The Simpsons

The Telltale Head - S1-E8

Corrected entry: In the opening sequence, Bart is writing 'I Did Not See Elvis' on the board. However, if you pause when the left column of writing is visible, the line second from the bottom on the left column says 'I Did See Elvis'.

Correction: This isn't trivia, its just Bart being, Bart. And also it isn't trivia if you have to pause to see it.

Krusty Gets Busted - S1-E12

Corrected entry: During the trial, the prosecutor shows the court several betting slips that Krusty's used. Right before this, Krusty revealed he couldn't read or write - how would Krusty have known what to write on the slips?

DaveJB

Correction: The betting slips could simply be the records that the betting agency took down of Krusty when he bet on events (e.g. In Lisa the Greek Krusty phones in his bet to Moe on the football and tells him to record a bet for Sideshow Mel).

Lummie

Correction: This is done purposely because of the lighting difference between the outside and the inside.

Correction: Not really, there's an episode where Apu is seen putting old hot dogs to sell.So why would Apu use the safety rules now?

Correction: Homer is wearing orange gloves throughout the scene, including during his fall. The bare hands belong to Flanders.

Correction: Actually, if you look closely, you can see a thin string connecting beads, it's just not distinct enough on the yellow background.

Correction: It is quite possible that they have dodgeball at the same time.

Chaz1003

Correction: Your lips don't have to move to say "ooooh" the way he was. It was more of a groan than anything else.

Correction: The window you see is not the same window we see next to the store entrance. It's to the left of the store when he walks in. We actually never see a clear view of the entrance when Homer gets in the store.

Lummie

Correction: If you look closely her hair to the right of her starts to flick over her shoulder as she turns to look around. The hair going around her neck gives the illusion her hair has separated her body from her head but it's just long hair covering her body below her neckline.

Lummie

Correction: Looking a few times there is no difference in the skin color of any of the characters in that scene.

Lummie

Correction: I just watched this episode and looked out for this mistake, and it is certainly spelled correctly.

Homer's Odyssey - S1-E3

Corrected entry: When they first get on the school bus, there is only one seat left, and that is the one next to the kid who later vomits inside the bus. But when Bart makes his way to that seat, you can see that he goes past one other kid who is sitting on his own.

Correction: If you keep an eye on that seat as Bart walks to wendel, you'll notice Mrs. Krabbappel sit in it. she'd hardly stand for the whole trip now would she?

Season 1 generally

Corrected entry: For season 1, in the introduction Lisa narrowly misses Homer on her bike, then lets it roll into the garage. If you look closely, you can see the bike disappear before the screen moves.

Correction: The bike doesn't disappear - it rolls to the left hand side of the garage out of sight.

Ssiscool

Correction: Bart might have believed it was spelt Quick instead of Kwik. It sounds the same and most kids when they learn to spell are taught to spell as it sounds, so that might have lead to Bart not thinking it was a mistake. It was only a small display for plan of attack.

Lummie

As a regular customer at the Kwik-E-Mart, I'm pretty sure that he would know how it was spelt.

Correction: They probably did this for a joke.

Also, later on in the series, Lenny and Carl ask why it's called a high five when they only have 4 fingers.

Homer's brain: It's simple, just use reverse psychology.
Homer: Reverse psychology? That sounds too complicated.
Homer's brain: Alright, don't use reverse psychology.
Homer: Alright, I will!

Tree House of Horror V - S6-E6

Question: Homer travels back in time and causes changes by what he does in the past, like stepping on a bug. I once saw a movie with the same basic plot: some people travel back in time and are told to be careful not to disturb anything, but when they return to their time everything has changed. In the end they discover it was because they stepped on a butterfly. Does anyone know the name of this movie?

Answer: I'm not sure if this is the one you're thinking of, but an episode of "Ray Bradbury Theatre," called "A Sound of Thunder," dealt with a similar matter: a group of hunters travel back in time to hunt dinosaurs, only to find things have changed when they get back because someone stepped on a butterfly.
