Continuity mistake: Just after Harry says "prepare the world for bad news," air raid sirens start. There's a panning down shot of some air raid speakers next to a Coca-Cola ad, with a truck parked in front of it. The angle then changes to a shot down the street (same street, same speakers, same Coca-Cola ad), except the truck isn't in front of the ad any more. (01:56:10)

Contact (1997)
Continuity mistake: When they realize the signal's counting prime numbers, watch the man in the red shirt behind Ellie when 11's being counted off. He's counting on his fingers, fills up his right hand, and moves to his left. The angle then changes to a closer shot, and his left hand is now curled up, with no numbers counted off on it at all, and he continues on his right.

Friends (1994)
The One In Barbados, part 2 - S9-E24
Continuity mistake: In the One in Barbados (part 2), just after Monica bashes her hand against the table, the shot of Chandler asking if she's OK shows Monica raising a finger right at the edge of the screen. We then cut to Monica, who's cradling both her hands together. (00:42:50)

Robocop (1987)
Continuity mistake: When the executive is shot by Ed 209 near the beginning, we see bullet holes in his back, so they're obviously going through, but there's no damage to the windows behind him. (00:11:30)

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994)
Continuity mistake: In the apartment crime scene, Sean Young says "we'll let you know if we find a tic", and the large grey-haired cop on her left chuckles, arms by his side. We then cut to a close-up of him with his hands on his hips, pushing his jacket to the sides, then back to the original shot with his hands by his sides again. The close-up itself is a bit weird - Sean Young should be right in front of him, but isn't visible. They must have used a later shot, because after about a minute, when everyone's moved around a lot, we see him back in exactly that position, only now the people visible fit the scenario better. The Peacemaker (1997)
Continuity mistake: Just after the explosion in the square, we see a shot of the Mercedes' door, and it's still bright silver. In the shot immediately afterwards of George Clooney and Nicole Kidman getting to their feet, it's charred black. (00:51:10)

Charlie's Angels (2000)
Continuity mistake: In the scene on the plane at the beginning, just before the bomber speaks, a stewardess passes in front of the camera. It's obviously to cover a cut - after she's passed, the amount of sun visible on the seats changes, the two women behind are closer to the camera, and the nun's looking the other way. (00:02:15)

Blues Brothers 2000 (1998)
Continuity mistake: During the escape from the "bluegrass" gig, Dan Aykroyd pulls out a remote control, fires up the car, and slowly turns the wheel to the left. We then see the car pulling out and slowly turning right. (01:07:50)

Die Another Day (2002)
Continuity mistake: When Miranda Frost finally gets killed, her right arm goes from being held up, then outstretched when she gets kicked, to up just before she falls over, to outstretched as she actually does fall over. (01:55:15)

Die Another Day (2002)
Continuity mistake: During the training program, Bond shoots M to make the gunman release her. We then cut to a closeup of Bond shooting, and you can see the slide cycles, then locks back (it's a quick shot, but the earlier shot of him shooting at M shows how quickly the slide should move forwards), showing the gun's out of ammo, despite only having reloaded 4 shots earlier. It then cuts to the gunman being hit, and Bond fires again. Now that's some speedy reloading... (01:01:30)

Back to the Future (1985)
Continuity mistake: In the escape from Biff on the skateboard, Marty collides with a couple near some steps. His skateboard is left at their feet, but after a cut his skateboard's now behind the woman's head in an ideal place for Marty to grab it. The papers thrown in the air suddenly multiply and appear on the ground (under the people, which means they must have dropped the papers first before falling over!). (01:04:15)

Back to the Future (1985)
Continuity mistake: Marty has a brainwave about how to generate the power needed to get back to 1985, and shows Doc the flyer he was given, which Jennifer had written "I love you" on the back of, with her number. Problem is that after Doc grabs the flyer, we can see the back of it, and it's totally blank. (00:10:55 - 00:52:05)

Spider-Man (2002)
Continuity mistake: When Spider-Man catches Mary Jane as she falls off the balcony, in the shot from above there are two columns lying on the ground - one on the right as we look at it, a few feet from the red area and parallel to it, and one on the left at an angle. In the shot of them landing, the one closest to the red area has disappeared. (01:06:50)

The Matrix Reloaded (2003)
Continuity mistake: During the car chase, one of the Twins shoots at a car behind them to get it out of the way - the right side of the windscreen (as we look at it) is peppered with holes. From another angle, they disappear, only to reappear as it swerves away. (01:25:55)

The Usual Suspects (1995)
Continuity mistake: When the cop car's being hijacked, a sledgehammer's slammed down right in the centre of the windscreen. A second later, a shot from inside the car shows the impact point as down in the bottom left corner. (00:31:40)

Lethal Weapon (1987)
Continuity mistake: While working out the case at the shooting range, Murtaugh only fires one shot, and Riggs fires 9 (offscreen shots during their continuous conversation are noticeably quieter, from other shooters). When they reel in the targets, Murtaugh's target has 6 holes, and Riggs' has 14 or 15. (00:52:00)

Lethal Weapon (1987)
Continuity mistake: At the shooting range, just after saying "That's very thin", Riggs has his arms outstretched, semi-aiming his gun. Cut to a two-shot, and he's got his arms into his body. (00:52:55)
4th May 2003
Lethal Weapon 3 (1992)
Continuity mistake: Riggs sees the mugging, and rushes over to intervene. He leaps in, knocks the "mugger" to the ground, and has enough time to comment on the rubber gun before the director shouts "cut." - about 10 seconds. Was the director asleep? (00:22:00)

Batman Forever (1995)
Continuity mistake: When Batman jumps up into the Riddler's lair, he's gone up the outside of the shaft - we see a shot from his point of view right up to the point of entry, and he's right at the edge. But when he jumps back into the shaft, despite not having moved, he's suddenly right in the middle of it.

Die Hard (1988)
Continuity mistake: When he's climbing down the vents, the strap unties, and Bruce Willis falls. He misses the vent he was reaching for, and falls past the next one, so we assume he catches the third one down. However, after he flicks off his lighter, the camera pans up from the lit vent to Karl, and we can see that he somehow grabbed and climbed into the vent he definitely fell right past in the shot from above.
