Kill the Alligator and Run - S11-E19
Corrected entry: Homer runs outside to see the college students packing. He asks a couple why they are leaving. The couple is putting a statue of a head on their car. The statue blinks the same time the male college student does.
Corrected entry: When Lisa mocks Bart in French, she sings, "Vous ĂȘtes Baby Stinkbreath." However, "Vous ĂȘtes" is the formal construction. A person would not use this when speaking to his or her brother, especially when deliberately being disrespectful towards him. "Tu es," the informal form, would be more appropriate.
Correction: Lisa may still be learning, and it's an easy mistake to make.
Margical History Tour - S15-E11
Corrected entry: Salieri wasn't Mozart's brother - let alone his sister. Wouldn't Martin have been better as the jealous rival? (00:14:25)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Belle (the owner of the burlesque house) tells Homer about Bart breaking a valuable statue, Belle calls it a gargoyle, however this is wrong. A gargoyle has water shooting out of its mouth, the statue Belle was talking about, is called a grotesque.
Correction: While technically correct, the term 'grotesque' is now practically unknown to the general public, who refer to all such statues as gargoyles. Only an expert in the field would realistically refer to them as a grotesque and Belle, as the owner of a burlesque house, is unlikely to qualify for that status.
Corrected entry: At recess, Bart splits his pants in front of the girls. This split isn't visible in any other part of the episode. (00:02:35)
Correction: This episode takes place over multiple days so he could have changed his pants at the start of each day.
Corrected entry: Nelson Mutz is one of the person banned for life by the comic book seller. If so, why he is seen later during Tom Savini's presentation?
Corrected entry: When Homer check the bills, he finds out Bart called Burkina Faso. He was trying to call countries in the Southern Hempisphere, when Burkina Faso is actually in the Northern Hemisphere.
Raging Abe Simpson and His Grumbling Grandson in 'The Curse of the Flying Hellfish' - S7-E22
Corrected entry: When Bart and Grampa are on the shore looking at the paintings that they have just rescued from the bottom of the sea, the authorities suddenly show up. How did they know that they would be there, and that they would have the paintings?
Correction: The authorities mention they had been tracking the paintings for quite some time. Being the location of the paintings had been hidden even from those who stole it (Grandpa Simpson & Mr Burns had to get the keys to find it), the authorities would have likely tracked them until they did recover the paintings. If the pair had been tipped off they likely would have not tried to recover the paintings and the authorities might never find them.
Corrected entry: Homer looks at the phone bill of places Bart has phoned and says "Birkina Faso? Disputed zone?" but Birkina Faso is in the northern hemisphere. And it isn't stupidity because Bart was looking for countries on his globe.
Correction: When Lisa is explaining about the water, Bart shows that he doesn't even know what a hemisphere is. He could have easily forgotten where the line was that Lisa had pointed out to him and was just calling random places. In addition, he could have called other Northern countries to verify the statements.
Brother Can You Spare Two Dimes? - S3-E24
Corrected entry: Homer wants a vibrating chair because his sofa fell apart, which his brother buys for him at the end. In the last scene, Marge is sitting on the same sofa as if it is intact.
Correction: Homer's brother could've paid for a new, resembling the old one.
Corrected entry: Tanks do not have cassette tape players, therefore Burns couldn't play his revenge tape before he tried to arrest Mona. (00:19:55)
Correction: Burns is filthy rich, and could easily have payed to have a cassette deck installed, seeing how he had always wanted to play Ride of the Valkyries while riding a tank into battle. It is of course a spoof of "Apocalypse Now", where helicopters were fitted with tape players and loudspeakers blasting the same music.
Corrected entry: In the opening sequence, Bart is writing 'I Did Not See Elvis' on the board. However, if you pause when the left column of writing is visible, the line second from the bottom on the left column says 'I Did See Elvis'.
Correction: This isn't trivia, its just Bart being, Bart. And also it isn't trivia if you have to pause to see it.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Homer is in the bathroom, Marge yells to Homer for breakfast. We see him running naked without a towel but by the time Homer, Bart, and Lisa get to the breakfast table, Homer is wearing his usual shirt and trousers.
Corrected entry: At various points Homer says things which imply that he has very little problem with anybody being gay (e.g., his misunderstanding with Mr. Burns in "Last Exit to Springfield") but in this episode we are told he is homophobic.
Who Shot Mr. Burns? (1) - S6-E25
Corrected entry: The oil blasts into Bart's treehouse injuring Bart and the dog. But weren't the whole family at the schools oil dedication a few moments before?
The President Wore Pearls - S15-E3
Corrected entry: Isn't it a little off-character for Bart to be concerned about school?
Correction: No. He has run for school council president. He has buckled down and studied when faced with failing. He has ended a strike. He has worked to get Flanders fired as principal and Skinner reinstated. He cares about school.
Corrected entry: At the wedding, we see an old Ned and Maude Flanders sitting with the guests, even though Maude dies during series 11, years before the wedding.
Correction: Not really a mistake as the "future" event was only a prediction from a dubious fortune teller and not an accurate or precise account of things to come. As the fortune teller told Lisa of her future, what we see is Lisa imagining the story, and seeing as Lisa would not know of Maude's untimely death, she would still assume, as the fortune teller spoke of the wedding party that everyone she knows now would be there.
Tree House of Horror VI - S7-E6
Corrected entry: In "Attack Of The 50 ft. Eyesores", Kent Brockman is eaten or crushed by a giant version of himself. He then appears at the end of the segment, intact. (00:02:35 - 00:06:25)
Correction: The Tree House of Horror episodes show many people dying and coming back. They are meant as Halloween specials and as such they do not follow normal logic.
Midnight Rx - S16-E6
Corrected entry: In this episode Apu says in the car on the way to Canada that he worships several gods. But in a much earlier episode, "Homer's Barbershop Quartet" during a flashback when Apu is asked to change his name he says "It is a great dishonour to my ancestors and my god."
Correction: Apu is a Hindu. Hinduism teaches that there is in fact only one god (Brahman), but that it manifests itself in many different ways, such as Vishnu, Shiva, Ganesha etc. Each of these manifestations can be worshipped as a deity, and most Hindus chooses which manifestation to worship (the "personal" aspect of the deity, Ishvara). But ultimately all prayers and sacrifices are directed to the same entity. As we can see through the entire series, Apu worships Ganesha primarily, but he would recognize other forms of god, called Devas, which often translates as "gods". It is not entirely accurate, but that's the problem with translation. So there is nothing wrong with him expressing both a monotheistic and polytheistic wiew of the world.
The Simpson's 138th Show Spectacular - S7-E10
Corrected entry: In this episode Troy shows us that when Maggie is scanned it says "NRA4EVR". If you pause any other episode you will see that when Maggie is scanned it reads "$847.63".
Correction: Not a mistake, it's a joke.
Correction: That's not a statue head, that's a person. In the zoom out right before Homer starts talking to them, you can see his torso in the car windshield wearing a green shirt and he has his arm on top of the car. When Homer starts talking to the couple, the man looks like a disembodied head on top of the car.
