Corrected entry: Neither Barney nor Homer underwent any sort of physical or medical examination at all. Homer has a heart condition, he has had bypass surgery, and yet he is still allowed to take part in the mission. Also, both of them are surely too overweight to be allowed to participate.
Burns' Heir - S5-E18
Corrected entry: The nuclear power station has three huge chimney stacks belching smoke. Why? What are they burning?
Corrected entry: When Bart and Milhouse buy the 'Super Squishy' Bart pays with a $20 bill. Apu gives no change but after this they go to a V.I.P. arcade, buy tickets for 'Catz' and buy loads of bubblegum. Considering they were out of money in the first place how did they afford all this?
Correction: What they did was simply an image of what they thought they did as Bart couldn't remember the next morning. Many episodes this happens when one of the characters go into song and dance. In the episode "Homer Badman", Homer goes into a song and dance where he and the family are under the sea.
Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy - S5-E14
Corrected entry: Kent Brockman reports that the US President has been arrested for murder. This can't happen. Murder or not, the US President is immune from arrest while in office.
Correction: Not true. President Franklin Pierce was arrested for driving a horse and buggy too fast while in office, and President Ulysses Grant was arrested for driving a horse and buggy while drunk.
Corrected entry: When the bus goes past Ned Flanders while he is performing a drink-driving test with Chief Wiggum, you can see heads floating in mid-air.
Correction: I've just checked this scene, and none of the heads appear to be floating. You can't see below a lot of them, but they're not floating.
Corrected entry: When Bart says 'I'm doing the Conan O'Brien show', the top of his head is slightly transparent - you can see the lining of the kitchen cupboards through it.
Correction: I've just seen this part, and Bart's head absolutely does not look transparent.
Homer's Barbershop Quartet - S5-E1
Corrected entry: During all of the flashbacks, Homer is in stage 1 hair loss (birth of Bart), but shouldn't he have the amount of hair he had after finding out about Lisa's birth? If the flashbacks did occur 8 years ago, shouldn't Marge be pregnant and Homer be bald?
Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy - S5-E14
Corrected entry: When Lisa is having her little town meeting awaiting the spoken words from Malibu Stacy she has all of her other dolls in front of her sitting in little chairs facing a little podium. However when Lisa is venting having heard the moronic slogans Malibu Stacy speaks when her string is pulled there is a close up on Lisa and then the next shot is a wider one of the room and it shows Lisa still holding Malibu Stacy but all of her dolls and furniture are gone. During the entire scene Lisa has her entire focus on the Malibu Stacy problem and is not seen moving about the room at all.
Correction: If you watch carefully, you'll see that Lisa is on one side of a divider and the dolls are on the other side. When the scene pulls out to the wider shot, we see Lisa holding Malibu Stacy (just before the wide shot, we see her pull the doll over the divider). Her other dolls are gone, but they're supposed to be. They are on the other side of the divider (the side closer to the window, as established in the first shot of the doll convention, when we see the living room BEHIND Lisa).
Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy - S5-E14
Corrected entry: On the way back from the mall Grandpa is sat in the back of the car, and says that he can't unbuckle his seatbelt. How then does he manage to reach over and honk the horn?
Correction: He's sitting in the middle, and the buckle being stuck doesn't keep the belt from stretching if you lean forward.
Sweet Seymour Skinner's Baadasssss Song - S5-E19
Corrected entry: When Bart shows his dog in class all the other kids are surprised to see it, but what about when Bart took it to school on the bus? Sureley somebody like Otto or one of the other kids would have seen Bart pick him up?
Correction: Bart hid Santa's Little Helper in a box, which he reveals at school.
Corrected entry: How can Mr. Burns dance so well? On several previous occasions it has been made obvious that he is weak and feeble.
Correction: Burns is more weak when it comes to strength, i.e. lifting or moving items even ones that are particularly light. Something like walking and dancing is not as much of a problem. He also has danced before. In the episode "Hunka Hunka Burns in Love" he managed to dance (with some assistance from an oxygen tank in his jacket pocket).
Corrected entry: When Marge goes to the ballet with Ruth Powers, she has a purple coat with fur around the top. They go to the ballet, and when they come out Marge hasn't got the coat.
Correction: She forgot it at the ballet - character mistake.
$pringfield (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling) - S5-E10
Corrected entry: When Mr. Burns is laughing in church it has a purple interior instead of its usual orange.
Correction: Looking at the shot inside the church there is nothing to indicate that this is the local church that most the townspeople go to. Everything about the church is different from the local church including the walls (which are blue not purple) and the glass paned windows. Being also there is no familiar faces in the church its more likely that this is a different church.
Corrected entry: When we see the outside of Herman's weapon shop, it appears to be a reused shot from Season 1.
Corrected entry: Somebody with glasses and a hat drowns in a river, but later when everybody is looking for the treasure, he is there as if nothing has happened to him at all.
Correction: The man who goes in the river is driving his car and it goes under the water but we never see him drown. As soon as he goes under the water the shot shows Bart. The guy could have simply got out of the river and ran to the treasure site after that. He was in a convertible car and there was enough time from the car sinking to seeing him at the treasure site to have covered that distance.
Homer's Barbershop Quartet - S5-E1
Corrected entry: When the people are protesting at Moe's Bar, you can see several arms that aren't attached to bodies.
Correction: We can't see the bodies that the arms belong to becuase of the people standing in front of them, so we don't know whether there are bodies there or not.
Corrected entry: Homer manages to call Marge from a pay phone even though both of his arms are trapped in two vending machines.
Correction: The whole mission wasn't well thought out to begin. At the end of the day they were looking for a "Blue collared slob" to attract fans, and in that case Barney and Homer were perfect. The fact they were overweight and in average health was not NASA's main concern. Also they do undergo examinations but we probably don't see all of them. One scene we see them doing a lung capacity test.
