Continuity mistake: When Matt is faking being ill to get out of school, Mrs. McGuire discovers he is not really ill. At one point through the day she suggests to Matt that they spin some yarn and she picks up a basket full of it. Yet in the next shot the position of the balls of yarn in the basket has completely changed. (00:38:35)

Continuity mistake: Miranda wears an outfit for Picture Day accompanied with two little fluffy hair-balls in the left side of her hair. However when Miranda spots Kate wearing the same outfit as her, you can tell the shot is flipped because the hair-balls have swapped sides. (00:33:05)

Continuity mistake: When Lizzie is in her room sorting out clothes, her Mum comes in and informs her that she can now go to the party. During the scene that follows with Lizzie and her Mum talking on the bed, Lizzie's necklace continues to hop in and out of her tee-shirt between shots. (00:18:00)

Continuity mistake: When Lizzie is at her locker, she is looking at the wishbead necklace that she and Miranda had made. The necklace is hanging from a peg inside the locker. She then spots Miranda with Kate and then closes the locker door, only now the necklace is missing from the peg. (00:15:50)

Continuity mistake: When the camera pans to an overhead shot of Lizzie lying on her bed, sulking about not being able to go to the party, look at the books opened on her bed. In the close up of her, when her Dad knocks at her door, the pages that the books were open at have now changed, as well as the books positions, and the way Lizzie has her arms folded as well. Continuity mistake: When Mrs. McGuire is on the phone talking about lying, Lizzie begins to argue that if she can lie, why can't she. In one shot Mrs. McGuire puts the phone down to her shoulder to cover the earpiece but in the next shot (from behind) she has the phone back up to her ear again. (00:12:55)

Audio problem: When Lizzie goes into the living room while her Mum is on the phone, she takes the remote control from Matt. We can then hear Matt shouting tales at Mrs. McGuire, but if you watch him his mouth isn't moving at all. (00:12:10)

Continuity mistake: When Kate is walking down the hallway towards Miranda and Lizzie, her bag strap lies perfectly diagonal against her chest. Yet in the next shot it hangs more vertically, at her side, then back to diagonally. (00:09:50)

Continuity mistake: When Mrs. McGuire walks over to check the calendar to see if the day of Lizzie's party is free, there is a green highlighter hanging under the picture of their Grandmother. Yet in the close up of the picture, the highlighter is missing, then back again. Also, the sheets surrounding the photo move positions. (00:07:15)

Continuity mistake: During the pool party discussion in the kitchen, Mrs. McGuire places the salt shaker down next to the pepper shaker. Yet in the next shot she is placing the shaker down once again, and the other shaker has now vanished. (00:06:30)

Visible crew/equipment: When Jan takes Hardenberg to the payphone in the town, as they enter the phone booth, the camera pans past. The payphone has large glass windows running down the side, which clearly reflect the cameraman and his equipment as he passes by. (01:33:05)

Continuity mistake: When Hardenberg is saying that he will have to make some phone calls so that his maid and wife dont worry about him, items on the breakfast table move between shots, and when Peter takes his gun out, Jules hands are down in her lap. But in her reaction shot, she is holding a knife up in the air, with jam dripping off it. (01:29:30)

Continuity mistake: When they arrive at the cabin, Peter leads Hardenberg into the bedroom and he lays him down and puts a large green blanket over him to sleep on. However the next morning when we see them sleeping, suddenly Hardenberg's blanket is mauve coloured with a white swirling pattern on it. (01:10:30 - 01:11:50)

Continuity mistake: When Jule is serving the table in the restaurant she works at, she has a tray with three pear brandys on it. She places two down on the table in one shot with the third still on the tray. However the third glass just disappears from her tray when the shot changes. (00:14:05)

Visible crew/equipment: When Jan, Jule and Peter are discussing what to do with Hardenberg, while he is tied to the excerise equipment and as they talk, during the scene the cameraman can be seen reflected in the glass door to the swimming pool a couple of times. For example when Jule says 'Maybe he won't talk' and Jan replies 'Are you crazy', you can see the cameraman during this exchange. (01:05:00)

Continuity mistake: When Peter pulls out of the apartment, the yellow curtains in the back of the VW bus are open. Later on during their drive, when they pull up onto the side of the road, they are now suddenly closed. Nobody ever went to the back to shut them. (00:11:00)

Continuity mistake: When Jule has found her phone she calls for Jan but then Hardenberg arrives home and catches her. He then wrestles her to the floor, so Jan comes and beats him off her. However, as he wrestles with Jule, her black woollen hat falls off onto the floor. But after Jan beats him off her it is back on her head firmly. (01:02:00)

Visible crew/equipment: When the rich family enter their house at the beginning of the film, as the camera pans around, past the white pillar, you can see the boom and its pole reflected, and moving around, in the marble mirror wall, as the father says 'the alarm is off.' (00:01:30)

Suggested correction: When Lizzie goes into the living room while her Mom is on the phone, she takes the TV remote away from Matt. We can then hear him shouting at Mrs. Mcguire until Lizzie tries to take her hand and place it over his mouth.
