Visible crew/equipment: Just as 51's guys are removing the novelist from the car that's filled with carbon monoxide fumes, a crew member's reflection, as well as the screen from production equipment, can be seen on the car's driver side window.

After Brackett tells Morton he wants an EEG, skull x-rays, and brain scan, when Morton heads to the phone to order the neurological workup, we can see the actor's white tape mark under the gurney, where the young doctor had been standing.

Other mistake: When John and Roy treat the 12 year old boy in anaphylactic shock, Early states, "Start IV D5W, 1 milligram epinephrin IV push," and John confirms the order. Then after giving Rampart a new set of vitals which are poor, Early orders, "Add 50 milligrams Benadryl IV push." But when John confirms that order he only says, "1 milligram epinephrine IV push," (which is the earlier order) and Early actually okays John's incorrect repeat of the order, even though John did not confirm the order of "50 milligrams Benadryl."

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When Johnny brings the officer who was shot into the ER, as soon as he's loaded onto the gurney Carol takes his BP then tells Brackett his BP, but she also tells him that his pulse is 120, even though she never took his pulse. Additionally, when Morton places the blood vials on the tray and tells the nurse, "I want this sent to the lab STAT, type and cross match, and CBC and differentials STAT," due to the urgency of the situation, but the nurse doesn't leave, she just stands for the rest of the scene.

Emergency! (1972)
Continuity mistake: While the boy who has cyanide poisoning is in the ER, Dixie looks through his clothing and finds carved peach pits, and when she directs Brackett's attention to all the carved pits, the items change when it cuts to the closeup. Additionally, that closeup starts out being farther, and we can see that Dixie is not beside the table before it zooms in.

Continuity mistake: When Station 51 is being dispatched to the fire and explosion at Martell Industries, the other companies called are Station 36 and Engine 14, but we see Engine 236 at the scene even though they were not called. This is before Captain Stanley asks dispatch for the second alarm.

Other mistake: During the paint factory fire, when Engine 2 rolls up, we can see the red, large, rectangular vinyl material that is adhered to the front of the engine, with the company number printed on it. There's also vinyl material adhered to the top of the cab as well as the back of the engine with nothing on it, presumably covering the engine company's real number.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When Squad 51 and the engine company arrive at the rock quarry, in the shot after John tells Jason to get the HT, just as Roy, Captain Stanley and Mike walk towards the right side of the screen, something drops down from the top of the screen, enough to cover the top left corner of the screen area, then gets pulled back up.
