Continuity mistake: When Lavagirl sneezes on the bridge to the Ice Castle, she causes Sharkboy to fly across in the air and he ends up dangling from the side of the bridge. In this shot his back fin is completely gone. But instantly in the next shot it has reappeared again, fixed on his back. (00:49:30)

Continuity mistake: When Max, Sharkboy and Lavagirl are floating along on the giant cookie down the river of milk, it has white chocolate chunks in it. But when the Cookie Parents pick it up, they have all vanished. (00:38:30 - 00:40:00)

Continuity mistake: When Max throws his dream journal towards Linus in the classroom it falls on the floor by his desk, but in the next shot it has reappeared on the desk in front of Max! (00:16:40)

Continuity mistake: When Sharkboy and Lavagirl run out of Max's house and across the lawn, Lavagirl leaves burnt footsteps in the grass. When we see them again later, they are completely different. (00:04:30 - 00:13:30)

Continuity mistake: When Max, Sharkboy and Lavagirl are in front of Minus, Minus holds out Max's dream journal and it is upside down in his hand. In the next shot is it suddenly turned the right way up. (00:51:25)

Continuity mistake: When Lavagirl's hair is on fire due to her anger, Sharkboy splashes her hair to put it out. Between shots her wet hair instantly dries and becomes fluffy and neat. (00:57:30)

Continuity mistake: When Max finds the plate of burnt and eaten cookies, he picks up one with shark bites in it. When he picks it up again to show his mother, the bites are different. (00:09:55)

Continuity mistake: When Max, Sharkboy and Lavagirl on floating along on the giant cookie, Max dips his whole hand in chocolate and begins eating it. In the next shot his whole hand is free of chocolate and completely clean. (00:38:30)

Revealing mistake: When Sharkboy is running at a fast speed to get Lavagirl to the volcano, in one shot as he runs with her cradled in his arms, it is clearly not her, but a dummy. (01:07:25)

Continuity mistake: At the end of the scene in the kitchen where Max finds the eaten cookies, as he is walking back upstairs the carton of milk on the counter suddenly disappears between shots. (00:10:10)

Continuity mistake: When Mr. Electricidad tells his daughter Marissa to not go to recess, as she replies, and the Max talks with her, her plaited ponytail continues to swap from laying on her left shoulder, to hanging down her back. (00:15:25)

Continuity mistake: When Lavagirl is spraying Mr. Electric with lava, the position of her arms continues to change, from which one is outstretched and changing from being outstretched, to at her sides. (00:27:40)

Continuity mistake: After Max, Sharkboy and Lavagirl fly off of the giant cookie and into the slice of cake, they are covered in icing. Between shots the amount of icing all over Sharkboy, especially his face, changes. (00:40:20)

Continuity mistake: When Sharkboy is feeding the sharks on the dock at the beginning, there is a yellow canister behind him which disappears then reappears. (00:01:15)

Audio problem: When Max's mother is walking him down the path to school, in one shot as she says "Sorry, I didn't mean to dump all this on you right before school," her mouth is in shot and doesn't move to the audio. (00:14:05)

Continuity mistake: When Max goes downstairs and finds the plate of cookies and the carton of milk on the counter, the carton and the cookies on the plate keep moving and changing positions during the scene. (00:09:50)

Continuity mistake: When Sharkboy is feeding the sharks at the beginning, the third shark he feeds instantly disappears underwater between shots. (00:01:25)

Continuity mistake: After Mr. Electricidad tells Max off for talking to his daughter Marissa, as Max walks back to his seat Marissa's arms goes from crossed at her chest, to uncrossed with her left hand supporting her head. (00:16:00)

Continuity mistake: After Max, Sharkboy and Lavagirl fly off of the giant cookie that the Cookie Parents pick up, they land on a slice of cake. As Sharkboy slides down the side of the slice, he leaves a white trail on the piece. In the next shot it has vanished. (00:40:10)

Continuity mistake: When Sharkboy and Lavagirl storm into the classroom to find Max, between subsequent shots the items on Marissa's desk in particular, continue to shuffle around and change position. (00:17:20)
