to change really quickly into her lingerie, and get into position for the morning shot in a very short period of time. As the camera pans away from Charlotte taking off her clothes at night, there is a mirror on the wall behind her. If you look closely at the mirror, Charlotte appears to fall over quickly, and then suddenly roll/move to the right side and get off of the bed, as if to change into her morning outfit. (00:13:05)

Revealing mistake: When Samantha is walking down a busy NYC street talking on her cell to Carrie, you can see a man in a blue jacket walking right behind her. The next shot of him; he suddenly pulls out an obvious black camera and takes a photo, aiming it directly at Samantha in front of him. This is apparently not an 'extra', but someone on the street who wanted to take a picture of Kim. There are also a lot of other people in the background walking behind her at this point. But in the next shot of Samantha still walking on the same street and talking on the phone, there are suddenly no people right behind her at all. It's an empty space, and no time has passed for them to have dispersed. They may have cleared the area behind her; because people weren't behaving properly during filming, such as the man taking her picture. This would normally be a continuity error; except that in this case I believe the sudden change in background was due to the guy taking the picture inappropriately, not just a slip in background filming. Revealing mistake: When Carrie and Berger are walking out of the park, you can see Sarah Jessica Parker's 'baby bulge' noticeably in her abdomen. Her dress doesn't cover it up. (00:06:05)
Continuity mistake: Carrie is trying to drive a car up a hill and a grey car drives close to them very slowly. When the car is side by side to Carrie, the shot changes to a wide angle and the grey car has vanished.
Plot hole: When Carrie sits down to read Aiden's 'farewell letter,' she discovers he has left her legal papers instead. Miranda later examines the legal documents, and explains the terms at the restaurant. But Aiden has only just moved out that day, and had spent the previous night in the apartment next door. (This was made clear in the previous episode, when Carrie explains in voiceover that 'the next day, Aiden moved out'.) He has spent the day moving his things out; there is no logical way he would have had time to contact a legal firm, make an appointment, go to the appointment, make arrangements to deal with Carrie's apartment, and have complex legal documents drawn up and ready to give to Carrie. None of this could have possibly happened between the night before when Aiden decided to end the relationship, and the next day when he physically moved out. No additional time has passed, as Carrie asks him to stay 'one more day', implying this really is the day after the previous episode. (00:04:25)
Continuity mistake: When Carrie and Shaun are laying on the floor of her bedroom, she has her left hand resting on her chest. But in the very next shot; her left arm is laying across her stomach, and her left hand is curved around her right waist. No time has passed in between these shots. (00:12:25)
Hot child in the city - S3-E15
Deliberate mistake: Whenever Charlotte and Trey are shown sitting on the therapist's couch, Charlotte is considerably taller than Trey. They are both sitting on exactly the same surface, so there is no logical reason for this. In reality, Trey is actually taller than Charlotte. She should not be sticking up higher than him on the couch.
Revealing mistake: When Charlotte is putting her diamond ring on in her apartment, there is a close-up shot of it. It is a large, circular diamond on a simple golden band. This is not the same diamond engagement ring she has been wearing previously in the series. That ring had two parallel silver bands, and the diamond looked slightly different. (00:10:10)
Audio problem: When Charlotte is talking to a man at the Playboy Mansion, the camera is on her and in the middle of her line cuts to him, while you still see her in the left corner. Though her line continues, she's not moving her lips.
Plus one is the loneliest number - S5-E5
Revealing mistake: Carrie is wearing a lot cut dress; and Sarah Jessica Parker's pregnancy is again very noticeable at this stage as her chest is filled out, and considerably larger than normal. (00:11:00)
Coulda, woulda, shoulda - S4-E11
Continuity mistake: Carrie is sitting at her laptop eating a blue ice pop. She takes a bite from the top then holds the stick with the rest of the ice pop in between her teeth while she types on the laptop, we see a shot of the screen. When we go back to Carrie she is eating the rest of the ice pop which is impossible because just 2 seconds before it was still attached to the stick. She didn't have time to bite it off the stick because she was using both her hands to type.
Continuity mistake: When Carrie gets to the WB Studios and stops at the guard's place, the image alternates between close and wide shots. The cars and people surrounding Carrie are totally different depending on the shot.
Continuity mistake: The people walking behind Trey and Charlotte close to Tiffany's is totally different in the side angle, than in the front shot - check out the African-American woman, for example.
Continuity mistake: After Samantha reads Big's birthday note, her cup of coffee swaps between being next to her mouth to flat on the table, depending on the angle.
Continuity mistake: When Carrie and the Vogue editor are drinking martinis in his office, the level of liquor in their glasses changes from shot to shot.
Anchors away - S5-E1
Continuity mistake: When we first see the 3 sailors walking down the NYC street, they are in a close-up shot that cuts off about where their knees would be. But the next shot of them as Miranda turns around; the sailors are much further away, showing all of them. Then for the final shot; the sailors are closer as they would be normally, but still not as close as the first shot. Their feet are still not showing. (00:04:20)
Secret sex - S1-E6
Continuity mistake: Carrie and her friends are in the City, waiting for the bus with her photo on it to drive by. When it does, there is a shocking hand-drawn image of a sexual nature near her head on the poster. In the next shot of this image, which is more of a close-up; it's a different drawing. Very similar, but obviously not the same drawing as shown the first time. (00:19:00)
Plot hole: When Carrie is sitting on the kitchen table after Aiden ices her legs, they begin to kiss. As they lean back over the table; Carrie stretches her legs out and wraps them around Aiden, rubbing them against him several times. She has just been painfully burned on her legs, but suddenly has no problem rubbing the burned areas against his waist without any pain, problems or hesitation. She is acting as if she was never burned; but the skin would have still been tender, and it would have hurt to brush it against Aiden in that manner. (00:26:45)
Anchors away - S5-E1
Revealing mistake: During the scene when the girls are walking down the street, 'strutting' fully dressed up on their way to the Navy party, look behind them in the distance. There appears to be a great crowd of people gathered behind what might be a barrier. These look like people just watching the filming. This is more clear at the very beginning of the scene, when the girls first begin walking down the street. Also, in the TBS web site in the episode guide, there is a photo of this very same scene shot from a different side angle. You can see a definite barrier on the sidewalk to the left, filled with onlookers who are watching the filming. Thus, it's possible that the people in the rear visible in the show, are the same.
