Continuity mistake: After the dinner table scene, Bob leaves to go out with Frozone. Then Helen turns to talk to Dash. In the first shot, on Dash's plate all the brocoli pieces sit around the steak. Then the shot changes, a brocoli piece is suddenly sitting atop the piece of steak. (00:19:20 - 00:20:15)

Continuity mistake: In the tavern, which is the setting for the 'Gaston' song, right at the end of the bar there is a thick wooden beam attached to the bar and the ceiling. You can see this beam clearly when Le Fou sings "No-one's slick as Gaston...", and he prances around and then grabs the beam. However, right at the end of the Gaston song when they sing "So his marriage we soon will be celebrating...", the camera pans backwards out to the window, but the wooden beam has vanished. Audio problem: When Mrs. Potts is talking to Belle for the first time, in her bedroom, Mrs. Potts says "It'll turn out alright in the end. You'll see." However, when she says "...you'll see" her mouth remains closed. (00:30:50)

Continuity mistake: When Maurice is being chased by the wolves, he runs up to the gates of the Beast's castle and grabs the bars. You can see in a wideshot that he is holding the bars around the area of the patterned strip of the gate. However when it cuts to a closer view, and he pushes the gates open, he isn't holding the patterned strip of the gate, but just the normal bars. (00:12:35)

Continuity mistake: When Maurices invention explodes, Belle runs to the house and into the cellar. As she enters, you can see the area in front and around the stove/fireplace is empty. However after talking for a while, Belle says "...oh Papa, he's not for me" and sits down on a wooden stool which has suddenly appeared in front of the stove/fireplace. (00:08:45 - 00:09:45)

Continuity mistake: During the 'Gaston' song in the tavern, Gaston spits out a bit of belt which knocks a pot onto Le Fou's head, which gets stuck. When the pot strikes him and he falls to the floor, you can see there is no metal pole running across the bottom of the bar. In every other shot of the bar, there is a metal pole which runs across the bottom of it. (00:27:25)

Continuity mistake: In the newer version of the film, there has been a new song called "Human Again" added. When the little dog-like footrest runs across the hallway, chasing the cat-like cushion, he leaves black footprints all over the floor, and then he skids to a halt, leaving circular swerve marks over part of the floor. However when it cuts to an overhead shot, the line of footprints along the floor runs much shorter and there are now more sets of swerve marks. (00:57:25)

Continuity mistake: In the newer version of the film, there has been a new song called "Human Again" added. When standing at the foot of the stairs, Cogsworth replaces a cog in himself, opening his door, with the hinges on his right. All the other times he opens it though, the hinges are on the left. Continuity mistake: When Belle is trying to get up the stairs to the West Wing, and Cogsworth and Lumiere are trying to stop her, when Belle says "You have a library", you can see that Belle is standing six steps up from the foot of the stairs, and that Lumiere and Cogsworth are standing on the seventh step up from the foot. However when it then cuts, and they all start to climb back down the stairs, Belle is now on the third step up from the foot and Cogsworth and Lumiere are on the fourth. (00:42:05)

Continuity mistake: When Lumiere and Cogsworth are trying to persuade Belle not to go up the stairs to the West Wing, they start suggesting other places to go. When Lumiere says "..the gardens, or the library.." you can see that Cogsworth, Lumiere and Belle are all standing on the same step. Then when it cuts, Belle is standing on the step below Lumiere and Cogsworth. (00:42:05)

Continuity mistake: When Gaston flies into the muddy pond, Le Fou walks to the edge of the bank and right by the bank is a large bush of long green reeds. However when it cuts to a closeup of Le Fou saying "So, how'd it go?", the reeds have vanished. Reeds also apppear in the background, around the pond. (00:18:10)

Continuity mistake: Right at the beginning of the 'Gaston' song, LeFou sings "no-one slick as Gaston", and we see a man chatting to a lady by the bar, with a barstool right behind him. Then LeFou runs to him and whips off the mans belt, and now the barstool isn't there. (00:26:00)

Continuity mistake: In the "Be Our Guest" number, Mrs. Potts notices a large spot of dirt on her side. Then when the napkins wipe her, you can see the one large spot of dirt had turned into three small spots of dirt. (00:39:05)

Continuity mistake: After the Beast is stabbed, and is on the floor dying, Belle is at his side comforting him. In one shot her hand is stroking the left side of his face. It cuts and suddenly her hand is on the right side of his face. Then a few shots later, she puts her left hand on the right side of his face, but when the shot changes her hand is back to her side. Continuity mistake: When the Beast briefly dies at the end of the film, before being turned human, Belle cries and lays down on his chest, with her head resting on his red cape and her hand clutching it. However when it cuts to a closeup, Belle's head is suddenly resting further down, on his white shirt, and she is clutching the shirt now too instead of the cape. (01:17:35)

Continuity mistake: When the Beast takes Belle to the library, he opens the doors outwards. Then in the following overhead shot, you can see the doorway clearly, however the doors have vanished. (00:50:20)

Continuity mistake: The large front doors to the castle open inwards, as seen when Maurice and Belle enter the castle for their first time. However when Belle makes her deal with the Beast, to stay with him forever, the Beast takes Maurice outside, however he opens the doors outwards. (00:13:05 - 00:23:05)

Continuity mistake: Gaston wears a quiver in the scenes where he is after the Beast, and the brown quiver strap runs across his body over his red shirt. After Gaston stabs the Beast with his knife, the brown strap and quiver is still on. However it then cuts, and as he starts to fall, the brown strap of the quiver has gone. Then in the next shot the strap is back on, over his red shirt. (01:16:15)
