Boy in the Time Capsule - S3-E7
Factual error: It's established that the victim disappeared on June 10th 1987 which was the day the time capsule was sealed. However, earlier in the episode the tank is being drained and a part of the album Appetite for Destruction by the band Guns N' Roses is in the capsule. The album was initially released on July 21st 1987. Further to this, the sleeve of the album shows the common 'Cross' artwork which wasn't used on the 1st press of the album. The 'Cross' artwork was first released later that year. (00:12:00)
The Knight on the Grid - S3-E8
Continuity mistake: Amy comes to see Brennan at night to tell her about her daughter's sickness. There are a bunch of letters on the kitchen counter. The envelopes move around in between shots, most noticeably the brown one. (00:03:20)
The Knight on the Grid - S3-E8
Continuity mistake: When the taxi gets blown up we see the bag explode twice. Once which lifts the taxi slightly then a second time to help throw it over. (00:24:50)
The Knight on the Grid - S3-E8
Continuity mistake: When Booth & Bones' taxi gets blown up & flips, the car lands upright, with nothing on the roof except the (now broken) taxi light. Yet when Booth squirms out the driver's side window, there are a few large chunks of asphalt sitting on the roof. (00:25:20)
The Knight on the Grid - S3-E8
Continuity mistake: When Booth drags Bones out the car, he places her on the sidewalk. While putting her down her position changes drastically between shots. (00:25:40)
The Knight on the Grid - S3-E8
Continuity mistake: When Bones is dragged from the taxi after the explosion, she finds a tooth lodged in her arm (from bomb shrapnel). But she was pulled down for safety by Booth just before it went off, and was not exposed to the shrapnel - she was protected by the car door, and nothing was in a direct line to her. Added to that is the fact that her LEFT arm was hit - the arm that would have been on the 'inside/centre' of the front seat (the bomb went off on the right side of the car), and on which she was most likely lying - completely protecting that part of her body. (00:25:40)
The Knight on the Grid - S3-E8
Audio problem: As Booth works out Gormogon was trying to kill them he says "because we know the next target" the line is an overdub of the audio. (00:26:30)
The Knight on the Grid - S3-E8
Other mistake: Towards the end of the episode, Bones and Booth visit social services and discover the identify of an elderly man whom they then suspect to be a Gormagon Master, who had retired from social services and lived in a nursing home. Much earlier in the episode, back at the lab, there is a glass panel with a flow chart of Masters and Apprentice Gormagon's - one labeled Master has the picture of the old man from the nursing home - this is before the visit to social services or the nursing home. (00:28:20)
The Knight on the Grid - S3-E8
Continuity mistake: In the Judge's chambers, Bones puts her hand up to ask if she can something. When the shot changes to a different angle, her arms are crossed in front of her. (00:37:50)
The Knight on the Grid - S3-E8
Continuity mistake: Amy gives Brennan Hailey's Thank You card. Her left hand moves between being down and holding on her bag strap in alternating shots.
The Knight on the Grid - S3-E8
Other mistake: The Gorgomon's bank vault discovered earlier in this season, is cluttered with 'stuff'. But in this episode, Zach discovers that multiple mirrors in the area were placed with care (and not randomly) to allow an video/audio device to see 'all parts of the vault'. First-I doubt any camera would be good enough to see much of anything except the one mirror it was looking at, much less multiple mirrored views (Zach used a laser to show the mirror positions). Second-the Jeffersonian staff are examining all the 'stuff' - they'd have to move some things to use equipment, etc. to check them out. It can be assumed they would have put things back in their original place/position, but it would have been impossible to re-place everything in so precisely the same position that the view, via multiple mirrors, would be the same.
The Santa in the Slush - S3-E9
Continuity mistake: Booth says that Parker is going to Vermont with Rebecca and Captain Fantastic. When he does he has his hands down and is driving. When the shot changes he's rubbing his head with one hand. (00:03:10)
The Santa in the Slush - S3-E9
Continuity mistake: When arguing in the truck and Bones says that Booth needs to accept he won't be having Parker for Christmas this year, Booth has a fist up to his head in one shot but not in the next. (00:15:15)
The Santa in the Slush - S3-E9

The Santa in the Slush - S3-E9
Visible crew/equipment: When the santas ask if Chris is dead, a red tape marker is visible on the floor.
Visible crew/equipment: At the very start the girl bends over to put her stuff down on the floor. Her top rides up a bit and exposes a black microphone wire. (00:00:30)
Answer: Since the palatine bone is a bone that helps form the mouth it has a lot to do with speaking. The shape of it differs a lot depending on your ethnic background. I would guess that they, in the show, meant that the person's bone tells that they were Japanese and that it was "made for the purpose of speaking Japanese." That's what I'd assume anyway. I've studied molecular biology though, so I'm not an expert on bones.
