Continuity mistake: Leaving the hospital magnum has a black eye on his right side. When he gets home it's on his left eye.
Continuity mistake: When Magnum and JL escape from Thompson's yacht, Magnum's black dress shoes become flat rubber bottomed shoes when the duo climb the rocky hills. Later, when he hears the chopper he puts on the dress shoes, then it reverts back to the other shoes again. (00:24:15 - 00:33:35)
Continuity mistake: While Virginia is alone with the butler, when she gets off the elevator she presses the ground floor button, and in this closeup she has long polished fingernails and is wearing a gold band on her right hand, but in other shots her nails are short and the ring on her right hand is entirely different. Continuity mistake: When Magnum takes the Audi to go after Buck, the Audi's rearview mirror disappears and reappears during the car chase. (00:33:00)
Continuity mistake: After Higgins finally agrees to Magnum's three month deal, when it cuts to the Ferrari driving down the street, the car easily drives forward into the huge space between two other parked vehicles, but in the next shot the blue vehicle parked behind the Ferrari is now much closer (note the parking meter), which would have made the Ferrari's previous maneuver impossible. Continuity mistake: Magnum is eating a banana and asking Rick to do his job for him. Rick says "Then you're not sure that this Lindsey guy knocked his partner off" and folds his arms, which are again extended as before after the cut. (00:27:25)
Continuity mistake: TC is taking plenty snapshots of Rick while he gets set for lunchtime at the club. In the wide angles the wind puffs up the tablecloths, while in TC is snapping away in close-ups with the cloth undisturbed. (00:23:00)
Continuity mistake: Magnum meets Florence Russell clearing out of the office. He tells her that they are looking for a place where to put the equipment, and she shrugs saying "It's allright." She had a frame in hand that disappears to the opposite side of the paper bags she had her hand on. (00:21:30)
Continuity mistake: The crazily intense security guard catches Magnum searching the desk and says " Take root and heist 'em." Magnum holds still in two different positions between shots.
Continuity mistake: The second model in the opening show, Wendy, wears a robe with a necktie that looks entirely different length and position-wise at the cut. (00:02:10)
Continuity mistake: The announcer is describing the first bikini. The model, seen through the screen, slips the cover-up robe in her left hand, but at the cut that hand is free and goes on her hip. When she makes her exit from the stage, the same robe goes from her hip to over her shoulder. (00:01:45)

Continuity mistake: During the conversation between Higgins and Rick and TC upon his arrival - when he recalls meeting Elmo on D-Day - the same cowboy extras walk about the premises, sometimes incoherently even between consecutive shots - look at the one with a red shirt far off in the background, going opposite directions as Higgins pronounces the words "During the war" across a cut. Continuity mistake: Higgins steps foot on his brother's traveling show, and spots two familiar faces. "I say, are you both joining the band?", he asks. Rick's neck handkerchief has a bit inside his open shirt, but it's out in the next shot. (00:29:45)

Continuity mistake: Magnum tries to pull Elmo's moustache; Elmo pulls a gun on him in the first shot, and doing so tips the bottle of Tabasco over. In the side view with his daughter intervening, the bottle is still standing, and in the rest of the scene it is again resting on the table, but turned around 90° compared to before. (00:14:35)

Continuity mistake: Magnum arrives to his place sporting a V-shaped patch of sweat down his shirt, but inside the guesthouse his clothes are already perfectly dry. (00:04:45)
Continuity mistake: Magnum drives the Ferrari to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific with the sky being overcast. That's just the establishing shot though, because the sky is blue and the sun brightly shines in the rest of the scene. (00:07:45)
Continuity mistake: There's obvious recycled footage to pad the episode during the approach of the chopper to the "fishing spot"; they take off with a chopper with normal skids and no doors, but the one flying over the ocean has flotation pads and its doors in place. The pilot is also wearing beige flare pants and not TC's jeans. The same mistake happens when he flies Magnum over, same recycled footage. (00:35:45)
