Iron Eagle IV (1995)

Revealing mistake: Supposed to take place in Georgia, but all aircraft are registered in Canada. The film was shot in Canada.

Defying Death - S1-E2

Stupidity: The Chief Baker on the Titanic is fast asleep in his bunk when the ship hits an iceberg. It is said that he survived because he drank heavily prior to his going into the water. He had at least a full tumbler of alcohol. He is shown drinking it in two scenes. He is shown dressed in full white chef gear and even wearing a white chef kerchief. It seems stupid that he would wear such a thing if he had just been startled awake.

Defying Death - S1-E2

Other mistake: Ms. Herfkens is relating the final moments when the aircraft she was in crashed in the jungle. She is sitting to the left of her fiancée. After the crash, she states what happened after the crash. She states that she looked to her left and saw her fiancée still strapped to the seat. But if she was sitting to his left, as shown in the scene, she would have had to look to her right. Given that she is recounting an actual event, the scene showing her sitting to his left is wrong.

Distant (2024)

Factual error: Andy crashes on an uncharted planet, and his personal assistant says the atmosphere is 2% oxygen. This is over 90% less than the oxygen concentration on Earth. When Andy comes across his crashed and burning ship (the "Borealis"), the fire is burning just as brightly as it does on Earth. The fire should be shown as burning much lower due to the small amount of oxygen.

Continuity mistake: Klaatu spots a blood stain on his shirt at the right breast. When he asks Helen for a vial she has in an inner pocket, he applies the salve to a wound on his left breast, not his right.

Iron Eagle IV (1995)

Factual error: Col Sinclair's service cap has six clouds and lightning bolts ("farts and darts"). That hat is for general officers. A colonel should have four clouds and lightning bolts.

toroscan

Factual error: There are many Air Force uniform mistakes. Col. Sinclair has his pilot wings on the right chest instead of the left. He has enlisted "U.S." insignia. The Commanding General of the air base has his Brigadier General shoulder insignia on the edge of the epaulets. The Brigadier General star is worn centred on the epaulet.

She Was Killed by Space Junk - S1-E3

Question: Agent Angela Blake had to surrender her weapon to enter the funeral of Crawford. When a suicide bomber threatens the group, Blake shoots the bomber with a gun. Where did she get the gun?

toroscan

Answer: She likely had a hidden back-up weapon she didn't surrender. Many agents carry a second gun.

Good point. Thanks.

Continuity mistake: Coop is consoling Murph about his trip. His watch says 9:07. In the next shot, Coop pulls out another watch to give to Murph. But now both watches say 8:21.

The Return of Maggie Beckett - S5-E9

Other mistake: The group slides to Fresno, where there is a monument to Maggie Beckett and the astronauts that were lost on an Intrepid mission to Mars. On the memorial stone, her name is misspelled as Maggie Becket, not Beckett as everywhere else.

The Acolyte (2024)

Lost/Found - S1-E1

Factual error: A mechanic is outside the ship repairing the shields. A fire starts, and the fire burns just as it would in an atmosphere. Impossible in the vacuum of space.

Lucy (2014)

Continuity mistake: A German drug mule is shot by a Taiwanese drug dealer. By the way his head moves backward, you would think he was shot in the head. When he falls, we see no bullet wound anywhere.

Context is for Kings - S1-E3

Factual error: Science Officer Tilly calls the planet Trill a "very big" planet. It has an area of 500 million square kilometers. But that is not so large a planet. The Earth has an area of 510,100,000 square kilometers. So Trill is slightly smaller than Earth. Not really a "very big" planet.

toroscan

Factual error: The pilot of Air Force One, a Colonel, gets home. His shoulder insignias are turned ninety degrees from how they should be. In the next shot, it is corrected. Also, the "U.S." collar letters are at the wrong angle.

Constellation (2024)

Show generally

Factual error: Jo is re-entering the atmosphere. There is very hot plasma shown outside, typical of reentry. While this plasma is occurring, there is a communications blackout. Yet Jo seems to be able to communicate with Roscosmos control in spite of that.

Constellation (2024)

Show generally

Factual error: Col. Caldera is on a call on his computer. He is shown in his US Air Force blue uniform. At the beginning of the conversation he has no decorations or ribbons or badges on his uniform. Yet a little later, when we see him from inside the house (albeit with no pants below the uniform jacket!), he is shown with ribbons on the jacket. Further, he has a beard, which is not allowed by Air Force regulations. The only exceptions are with a religious exemption or with a waiver for medical shaving reasons.

toroscan

Factual error: Secret Service Agent Miles salutes the President inside of Air Force One and has the other hand on her hip. Secret Service agents do not salute. They are not military.
