Visible crew/equipment: When Roy walks into the ER with the actor who plays Dr. Ned, the nurse rushes over to Roy, and when she asks him about the actor, we can see the bulge of the lavalier mic transmitter at the back of her uniform.

Emergency! (1972)
Visible crew/equipment: When Johnny and Roy are with the man whose fingers are caught in the chain of the garage door opener, just as the man's wife sticks her head out the door to direct 86 to the garage, the outline of the mic transmitter is visible on the back of her blouse.

Continuity mistake: When all the guys enter the apartment with the doctor lying on the couch, John's carrying the Biophone with his right hand and starts to place it down, but then it cuts to another angle and John's holding the Biophone in his left hand as he places it down.

Visible crew/equipment: At the studio, before John tests Wally's equipment, when Roy says that he's going to get their equipment from the squad, Johnny rushes after him and we see the reflection of the camera crane and array lighting facing Squad 51.

Visible crew/equipment: After Dr. Early tells Mr. Jefferson that he knows who he is, it cuts to Johnny at the table with the typewriter, and the shiny chrome surface of the coffee pot reflects multiple set lights.

Emergency! (1972)
Continuity mistake: At the scene of the vehicle accident, once Vince wraps the gauze around the head of the driver of the pickup truck, the same bystanders are standing in two places at once - on the sidewalk beside Engine 51 and across the street beside Squad 51.

Emergency! (1972)
Revealing mistake: When the woman from the car accident is in the ER, she goes into V-fib, so Brackett, Morton, Roy and Johnny work on her and defib four times without success, and as we hear the hum of the flatlining, the camera pans to the left just low enough so that we can see her lying on the gurney, with her blue shirt still buttoned up.

Emergency! (1972)
Continuity mistake: When the woman from the car accident is in the ER, and goes into V-fib, Brackett, Morton, Roy and Johnny work on her. Johnny does chest compressions and they defib three times, then Morton takes over the chest compressions, but when Brackett is about to defib the fourth time we see Johnny's arms stopping the compressions, when in fact it was Morton doing them at that time.

Emergency! (1972)
Visible crew/equipment: After we see Marco and Captain Stanley heading up to the roof, it cuts to a shot in the elevator when Roy says "The firemen are working as hard and as fast as they can, to get us down from here," and the crew's moving shadow can be seen on the left, where the camera is located at the elevator doorway.

Continuity mistake: When John and Roy rappel down together after John's rope kinked up, as they reach the bottom Roy and John remove their helmets, but as Wally rappels down both paramedics still have their helmets on in the overhead shot.

Audio problem: After the rescue at the refinery fire, while they load the ambulance, when Roy and John are being thanked the man's mouth movements are not in sync with what we hear.

Emergency! (1972)
Continuity mistake: After Early tells Dr. Ned that he thinks he has mononucleosis, when Early leaves the room, the nurse that's in the room with Dixie walks away from the patient to the other side of the room, but in Dr. Ned's closeups that nurse is still standing behind him while he talks to Dixie.

Emergency! (1972)

Revealing mistake: At the movie studio, when the actor who plays Dr. Ned is loaded onto the ambulance stretcher, their set's 'fake' window area is the same as Rampart's 'real' hallway later in the episode. We can see this when Brackett, Early and Dix walk down the hallway to kick Dr. Ned's film crew out of his room. Pretty funny to see the same chairs, wall, window with painted exterior backdrop and color stripes on the floor. This area of Rampart can also be seen in the previous episode 'Family Ties', when the clock radio shorts out causing a fire in the patient's room.

Trivia: The rattlesnake that bites Johnny in this episode is a real defanged rattler. Randolph Mantooth wore a protective layer around his leg, under his pants, and had to shake his leg to taunt the rattlesnake to strike him. When the rattler did strike his leg, it was higher than they anticipated, above his protective layer, and it got snagged on his pants so he had to shake his leg to get it off him.

How Green Was My Thumb? - S3-E17
Continuity mistake: Before they bring in the young girl who fell (with a dog bite), Dixie tells Brackett that she'll set up for her in treatment 1, and after Squad 95 brings her in, when Brackett and the paramedic (Donald Mantooth) leave the room we see that she is indeed in treatment 1, which is beside receiving. However, when Brackett takes the parents to see her, they go through the door that's between the double doors and treatment 2, which are on the opposite side of the hallway from treatment 1. Then in the next shot they're back in treatment 1.

Other mistake: When Johnny and Roy take the elevator with the nurse, they take the elevator near the nurses' station, at the south end of the ER wing, and Johnny follows the nurse onto the 4th floor to try and get her name. This is completely impossible considering the actual floor plan of the hospital, since in all of the exterior shots of the ER it's only 2 storeys.

How Green Was My Thumb? - S3-E17
Revealing mistake: When Roy brings in the man with the laryngeal obstruction (partial dental plate), Morton and Early meet them at receiving, then as they rush the stretcher into treatment 1, it's amusing to note that the treatment room across the hall (treatment 2) has room number 412 on it, and even better, treatment 1 itself has number 411 on its door. Obviously the set was prepped for the following shots, when Johnny follows the nurse onto the 4th floor.

Other mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to the woman who fell through the ground into the abandoned well in her backyard, en route there's a moving bird's-eye view as the filming chopper follows 51's vehicles making a right turn. On the ground below, there are two people standing beside a blue station wagon, and one points up to the filming chopper flying overhead.

Emergency! (1972)
Revealing mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to 'fire in the salvage yard', in the exterior shot as the squad and engine roll out of the bay, we can see the real Station 127's vehicle is still parked inside the apparatus bay, near the rear bay door.
