Other mistake: The USC game that Roy and Johnny are assigned to is supposed to be a sold-out game, but in closeup shots of the crowd around the guys, we can see that around the small crowd of extras used during the shoot, the seats are empty.

Continuity mistake: When John is putting the pompier belt around the waist of the man stuck up in the tree, he buckles it so the flap is going towards the man's right, but in the next shot as Chet climbs the ladder behind John, the life belt is around the man's waist the opposite way. Then, when John cuts the rope, the belt is back on the original way.

Trivia: It's in this episode that the Heimlich Maneuver is used for the first time by the paramedics. At the USC game, when a guy is choking on a hot dog, John and Roy are called, and John uses the Heimlich. Up until season 6 we've seen the guys use other methods, such as the ChokeSaver which look like huge white tweezers, to remove obstructions in an airway, as seen in 4x9, "Foreign Trade."

Visible crew/equipment: On scene at the accident with the tanker carrying liquid hydrogen, after Chet extinguishes the fire that ignited on Johnny's back, when the fire spreads and the car explodes, the car falls onto its side and the FX stunt platform that the car was resting on becomes visible. Then two shots later that platform has vanished, as they hose down the fire.

Visible crew/equipment: When Johnny and Roy get back to the station, and Captain Stanley tells them to come into the office where Chief Houts is waiting, the reflection of numerous set lighting can be seen on the squad's chrome spotlight.

Revealing mistake: When Roy and Johnny are on the cliff loading the unconscious victim onto the stokes, as they try to lift each of the victim's legs, we can see the unconscious man also lifting his own leg to assist the actors.

Other mistake: After Dixie gets the call from the dental clinic about the possible MI, she and Brackett take the elevator located at the nurses' station and head up to the dental clinic on the third floor. Problem is that the ER is only a 2-storey building, so that is quite impossible.

Continuity mistake: When the unconscious boy is brought to the ER, he's taken into treatment 2, with a windowless door, but when Early is doing the lumbar tap on the boy, the door behind Early has a window, and also by the way the room is set up, we know it's treatment 1 he's in, not 2.

Visible crew/equipment: While Brackett is on Copter 10, after the dispatcher tells the pilot that the truck driver has been heard on the CB saying that he's trapped in the cab, repeating the same location, when we see the bird's-eye view of Copter 10 flying below, the shadow of the filming helicopter is right beside the shadow of the Copter 10 chopper, at the top of the screen. Audio problem: When Vince and Mike pull the tabletop out from under the car, while Roy is under there with Mrs. Merkle, we hear the audio of Roy loudly saying, "I'm telling you right now, we're gonna have to brace this thing well, this thing will...," but what's oddly funny is that the dialogue is dubbed right over Roy saying, "Wait, wait, let me check her over...," which is a neat trick that he can say both lines at the same time.

Continuity mistake: When they pull Mrs. Merkle from under the wrecked car in the restaurant, the BP cuff is not visible around her right arm, but in her closeup she has the wide BP cuff around her arm with the gauge facing up, then in the wide shot once again the BP cuff is not visible.

Continuity mistake: When they pull the man with chest pains from the pickup truck, Dixie says treatment 3, which is opposite the receiving entrance and on the same side of the hall as the nurses' station, closest to the red line on the hallway floor, but when Dixie leaves the treatment room it's at the side of the hallway closest to the yellow line, and since there's a window on its door we know it's actually treatment 1 that he's in, not 3.

Continuity mistake: At the restaurant, when they begin to work on getting Mrs. Merkle out from under the car, Vince sets the Biophone down on the table, and there's a netted, red glass candle on the table, but in a following closeup the candle's net has vanished and it's pinkish clear glass now. Other items on the table change as well.
