Continuity mistake: Archer Hayes shows Magnum the invite with the wrong time. He hands it with his right, which turns into the left in the reverse shot. (00:07:40)
Continuity mistake: The plane at the beginning of the episode stops with the propeller at 7:05. When Louise DeBolt walks past the propeller to get in the cockpit, the propeller is at 11:25, and goes back to 7:05 next time it's shown. (00:02:10 - 00:03:10)
Continuity mistake: During the paperboy run, TC stops the van and asks Benny a question. Benny was holding the paper vertically, but his arm is down in the next shot, and up again next, and so on. (00:32:40)
Continuity mistake: Magnum gets back to his pad and of course the kid everyone's looking for just crashed there. In the first shot, overhead, you can see that Magnum's coffee table features several magazines, and in the corner, at the same level, a bowl. Magnum fetches a can of beer and sits by Danny, but the magazines now are in a different line, with the bowl above them. (00:13:20 - 00:13:50)

Continuity mistake: During the poker game at the beginning, the positions of Robin and Buzz's cards change a few times - Buzz unveils his winning 4 Ks to the left of the deck, but it is to its right immediately after, and Robin's cards are on or a bit away from the table's border. (00:02:30)
Continuity mistake: Leaving the hospital magnum has a black eye on his right side. When he gets home it's on his left eye.
Continuity mistake: When Magnum is with Dave at the radio station requesting his help as an audio engineer, Magnum's wearing the white Polo Ralph Lauren safari animal print shirt, and when it cuts to Magnum at the security office at Lee's building, now the animal print pattern is different, though he's still wearing the same style shirt. Transitions - S8-E11
Continuity mistake: While Luther is wearing the red and black Hawaiian shirt with palm trees design, the shirt's pattern changes within Luther's scenes although the style of the shirt stays the same. It then reverts to the original pattern. (00:17:10)
Continuity mistake: When Magnum opens the package with the videotape, in the wide shot he puts it into the player and begins to watch on his TV, but in the closeups it's an entirely different TV. (00:18:00)
Continuity mistake: While Magnum and Sue are on the island, when Sue trips the booby trap there's a closeup of their feet and Sue is wearing tan dress shoes, but when the trapper comes out of hiding at Magnum's urging, Sue is wearing white sneakers. (00:35:10)
Continuity mistake: When Kaimi gives Magnum the address of the woman he's been asking about, Magnum is wearing the tan Polo Ralph Lauren shirt with the safari animal print, and when Magnum drives out to the woman's home, Magnum's shirt is still the same style, but the animal pattern is different. Continuity mistake: When Higgins states Walker's photo is a fake which confirms Magnum's suspicions, Magnum is wearing the white Polo Ralph Lauren shirt with the safari animal print. Then when it cuts to Magnum back at HPD handing Page the arrest report with the fake photo, the animal pattern on Magnum's shirt is entirely different, though he's still wearing the same style shirt. Continuity mistake: At the guesthouse, when TC is telling Magnum about his "modern coaching" videotaping technique, in the wide shot Rick is standing beside the TV with the VCR on top, but in the closeup it's an entirely different TV, with no visible VCR atop it. (00:12:20)
Infinity and Jelly Doughnuts - S8-E1
Continuity mistake: When Ron Templeton hands Magnum the manila envelope, in the shot facing Magnum as he pulls the photo out of the envelope, we can easily see the image from the back side of the photograph. In this shot the man in the photo is wearing a suit jacket, white shirt, tie, with nothing on his head, but in the next closeup of the photograph Quang Ki is wearing a uniform and cap. The same thing happens again later, when Magnum is in his VA hospital room. (00:32:30 - 00:36:30)
Continuity mistake: While Magnum is at Page's desk looking at the NYC arrest report, it cuts to Doheny at the estate as he opens his suitcase and lifts the gold picture frame. The problem is, in this shot the black easel back has been inserted within the gold frame upside down, note the frame's open end. Then in the next shot, the easel back is inserted properly within the frame. (00:33:00)
Continuity mistake: When Magnum answers the phone call from John Costa he's wearing the new shirt with a striped colorful pattern, which was a birthday present from his mother. During Magnum's introduction to Costa in the alley, the style of Magnum's shirt is the same, but the striped pattern has changed. Then the pattern changes again when Magnum returns home bruised. Continuity mistake: When Higgins and Del Haynes leave the house Higgins is wearing his camo vest and hat, which he wears throughout the episode until the end. Though the style of his hat and vest remain the same, the actual camouflage pattern on both the hat and vest changes. There are two different hats and three different vests. The changes even occur between shots, such as during the scene at the end when Higgins returns to the estate.
Continuity mistake: At Agent Estin's office, Bryant is wearing a plaid shirt with bold vertical pastel stripes, and pink stripes at the edges of his collar, but during the drive home in TC's van, the vertical stripes on Bryant's shirt have changed, though it still has the same pattern. Note the blue stripes at the edges of his collar. (00:06:30 - 00:08:40)
