The Simpsons

Correction: It could have been out of order.

Colonel Homer - S3-E20

Corrected entry: In the beginning of the episode, the family goes to the Googolplex theater but when the show cuts to a shot of the movie screen when Bart and Lisa are watching Space Mutants, the decor around the screen indicates that they are at the Aztec theater. (00:03:20)

Correction: Seeing how Springfield used the same plans for Springfield Elementary and North Springfield Elementary it should be no surprise that two theaters in Springfield have the same decor.

But different episodes have shown them to have different decor.

Ssiscool

They could have been owned by the same company at one time or changed owners. This is also a running gag on the show such as what's on the other side of The Simpsons' house?

Correction: Actually, throughout the whole scene it is blue.

Lightrock

Correction: We see Smithers outside the church wearing the long trench coat, then it cuts to him in the confession booth wearing a blazer. Between those two shots, there is more than enough time for him to take off his trench coat, and he's wearing the blazer underneath. There is no mistake.

Gone Maggie Gone - S20-E13

Corrected entry: When Lisa walks into the church thinking she's the gem, Mother Teresa comes and changes the word puzzle from "Regally, The Rock Gem Is Lisa" to "It's Really Maggie, Sherlock" You can see that the "s" from "Is" in the first puzzle is not used at all in the second puzzle, and the "S, H and E" from "Sherlock" was taken from the "H and E" in "The" from the first puzzle, which means they used two "s" without even using the "s" from "Is" in the first puzzle. (00:18:35)

Elias

Correction: The S from "Is" becomes the S in "It's" the first word in the 2nd puzzle. There's 2 S's in both the puzzles if you actually read it.

fierceVANITY

Correction: There are at least 2 other episodes where marge says d'oh. She says it when she finds out her mother is dating Mr Burns (Lady Bouvier's Lover) and in another episode when she is impersonating homer (Not sure of the episode).

Girls Just Want to Have Sums - S17-E19

Corrected entry: When Lisa crosses over to the boys side of the school, she looks in the window of the math class where the teacher asks the class the volume of a three circled snowman with a carrot nose. Lisa corrects Martin's answer by saying, "He forgot the volume of the carrot nose. One-third base times height!" This is incorrect, the volume of a cone (the shape of a carrot) is one-third pi radius squared times height. Or if she was going for the area instead, that is one-half the base time height. Lisa always prides herself on being incredibly smart, so she should not have made this mistake, especially when she was so confident.

Correction: Hence why she's still in school. because she *doesn't* know everything. Not a mistake, just a child's cocky confidence.

JC Fernandez

Correction: While Northern Ireland is part of the UK, the laws differ slightly between Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales, so therefore what he said is true.

Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy - S5-E14

Corrected entry: When Lisa is having her little town meeting awaiting the spoken words from Malibu Stacy she has all of her other dolls in front of her sitting in little chairs facing a little podium. However when Lisa is venting having heard the moronic slogans Malibu Stacy speaks when her string is pulled there is a close up on Lisa and then the next shot is a wider one of the room and it shows Lisa still holding Malibu Stacy but all of her dolls and furniture are gone. During the entire scene Lisa has her entire focus on the Malibu Stacy problem and is not seen moving about the room at all.

Tobin OReilly

Correction: If you watch carefully, you'll see that Lisa is on one side of a divider and the dolls are on the other side. When the scene pulls out to the wider shot, we see Lisa holding Malibu Stacy (just before the wide shot, we see her pull the doll over the divider). Her other dolls are gone, but they're supposed to be. They are on the other side of the divider (the side closer to the window, as established in the first shot of the doll convention, when we see the living room BEHIND Lisa).

Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy - S5-E14

Corrected entry: On the way back from the mall Grandpa is sat in the back of the car, and says that he can't unbuckle his seatbelt. How then does he manage to reach over and honk the horn?

Correction: He's sitting in the middle, and the buckle being stuck doesn't keep the belt from stretching if you lean forward.

Correction: Marge asks Homer if he put the FOG lights in. The normal lights are on.

Pygmoelian - S11-E16

Corrected entry: When Homer puts the family through an early morning fire drill and rushes them out to the car and drives away they are all in their respective sleeping clothes. However, when they pull up at the Duff Festival they are in their regular clothes, and knowing Homer he wouldn't think far enough ahead to bring a change of clothes for everyone.

Tobin OReilly

Correction: There is nothing to say Homer didn't put clothes in the car. He planned to make the trip to Duff day as quickly as possible. Homer even planned ahead to take the door latches off to ensure no one would escape, meaning this was no spur of the moment decision. There was also enough time between the time they left and arrived at Duff day to have put some clothes on in between.

Lummie

Correction: Homer only references where the car was parked when the ambulance tried to park. As you mention, Homer goes through the pit stop and he would obviously need to park somewhere before returning to the stands. The hiking is irrelevant as he somehow got his car to the track and into the pitstop during the race.

Lummie

Correction: What exactly is the mistake here? We are not shown what Lisa did or didn't notice when she was in Skinner's office and I cannot see what mistake there would be in either respect.

Lummie

Correction: We don't know whether the plan was restarted or not. There was enough time in between the two episodes for the union to have taken the issue up with Mr Burns and demanded it back. Much like when the union went on strike to keep the dental plan and eventually won.

Lummie

Correction: Actually not a mistake. Thats the joke, USA's ignorance of the world around them.

Correction: The door is different; The Front and side doors are used.

Bart's Girlfriend - S6-E7

Corrected entry: When Bart is crossing off the days in his calendar to show how long he has to go without seeing the no-good Jessica, he eventually circles the first day, a Monday, saying, "OK, day one," and then sits to wait. Immediately after, Marge sticks her head in the door announcing it's time for church - which is usually on Sunday.

Correction: True typically church is on a Sunday, however there are times when a special service is during the week,(i.e. Bible study, Revival, Youth service and other Holy Days).

Or Bart circled the wrong day.

Ssiscool

Correction: We can not actually see the hose after Homer runs it over because Homer and Bart have jumped positions and are closer to the grill, so the hose may be out of shot.

Correction: This is done purposely because of the lighting difference between the outside and the inside.

Homer's brain: It's simple, just use reverse psychology.
Homer: Reverse psychology? That sounds too complicated.
Homer's brain: Alright, don't use reverse psychology.
Homer: Alright, I will!

Answer: Willy referred to an encounter he believed he had with actual aliens, while Wiggum thought he was referring to the arcade game.

Answer: The joke is that Willie was so addicted to Space Invaders that he believed it was reality: every time he played, he was actually defending the Earth from dangerous aliens. It's a surprise to him that it was actually a game.
