Corrected entry: When Elizabeth's horse takes the bad fall, Maryellen tells them it has a broken hoof. So they put the horse down instead of taking it to a nearby vet for help.

Jackpot! (2024)
Corrected entry: When Noel and Katie are being chased by the motorcycles, he tells her to put on the helmet, which is yellow. Then, when he is in the backseat of the car fighting, he asks her to hand him the helmet, and when she does, it is now red. (00:29:21 - 00:34:06)

Glory (1989)
Corrected entry: Matthew Broderick is believed to be related to Robert Shaw, the character he played in the film.
Correction: Matthew Broderick is not at all related to "Robert Gould Shaw," the character he portrayed in the film, Glory (1989). In 2010, Broderick appeared on an episode of NBC's "Who Do You Think You Are?" and his lineage was traced. Broderick's paternal great-great-grandfather, Robert Martindale, fought in the Union Army at the Battle of Gettysburg. As an aside, Robert Gould Shaw's sister, Susanna Sarah Shaw, married Robert Bowne Minturn; then their daughter, Sarah Mary Minturn, married Henry Dwight Sedgwick. One of Susanna Sarah Shaw's descendants is her great-great-granddaughter, Kyra Sedgwick.

The Curse of the King Kamehameha Club - S1-E11
Revealing mistake: Rick is leaving the club, or at least the kitchen. In Larry Manetti's close-up, the background shows various detergents with the label flipped in a mirrored shot. (00:15:45)
Suggested correction: This is not a mirrored shot; no label is flipped. The brand name "Ajax" (all lowercase letters as "ajax") on all three of the cleansers is not backwards; neither is the Pan Dandy soap jug in the sink. And the scars on Larry Manetti's face are in their proper places. Rewatch, please.

The Healing - S1-E5
Corrected entry: Olive wears a gold wedding band on her left hand, though she's single.
Correction: Olive is not a "single" woman, she's a widow who still wears her wedding ring. In the prior episode "Epidemic" (S1xE2), when Loren Bray's sister returns to town she introduces herself to Michaela as Olive Davis (her maiden name is Bray), and is fondly referred to as Miss Olive. When Michaela goes to examine Emily, Olive Davis states that her own husband had died. Olive's ring is visible in other episodes as well.

First Wives Club (1996)
Corrected entry: When the three ladies are trying to sneak out of Morty's house Annie has glasses on. In the next shot when they are about to climb into the window cleaning contraption she doesn't have glasses on. Next shot they are back on again.
Correction: Please rewatch. Annie looks over the banister and it cuts to a shot of the street below the scaffold. Then Annie lets out a blood-curdling scream and as she throws her head back, pay attention, because the bridge/rims of her glasses have been thrown upwards to the top of her forehead, and within this same shot as she turns her body, the eyeglasses bridge/rims fall downward back onto her nose, right before Brenda grabs Annie's coat lapel. Annie's glasses never vanish.

Almost Famous (2000)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Penny overdoses, she's wearing calf-high tan boots. She falls over on the couch and dances with William while wearing them. When the doctor rushes in and forces her to vomit in the tub, however, her boots are suddenly gone.
Suggested correction: Penny is not wearing her boots when she dances with William, she is barefoot. Her boots are not "suddenly gone" at all. Note Penny falls backward onto the couch and rolls onto the floor. William phones the front desk for the doctor, then William helps Penny stand up (01:30:05). It cuts to several shots at the graduation. Then, when it cuts back to William helping Penny dance and stay alert, Penny is quite barefoot here (01:30:40). William had removed Penny's boots while offscreen, during the graduation shots. Rewatch, please.

First Wives Club (1996)
Corrected entry: When Brenda is reading the card from Cynthia, the camera shows a shot of the card and it is written to Annie, not Brenda. Annie's name appears several times.
Correction: While Elise has a cleansing mask on her face, when she looks down at the mail pile on her floor we see the 1st of Cynthia's mailed envelopes, addressed to Elise. It cuts to a closeup of the 2nd of Cynthia's mailed envelopes, addressed to Brenda, and Brenda opens her envelope, gasps as she reads silently. It then cuts to the 3rd of Cynthia's mailed letters - a closeup of Annie's hands holding the letter addressed to her, as she reads and says "omg." Then, there are a few shots of all 3 women, each silently reading their own Cynthia letters. At 00:33:43, Annie reads aloud to her mother, part of her own letter from Cynthia. Please, rewatch this scene, there are no continuity issues whatsoever.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023)
Continuity mistake: After Freddy gets bullied by the high school jocks and returns to talk to Anthea, he leaves his locker door open to walk her to class. When the camera pans around, his locker door is closed. (00:24:47)
Suggested correction: Freddy's own locker is 4th from the right - he shuts it at the start of the scene. Just as Anthea says, "You knew those guys were gonna hit you," note the ginger-haired girl in an orange sweater is at her open locker, 2nd from the right, and Freddy walks over. As Freddy says, "That's how I amuse myself," we see the ginger girl standing patiently behind Freddy while he uses *her* open locker (she has a blue floral lei hanging inside) to unbend his crutch. When Freddy says, "Walk you to class? No. Why would I wanna do that? YES!" we see the ginger girl ready to get her locker back. She closes her locker while offscreen in the next shot. Then in the next shot, as the camera faces Freddy and Anthea, in the background we see ginger girl standing at her now closed locker. Rewatch this scene, please. There is no continuity problem.

The Sopranos (1999)
Corrected entry: At the gravesite of Livia Soprano, the cast is dressed in black, but there is a man in a light green shirt to the side of the casket in front of the cast who is out of place. (00:39:16)
Correction: This man is cemetery staff, lowering the casket into the grave. Watch as this scene continues, right after Carmela says, "He won't discuss it, he clams up," we can see this man at the bottom right corner of the screen, turning the lever for the casket lowering device as it descends into the grave (00:39:30).

I Love Lucy (1951)
The Benefit - S1-E13
Revealing mistake: There's suddenly an upright piano in the living room where Ricky's desk used to be.
Suggested correction: There's nothing sudden about it. The rearranging of furniture between episodes occurs often, and would only be a problem if it happens within a scene. From the very start of this episode, the card table is already at the center of the living room, with the couch pushed back toward the wall, and the desk is behind the couch (holding telephone, etc), up against the wall where the piano usually is in other episodes. Ethel asks Ricky about the sheet music on the piano, and he explains he's been working on a musical number for the show at the Tropicana. So, for this episode's ongoing musical storyline, the positions of the piano and desk have been switched. Nothing whatsoever makes it a revealing mistake. This occurs again a few episodes later in Breaking the Lease.

I Love Lucy (1951)
Continuity mistake: When Lucy buys back her coffee table, Ethel and Fred move it to the kitchen in the Mertz's apartment. The door to the Mertz's kitchen (with its doorknob on the right) in this episode opens the opposite way, inward towards the inside of the kitchen, and not outward in the direction of the living room, as seen in all previous and following episodes, including the very next episode. (00:17:55)
Suggested correction: The kitchen is a double hinged "saloon style" door. The door opens both ways, just like in a restaurant and most kitchens of the era. This is evident in many episodes.
You're confused. Rewatch the episode, please. Your correction is describing the Ricardo apartment; it's Ricky and Lucy who have the kitchen with that swinging door, which you describe as "double hinged saloon style" that opens both ways. This mistake is actually referring to the Mertz's apartment, and their door leading to their own kitchen is a standard door with a doorknob and it always opens only one way - outward into the living room. It's only in this specific episode the Mertz's kitchen door is attached to the door jamb differently, and it opens inward into the kitchen. The mistake is absolutely valid.

2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)
Corrected entry: When they are racing down the interstate to the impound lot, the red Mustang tries to go between the semi-trucks. When the trucks swerve to close the gap at the back tires, it's not the Mustang, it's a white boat on a trailer.
Correction: After Roman says, "Why must I chase the cat," three shots later there's a wide shot facing the 3-lane highway ahead of Roman, as he changes lanes (00:31:00). The pickup towing the trailered boat is in the left lane, the semi with red cab is in the center lane, and the yellow semi is in the right lane. When the driver of the red Mustang drives toward the semi-trucks, we still see the trailered boat in the left lane (left side of the screen), with the red cab semi-truck swerving from the center lane into the left lane (00:31:17). After a shot of both semi truckers (00:31:24), at the start of the next shot we see the red Mustang in the background (00:31:25), it's from the POV of the trailered boat in its left lane (right side of the screen), with the red cab semi still crossing over the lines from its center lane into the trailered boat's left lane. Then it cuts to an overhead shot as the red Mustang enters between the 2 semi-trucks (00:31:27), in the center and right lanes. In following pileup shots, we see the pickup and its trailered boat on the grass median strip (00:31:50).

The Godfather: Part II (1974)
Corrected entry: When a young Vito is sitting on the steps with his family during the parade there is one child missing. We know Michael is sitting on Vito's lap. Connie is on Carmella's lap. So either Fredo or Sonny is missing in this scene. (02:05:25)
Correction: That's Fredo on Carmela's lap. I can see why he would be mistaken for a girl, though. Michael is the baby on Vito's lap, and we know Connie is younger than Michael...therefore, she wasn't born yet. So all three boys are accounted for.
Michael is the youngest child of their 4 children. I was wondering where the fourth child is, but looked it up, and Michael is the youngest of the family.
I don't know where you looked it up, but that info is wrong. The youngest is Connie (Constanzia) Corleone, and she's Carmela and Vito's only daughter. After Fanucci is shot during the Feast of San Gennaro scene, Vito returns to his family and when he picks up the infant, he whispers to him in Sicilian, "Michael, your father loves you very much" (02:05:40). At this point, Connie hasn't been born yet. Later in the film, when Vito and Carmela visit the town of Corleone in Sicily, now we see all 4 children are with them. Carmella holds infant Connie, and Vito holds little Michael (02:44:00).

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)
Corrected entry: When Ron's dad enters the house, the top of his pointed hat clips right through the bottom of the window frame.
Correction: The hat's pointed tip does not clip right through the window frame. Arthur's hat has soft yet firm material, and it's bendable, so the tip bends backward as it hits the window frame, then it springs right back up. Perhaps rewatch this scene and play it in slow motion. Here's a link to a scene clip, with the relevant shot at 00:01:54 - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUl4amon00E.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999)
Corrected entry: An ambulance, when Kathy Stabler gives birth to the baby, Olivia says the baby's a girl. In the hospital, when Elliot gets to Kathy's table's room, she tells him the baby's a boy.
Correction: Olivia never says the baby's a girl. Rewatch, please. In the ambulance, when Kathy is in the midst of the last few pushes to get the baby out, Olivia is watching the delivery over Kathy's shoulder, being supportive. With Kathy's last push, Olivia repeats, "Good girl, good girl," which is directed at Kathy to encourage her pushing during her delivery (timecode 00:39:20). Then, when the baby is out, Olivia excitedly exclaims, "It's a boy!"

Sliders (1995)
Corrected entry: Professor Arturo is recruited to be the Mayor of San Francisco. When you see the dinner scene, they are drinking beer and munching on chicken wings. He comes back to his compatriots and states he had a dinner with champagne, caviar, veal cordon bleu, and crepe suzettes. What? It does nothing to contribute to the plot. (00:11:35 - 00:13:10)
Correction: It has to do with bolstering his own ego (usually overblown). So, Arturo fibbed and he played it up by describing his own idea of an expensive dinner (imo, pitchers of beer and hot wings sound better), which he was treated to by the other men, in order to woo him into the running.
I can see that. Thanks.

Peppa Pig (2004)

George Catches a Cold - S2-E20
Continuity mistake: When Peppa and her family come inside the house because of the heavy rain, the door behind Daddy Pig is open. But a few seconds later, the door is closed. (00:01:01)
Suggested correction: This doesn't occur between shots, and the 2 screenshots are not consecutive changes. The "few seconds later" is an 8-second close-up of George as he begins to sneeze, and the front door is not visible. Within those 8 seconds off-screen, there's time for the door to be closed and to set aside the two umbrellas.

Splash (1984)
Continuity mistake: When Madison runs from the ice-skating she is barefoot. In the next shots she magically has managed to bring her shoes and has put them on.
Suggested correction: Right before Madison rushes away from the ice rink (01:10:10), she grabs her ballerina flats, and when she runs away from Allen, she's barefoot while holding the flats in her left hand. Then, the skate rental guy tackles Allen. When it cuts to Madison in the shot facing her back, she's still running barefoot while holding the flats in her right hand.

Correction: This episode takes place in 1945. We see Mary Ellen look toward the mare's front (not hind) legs/joints, which are weight bearing; and when Mary Ellen tells Elizabeth about her mare, Molly, Mary Ellen's actual words are, "Elizabeth, it's her leg. It's broken. It's bad. We're gonna have to put her out of her misery." Viewers are not shown what Molly's "bad" break is, but with Mary Ellen's words, we know the break is severe, which was a death sentence for any horse. Just to add, it all completely depends on the location of the equine injury and the severity of the break/fracture. Nowadays, with modern advancements in equine veterinary care, (thankfully!) some severe breaks may not be a death sentence for a horse.
