Continuity mistake: While Virginia is alone with the butler, when she gets off the elevator she presses the ground floor button, and in this closeup she has long polished fingernails and is wearing a gold band on her right hand, but in other shots her nails are short and the ring on her right hand is entirely different. Continuity mistake: When Magnum takes the Audi to go after Buck, the Audi's rearview mirror disappears and reappears during the car chase. (00:33:00)
Continuity mistake: After Higgins finally agrees to Magnum's three month deal, when it cuts to the Ferrari driving down the street, the car easily drives forward into the huge space between two other parked vehicles, but in the next shot the blue vehicle parked behind the Ferrari is now much closer (note the parking meter), which would have made the Ferrari's previous maneuver impossible. Continuity mistake: During the rescue escape, while Magnum is carrying Higgins on his back, Higgins has handcuffs around his wrists. Each of the locked wrist cuffs have a single and double bar, and during the span of the rescue these cuffs switch direction and face the opposite way around Higgins' wrists, which is impossible.

Continuity mistake: While Magnum is at the morgue he ends up being interviewed and filmed by Christine. There's a closeup of the TV set which is broadcasting Magnum's interview, then it cuts to a wide shot of the TV set as Higgins clicks the TV off in annoyance. The two TV sets in the closeup and wide shot are completely different.

Continuity mistake: When Rick exits Robin's Nest in the pool service van, there's a closeup of Michael and Steve waiting in their car. Michael is in the driver's seat and he's wearing a dark plaid shirt, but when Rick's van gets cut off the driver of the car is wearing a solid white shirt. (00:41:15)

Continuity mistake: When Magnum picks up Algie while driving the Jimmy, Sharon is wearing a white blouse with a floral design, then during the following chase she's still wearing the same style blouse, but the floral pattern on Sharon's blouse changes. (00:17:10 - 00:31:20)

Continuity mistake: While Magnum is at Erin's place, when he pops in the videotape of "acting class winter 1974" the VHS machine atop the TV is entirely silver on its top in this and a following closeup (also note there's black tape covering the machine's brand name). Continuity mistake: When Magnum and TC are in the chopper headed to Kauai with the passengers in the back, Magnum's microphone is attached to the helmet on his left side, but in a couple of closeups from behind Magnum his mic is attached to the right side (not flipped shots). (00:07:25)
Continuity mistake: Serious matters of Little League espionage are discussed as TC accuses Magnum. When he says "They beat Taiwan" he has not a hand on the cooler full of Gatorade with badly camouflaged labels, but he does then, right at the cut. (00:05:40)

Continuity mistake: TC is working by the tail rotor to fix the vibration. It's red with thin white stripes. By the end of the episode the rotor is the opposite; white with red stripes. (00:06:40 - 00:44:20)

Continuity mistake: Magnum and the others push Higgins' makeshift boat into the sea. Water does not even reach Magnum's knees, but as Higgins keeps pontificating from the sinking vessel, Magnum is thigh deep in salt water, with splashes all over the crotch. (00:34:00)

Continuity mistake: In the opening shots, the helicopter is the N58243 one with flotation pads, but as soon as it starts malfunctioning, the pads thin up and we switch to the usual chopper. The skids change shape back and forth again once. (00:02:05)
Continuity mistake: The chopper takes off from Higgie's un-birthday party, looking as usual. It flies over a shore to thwart Holly's plan, and doing so it has the flotation skids from a different chopper's stock footage. It is therefore also missing the birthday banner, that is present again in the finale. (00:45:10)
