Continuity mistake: After bringing the man who choked on a beer can's pull tab to Rampart, when Squad 51 returns to the station and backs up the driveway, the engine seen parked in the apparatus bay is the Crown from seasons 1 and 2, not their current Ward LaFrance engine.

Other mistake: When Roy and Johnny help free the man whose arm is trapped in the pipe, just as the man stands up we can see the boxes of detergent on the shelf behind him, with their brand names covered with black tape.

Revealing mistake: After Station 51 is dispatched to the 'plane in trouble' it becomes a plane crash rescue and recovery, and when they pull out the pilot's body, who they said died on impact, his right hand moves to clasp his left wrist, and he also bends and moves his leg.

Other mistake: When Dixie and Mr. Hart are on the elevator, we see the number five lit up on the panel above the door as they head down to the first floor in the ER, where they meet Johnny and the kids, who get on the elevator to head up to the fourth floor. The problem is that the ER is only a 2-storey building.

Continuity mistake: When Brackett asks Early and Morton to assist with the examination of the hallucinating veteran, in the shot from the hallway the doctors walk into treatment 1, its door has no window, but when it cuts to the shot from inside the room, its door has a window, which means they're all in treatment 2 or 3, not 1.

Continuity mistake: When Billy's mother waits in the hallway while Early examines Billy, the window behind her is on the same side as the ER's receiving entrance. Note that outside the window there's a blue metal shade at the top, which does not exist in any exterior shots of that side of the ER.

Other mistake: At the start, when Roy is reviewing the list making sure he got everything, there are two containers of milk on the counter which have their brand names covered. As an aside, watch Chet as he empties the grocery bag and puts the aluminum can in the freezer.

Other mistake: At the scrapyard with the man who was nearly crushed in the car, when Roy takes his BP the stethoscope chestpiece is on the man's arm in the wide shot, but in the closeup the chestpiece hangs in mid-air not actually touching the man's arm, yet Roy continues to read the BP.

Continuity mistake: While Johnny and Roy are with Dixie at the nurses' station, when Johnny looks for his paycheck in his shirt pockets, his right pocket's flap stays wonky, part in/part out in the closeup, but in the wide shot it's properly flat, then crooked, then straight again. Additionally, after Johnny finds the check in his wallet, he puts it into his left shirt pocket and points at Roy with his empty right hand, but when Early walks over Johnny has that check in right hand.

Continuity mistake: After Squad 51 is dispatched to the 'injured man', when Roy and Johnny get out of the squad, Roy is not wearing his watch as they're walking to the victim while getting hounded by the dog, but in the next shot the watch is back on Roy's wrist as the dog chews on his pants.

Revealing mistake: When John and Roy reach the man lying near the pool with a back injury, while Thadeus keeps gnawing and grabbing at Roy's pant leg, we see the extra material that Roy has under the pants (over his socks) to prevent the dog from accidentally harming his legs.

Continuity mistake: While Roy and Johnny are with the back injury victim, his dog, Thadeus, runs off with the BP cuff, and when Roy chases him and falls into the pool, Roy's now wearing the water-type shoes, note the flat sole. Then when he and Johnny leave, the uniform shoes are back.

Visible crew/equipment: At the scene of the scaffold accident on the side of the building, near the top of the crane, there is a small covered booth that hangs from the crane. We can see the reflection of the hidden second cameraman and his camera in the mirrored windows of the building, as he leans in and out of that booth to film some of the footage we see during this scene.

Visible crew/equipment: When Station 51 is dispatched to an unknown type rescue, which turns out to be two people stuck on the side of a building, in the first shot of them the aerial camera tilts down and pans right to left, and as it does the reflection of the crane (supporting the camera) is visible on the building's glass siding, and the crane's outboard legs are also visible as the camera follows the squad into the lot.
