Other mistake: When the man injured in the manhole is brought to treatment 6, Early tells Roy to patch him up for an EKG, but the subtitles read, "Patch one from the EKG," and then Early tells the x-ray technician to do a skull and chest series, but the subtitles read, "Skull and chest searches." Other mistake: On scene at the traffic accident, when the woman and the boy with non-serious injuries are seated at the back of the ambulance, neither Roy or Johnny are going along with them to Rampart, yet Johnny puts the drug box inside the back of the ambulance with them, and the ambulance drives off. With their drug box! Captain Stanley even says that he'll advise dispatch that they're available for a run at the scene, while the guys will be looking for the dog.

Continuity mistake: When the man with three bullet wounds is wheeled into the ER, he's taken into treatment 3 which has a windowless door, but in the shots from inside the room he's in treatment 1 with a window on its door, and the room has a different interior.

Audio problem: When Squad 51 is dispatched to the hotel fire, Roy's holding the bullhorn in one hand to instruct everyone, and the HT in his other hand. After Johnny catches the baby, just before Truck 8 rolls in, when Roy says over the HT, "All right, set up the Truck...," he moves his hand with the HT away from his face and directs Truck 8, yet his voice is still booming as if speaking into it.

Revealing mistake: When Roy brings the man with a laryngeal obstruction into the ER and is taken quickly to treatment 1, his head is tilted back and Early places a laryngoscope into the patient's mouth and says that he sees the obstruction. The problem is that we can see that the laryngoscope is actually at the side of the patient's face. Then, when Early uses the forceps to remove the obstruction, once again we can see that it does not go into the patient's mouth.

Trivia: In addition to Randolph Mantooth's brother Donald appearing in this episode, while Roy and John are in Mrs. Johnson's apartment, when Roy's telling John some of the plants' names, John picks up a plant from the table and asks Roy what its name is. And when Roy answers, "Sadie", John smiles at the plant and says, "Hey, Sadie, how you doing?" Sadie is Mantooth's mother's name.

Continuity mistake: While climbing the tower to rescue the "man" at the top, after Johnny slips and slams into the cross beam, when he and Chet are heading back down the tower, the two lights attached to the tower keep switching from the right side to the left side, depending if it's a closeup of them or a wide shot of their doubles. Additionally, in the closeups the lights are large and round, but in the wide shots one of them is a small square.

Visible crew/equipment: When Station 51 is being dispatched to 'auto accident with injuries' there's a closeup of Sam Lanier, the dispatcher, and in the next overhead shot of the apparatus bay, we can see the reflection/shadow of equipment moving on Engine 51's windshield, at the bottom left corner.
